Geno's POV a few days later

I sat in Outertale with Blue and Outer on either side of me. Blue has been trying to introduce me to new people and AUs. And today Ink randomly popped into my save screen and brought me here. Then left. So now the three of us are just hanging out. But then chaos broke out, violence and explosions easily heard. I saw the source quickly. A bunch of Sanses were fighting.

"Guess duty calls....Gosh they really enjoy annoying each other it seems."Blue sighs

"BLUE!"Dream yells

"Coming!"He says, leaping down

I look at Outer.

"This is normal?"I say

"Basically. They just bring their battles here and only Blue or Error clean up the mess. But it's best if we leave the area before-"He replies

A stray arrow whizzes past my head, just barely grazing it from behind.

"-that happens. It's not worth fighting or getting involved. Come on!"He says, leading me away

I quickly follow behind him. But then a Gaster Blaster blasts and we got seperated. A few blasts later I couldn't even see him and was hiding behind a rock just to not get shot at again. My phone rings and I answer.

"Hello?"I say

"Hey, Geno. It's Reaper's brother. We have a bit of a situation. Would you mind coming over?"A voice asks on the other end

BOOM!

"Sure thing....What happened?"I ask

Horror lands in front of me from a blast. He looks at me and grins. I wave and he waves back, then leaps over the rock to go back to battle. He knows I won't cause any issues. Plus he's Blue's friend too.

"Well, my brother was going to collect some souls but Science Sans' experiments literally blew up in his face and well....let's just say he looks as goofy as he acts. The other gods are coming after him, being opportunistic and impulsive as always. But he only wants to see you right now-where are you going, bro? Nonono, don't run off! Come back here! Aaand he's gone. *Sigh* He's coming for you, Geno."He says

"Agh!"I grunt, feeling something stab me

I look to see a stray knife had pierced my arm. I pull it out.

"You okay?!"He says

"Yeah....I'm not in my AU right now. I'm in Outertale and a fight broke out again. I'm trying to stay out of it but weapons and stuff keep flying off target."I say

"Oh! Well I'm sure he went to your save screen and will-"He begins

Then I hear a screaming wail cut him off and a voice weeping my name.

"Genoooo! Brooo!"The voice cries

"Brother! What's wrong? Oooh...."I hear him say as the voice weeps

"What?"I ask

"Where did you say you were, Geno?"He asks

"Outertale. Avoiding chaos."I reply

"Annd he's off again."He sighs

"What?"I say

I hear the violent chaos get louder but then suddenly go quiet. I peek out and see Reaper hovering above everyone with a scythe. He looks at me, then swung his scythe out.

"WHO HURT HIM?!"He asks, pointing to me

Everyone just ran away, fleeing through portals. He zipped over to me and that's when I realized what his bro meant. Reaper is in an oversized cloak and is as small as a child. And he looked very upset. I grab his sleeve-covered hand.

"Geno! You are in so much twubble! You have no idea what you did to me! You have some espwainin' to do!"He says

"What are you talking about, Reaper? Are you okay?"I say

He reaches into his cloak, pulling out my scarf.

"I tought someone twied to kill you! Why did you have it off?"He says

"Awww, I'm sorry, Reaper. It fell off when Ink took me out of nowhere. Come here."I say

He hugs me and cries, letting it all out. He then noticed my wounds. He frowns, then rubs something onto them and they got healed. He looks at me with a tired look now.

"Geno.................."He whines

"Yes?"I say

"D-Don't give me t-to them...."He whines

I knew who he meant.

"I won't, Reaper. I promise."I say

He smiles, dozing off in my arms.

"I'm guessing you have my brother?"Papyrus says on the phone

"Y-Yeah."I say, forgetting that I was even on a call

I hear him hang up. I scoop Reaper up and he snuggles into my scarf. I get pulled through a portal, finding his brother on the other side. I smile at him. He looks around and picks me up, putting me up high in a tree. I see other gods gather and look up after noticing me. I hold Reaper tighter.

"Hand him over, mortal!"Undyne shouts

I turn my back to them, leaning against the branch with Reaper cradled in my arms. He slowly opens his eyes, looking at me. He looks at my scarf wrapped around his neck and lifts it up, sniffing it with giggles. He looks up again. He cups my cheeks.

"Pretty face!"He says

He examines my face more.

"I want pretty face. You show it now."He says

"H-Huh?"I say

"Pwetty face! Pwetty face!"He chants

"I dunno what you're looking for from me."I say

He gives me pleading eyes.

"Your pwetty face!"He says

"I...I don't know what you mean about pretty."I say, glancing away

He wraps my scarf around my neck.

"You've nevah been told?"He asks

I shake my head.

"Well those people are bwind!"He says

I giggle at his cute little voice.

"There it is!"He says, then kisses my cheek

I look at him in surprise.

"Is he being flirty again?"His brother asks, coming up to join us

"Again?"I say

"He has a tendency when he isn't drained and down in the dumps."Papyrus says

"I'm just telling the twuth!"He says

"Whatever you say bro."Papyrus says

He crosses his arms with a pouty expression.

"Geno is pwetty!"He says

Papyrus chuckles.

"He's really fond of you, huh?"He says

"I guess so...."I say

Then my soul turns blue and I get pulled out of the tree and find myself surrounded by the other gods. Reaper glares at them all.

