The police inspectors came inside and Avni made her decision at the same time.

Inspector - How are you feeling sir?

Neil - I'm fine inspector, thank you. By the way, I'm ACP Neil Khanna, Mumbai police. (he forward his hand towards the inspector)

Inspector shook hands with Neil and saw Avni who was standing beside him.

Inspector - Mam, we have to ask you several questions as we got to know that you were present with sir when the accident took place.

Avni nods.

Inspector - Have you noted down the car's number?

Avni - I wasn't able to do so as the culprit was driving the car at high speed.

Inspector - Have you seen the person who was driving the car?

Avni nods.

Before the inspector can continue his interrogation, Neil interrupted their conversation.

Neil - I'm sorry, inspector but right now my wife needs some rest, she is pregnant yet she is continuously running around for my treatment. Moreover, I want to lead the investigation in my own way and I will surely contact you regarding the same. I hope you understand my point.

Inspector - It's okay, sir we are sorry for bothering you. We will wait for your orders.

Neil nods and the police inspector left the room. Avni sighs and collected the soup bowl from the side table and directed a spoonful of soup towards Neil who drank it without any protest. Avni's silence was really bothering him, this was not the way he wanted to end their beautiful trip. He wanted to create some memories today as well but fate played a cruel card. Though the past few hours were devastating, he was happy that his wife and child were fine, moreover, the small display of his wifey's feeling towards him has filled his heart with happiness.

He wanted to give her some peace that's why he postponed the interrogation but seems like his wifey wants to stress herself now and then. He sighed and held the spoon filled with soup in his hand with which Avni was trying to feed him. He directs the spoon in front of her mouth while Avni opens her mouth to protest but Neil took the opportunity and pushes the spoon into her mouth making her shock. He pulled out the spoon from her mouth and had some, he again forwards it towards Avni who shook her head making him frown.

Neil - Have it or else I will also stop eating.

Avni - Neil, the soup is for you. Have it so that you can take your medicines as well.

Neil - Ananya, even you need proper nutrition, come on have some then I will obey your every command. (he says the last line dramatically making her chuckle.)

Avni - You are so stubborn.

Neil - That's why we both are compatible. (winks at her)

She shook her head and both of them finished the soup after that she gave him his medicines and made him lie down on the bed and covered him with a duvet.

Avni - Are you feeling any sort of pain?

She asked in a worried voice making him smile.

Neil - You are with me then everything is right. No pain can bother me when you are beside me.

He held her hand and plants a soft kiss on her knuckles making her blush a little, she looked everywhere except him while his eyes were locked on her. He smiled a little feeling his wifey's shyness and pulls her closer to him. Their faces were an inch apart while their warm breathes were fanning on each other, Neil plants his lips over her cheek kissing her tenderly making her clutch the bedsheet, his soft lips lingering over her warm cheek were making her feel all the sensuous emotions that she missed all her life. Avni Ayesha always repelled from the magnet of love and intimacy until some certain Neil Khanna pulled her into the zone of love and intensity by using his strong magnetic force. Now, he won't leave her even if she wants to do so. He moves back a little to create some difference between them as he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way. He cupped her face and spoke in his deep husky voice.

Neil - Sleep beside me.

Avni - Neil you need rest and we both can't adjust on the same bed.

Neil - And who said that? (raises his eyebrows)

Avni - Neil... (Neil cuts her off)

Neil - Please Ananya. (puppy dog face)

Avni - I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable. (sighs)

Neil - You won't now please come.

Avni sighs and tries to adjust herself beside him but Neil gently pulls her towards himself by wrapping an arm over her shoulder. Avni's head lies on Neil's chest while Neil circles his other arm around her waist and their legs entangled in the most intimate way. He inhales her feminine scent and calms down in her presence. His hand trails towards her belly and caresses it gently making her gasp in anticipation.

Neil - I can't wait for the day when we will feel his or her movements. (chuckles) Then after a long wait, we will have our baby in front of our eyes.

Avni - Our baby is worth the wait. (smiles)

Neil - I'm sorry baby, today your mom bothered herself and my little sweetheart a lot due to your dada's condition. (he speaks softly while caressing her belly.)

Avni - Don't say like this Neil, we both are incomplete without you. (whispers)

Neil caresses her hairs from another hand while still making patterns over her belly.

Neil - And you both have given a new meaning to my life.

Avni snuggles closer to him while he tightens his hold over her and kissed her hairs making her smile. Avni was lost within his embrace but soon her mind drifted back to the previous event. She sighs and looks at Neil who is looking at her with a slight frown between his eyebrows.

Neil - Do you want to say something?

Avni nods and Neil waits for her to continue.

Avni - Neil, the person who was driving the car was none other than Amol Mehta.

Avni's heart clenched when she realized that her brother has been converted into a monster named Amol Mehta and he has lost all the goodness and humanity that Ayesha ma wanted in her Aman. If she wants her Aman back then she has to kill the evilness that subsides within the monster Dayavanti has created. Moreover, she cannot save the person who harmed her husband. She is already very much guilty about hiding her true identity from Neil, now she doesn't want to increase her guilt by saving Neil's culprit. Neil doesn't deserve all this and Aman needs to realize his mistake. These thoughts motivated her to take the right decision.

Neil - Amol Mehta? (slightly confused)

Avni - Dayavanti's grandson. (sighs)

Neil - How do you know him?

Avni - I haven't met him personally but I saw his portrait in Mehta Mansion and Dayavanti herself confessed that he is coming back to India this month only.

Neil nods.

Neil - Are you sure?

Avni nods positively.

Neil - I will start the investigation from tomorrow. Right now, we both need some rest. So sleep wifey, don't bother my baby with this stressful conversation. (he says the last line playfully)

Avni smiles a little and surrenders herself within the powerful embrace of sleep. Neil kept on caressing her hair until she was asleep. When he felt her sleeping peacefully, he took his mobile that was lying on the side table and called DD, and after a few rings, DD answered his call.

DD - Neil sir. How are you? How is Ananya bhabhi?

Neil - Ananya is fine DD and I just met with a small accident.

DD - What? Do you want me to come there?

Neil - No DD, everything is fine here. I want details regarding Dayavanti's grandson, Amol Mehta. According to Ananya, he is the culprit behind the accident. Moreover, he was driving the car under the influence of alcohol.

DD - Give me some time sir, I will surely find out some details about him.

Neil - Great, what about the work that I assigned you earlier? Any progress?

DD - Sir, I tried a lot but didn't find anything. (sighs)

Neil - No problem, we will discuss it tomorrow.

DD - Take care, sir.

Neil - You too.

Call ends.

Neil kissed Avni's hair and caressed her belly softly while smiling widely.

Neil - This is my perfect life. (smiles)

With that, he slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep while tightening his hold on Avni.

Morning time

Avneil were sleeping embraced within each other arms they were lost within the happy world of dreams and the comforting warmth radiating from their bodies making the air surrounding them more soothing. The dictionary of love describes this silent moment in its own special words, 'No matter how thirsty my soul was, how dark my paths were if the result of my struggle was surrendering myself within your benevolent touches then I can face every obstacle with a huge smile on my face.' Both have encountered their own struggles or reaching where they are now. Thought the arrow of love has already targeted its favorite victims but the spells of logic and overthinking do not want to leave their hypnotized mind. No worries, the tonic of love is slow but effective, they will definitely come to the point where their mind will proliferate the essence of love within them. 

Neil was the first one to wake up from his sleep and looked at the unfamiliar surroundings, for a few seconds he was clueless until he realized that they were in the hospital room and Avni was trapped within his arms. He smiles after seeing his wifey sleeping peacefully, he kept on looking at her with love until a nurse came inside, she saw their position and was about to speak something when Neil stopped her by keeping a finger on his lips. He looked at Avni once again and nodded negatively to the nurse, he didn't want to disturb his wifey's sleep as she was very stressed the previous day and deserved some extra sleep. The nurse sighed and asked him about his condition in a lower voice, he answered positively, and after analyzing his condition she went out leaving them alone in their cocoon.

 Neil again tightened his hold on Avni and did his favorite task i.e staring at his wifey. Everytime he stares at her sleepy form he discovers new things about her, today he realized that she has a heart of wax but her brain guards it in a strong barrier. She always tries to bury her sentiments within the depth of her mind but some situations force her to spill her hidden emotions in front of him. He still can't understand her completely but he is trying his best to connect with his wife's emotions and hopefully one day he would be able to understand her unspoken words and emotions. Though slowly but he will definitely reach the phase where he will be able to read her like an open book.

His thoughts were broken when he felt some moments. Avni stirs within her sleep and wraps her arms around his torso tightly making him smile. She opens her eyes in thin slits but closes them again trying to drift back into her peaceful sleep but the sun rays peeping through the curtains were making it difficult for her. Neil realized her struggles and positions his palm in front of her face allowing her to submerge into her world of dreams while caressing her hairs tenderly. 

Their moment was short-lived as Neil's mobile played the role of a troublemaker in their peaceful morning. He received the call without even checking the name of the caller as he didn't want to disturb Avni's sleep but she was already looking at him with sleepy eyes, he smiled at her and proceed the conversation with DD on the call, Avni rubbed her eyes trying to get rid of her sleepy form. She took a few seconds to recognize her surroundings before realizing her position, she was literally on top of Neil who was busy at the call. Her cheeks heated up while looking at their entangled bodies and how Neil was still holding her waist. She tried to get up but Neil being Neil pulled her closer ever so gently making her breath hitch. He wraps his one arm around her torso not allowing her to get up while he was talking at the phone. Avni tried to free herself from his tight grip but he didn't allow her to do so. 

After finishing his call, he looked at Avni who was already looking at him while a crimson shade was covering her cheek making her look like a tomato. 

Neil - Good morning wifey. (pecks her forehead) 

Avni - Good morning Neil. (blushes)

Neil chuckles seeing her reaction and kisses her cheek making her gasp in anticipation. 

Avni - Neil, leave me, we are not in our room anyone can come inside. What will they think about us? 

Neil - Well, the nurse has already seen us like this. (naughty voice)

Avni - What? Why you didn't wake me up? I would have shifted on the couch. 

Neil - Ouch! I'm offended, wifey. ( dramatically ) When you have your personalized couch with you (while pointing himself) then what's the requirement for the artificial one. (winks at her.) 

Avni's mouth forms a perfect 'o' while Neil chuckles at her reaction. 

Avni - How are you feeling now? (with guilt)

Neil caresses her cheeks gently and spoke in his husky voice. 

Neil - I'm feeling refresh after getting the best sleep with you locked within my arms. (smiles)

Avni was speechless but her red cheeks were the natural indicator of the impact Neil's words have on her. 

Avni - Neil let me go, I want to have a word with the doctor before completing your discharge formalities. 

Neil - Give me my reward first then I will leave you. 

Avni - Reward? (confuse)

Neil - You forgot your words wifey, very bad, don't worry I will remind you. The night I prepared dinner for us, you wanted to reward me with something but till now I haven't received anything. 

Avni thinks about their date night when she remembers her words and looks at Neil who is looking at her mischievously. 

Avni - I spoke those words accidentally and you know it very well. 

Neil - Either give me my kiss or else I won't leave you. (stubborn)

Avni - Neil you are more stubborn than a child. (pouts)

Neil - Well, even my child wants you to kiss me. Right baby? (caressing her belly)

Avni - Oh really! How do you know this? (raises her eyebrows)

Neil - It's an invisible bond between father and baby. 

Avni - Neil (pleading)

Neil - Ananya. (puppy face)

Avni sighs and looks at him while he looks at her intensely. She knows he won't allow her to get up if she didn't fulfill his demand so she leaned closer to him and pressed her soft petals over his cheek making him close his eyes and his hold eventually weakened around her waist. She took the opportunity and immediately got up and went outside the room leaving him in the pool of mushy feelings.

 I will try to give one more chapter for proper closure of the honeymoon phase and then the story will proceed towards Dayavanti's track. I hope you guys enjoyed avneil's honeymoon moments.