"Nobody touches my Geno."He says, gripping me tightly

His?

I couldn't help but smile. He was so adorable like this. But....Nobody listened to him. As Alphys was about to take me away for answers or tests in the name of science and KNOWLEDGE, the others were trying to pry Reaper off of me(He had a tighter grip on me than I did on him). A loud whistle was heard and everyone froze. Gaster stood with Papyrus beside him and shaking his head.

"I am ashamed of everyone's behavior here! You're supposed to be mature gods and treat them all with respect and dignity, not like animals like you are acting! You're lucky Asgore isn't here!"He says

"I'll be taking my brother and friend now."Papyrus says, plucking us from the bucnh

I grin, thankful. Then I realize that Reaper in my arms suddenly felt lighter. I look to see that I was holding his empty cloak. I didn't have to question where he went because then his head popped up under my scarf. I see that he was holding onto my shirt while under my jacket. Guess he snook under there. He smiles and now I see a tiny shirt and shorts on him that he must've worn under the cloak.

"Geno!"He cheers, nuzzling his head into my neck

"Come along, Geno."Gaster says, placing a hand against my back to lead me away

Papyrus took his brother's cloak to clean it. Gaster took us to his chambers and had me sit down. Reaper curled up in my arms, dozing off.

"My my, he has really become fond of you. He snuggles up to you as if you were his brother.....If you wouldn't mind, could I please check your code? I want to make sure that none of our world is meddling with it....Never know what they might try."He says

"S-Sure."I say

Reaper woke up while he was checking my code. Gaster froze but I could tell that Reaper was sleepy still. He gazes at me and smiles, reaching up and trying to grab my glitches.

"Geno..."He says sleepily

I know what he's looking for. I move the glitches away and he smiles.

"Perfect."He says, resting his head again and dozing back off

Gaster looks at me curiously.

"Was your eye always like that?"He asks

"Well, basically yes."I say

"Well it's quite....interesting. Does it hurt?"He says

"No, I've gotten used to it."I say with a shrug

"Well how about I fix that mistake? Fix you even so you're normal again?"He says

"N-Normal?"I say quietly

This has become my normal by now......Does he see me as a weird thing to be fixed? Reaper did say that he looks for flaws to fix.....

"Yes."He says

Reaper's eyes open and he glares at Gaster.

"You are not laying a hand on Geno! He is alwedy pwetty the way he is!"He snaps

He pulls himself up higher and cups my cheeks, examining my face.

"Yep, vewy pwetty."He says, then pulls me to the corner of the room by the scarf and curls up in my arms

Gaster continues checking my code from a distance. Once done, he scooped Reaper up and said that I could go back to my save screen. I nod and head out, only to find that Alphys and Undyne were waiting. They grabbed me and within minutes they were running tests on me. Apparently they were curious about how I'm immune to Reaper's deadly touch. Alphys was at least. Undyne wanted to see if they could discover what was so special about me to be spared from death. The tests were random from injections to testing chemicals and such. But eventually they let me go, dropping me back in the save screen.

That's when the side-effects must've kicked in because I suddenly felt dizzy and fell to the ground.

When I woke back up, I felt different and my mind was fuzzy. I look around at the dark atmosphere around me with it's constant pitch-black appearance. I feel chills go down my spine and just curled up, hiding my face in my scarf as if that would keep the darkness away. I don't know how much time passed where I just laid there like that, let alone time passing outside my AU.

"GENO!"A voice in the dark yelled suddenly

Without looking I shot a blaster in the direction of the yell. I look at the Gaster Blaster and hugged it. It's bright and isn't as dark as this place.

"Geno it's me! I'm back to normal!"The voice shouts

I look up, recognizing the voice now

"Weapa?"I call out

I get an eerie silence in return. I couldn't see him either. Was the dark playing tricks on me?

"Oh my stars....."I hear Reaper say

I look up to see him hovering above me, looking shocked. He came down and looks at my blaster.

"Were you expecting someone else?"He asks

"No...The dark is jus' scawy."I say

"And how did you.....? Don't tell me Science came here and failed that experiment again!"He says

"Huh?"I say

"Geno, you're tiny like I was."He says, scooping me up

"O-Oh...."I say

"How? Who did this to you?"He asks

"Alphys and Undyne experimented on me after I left Gaster...."I say

He frowns, opening a portal and carrying me through it. The atmosphere was much brighter here. He sits down with me in his lap. He rests a hand on my chin, once again trying to examine my face.

"What makes your eye so colorful now?"He asks

"Oh, it happens whenever I get upset or put on edge....It will turn white soon."I say

"How come?"He asks

"Cause I'm happy when I'm with you, Weapa."I say

"You're adorable, Geno."He says with a smile

I had no words to respond with. He chuckles.

"E-even when I'm fweaky like dis wit my eye?"I ask, pointing to the glitches

"Mhm and don't let anyone tell you otherwise."He says

Then he set me beside him, messing with his cloak. Then he picked me up and put me in his pouch-like hood. Then he quickly went through portals with his scythe. I saw multiple worlds come and go. Guess he came to visit me during a shift. At some points he would let me wander a bit but I think he forgot I was with him after a while.

"Bro! I can't find Geno! I just had him! Have you seen him anywhere?"Reaper asks in a panic, turning and moving quickly

I look at Papyrus from my spot in his hood-pouch. He looks at me in surprise then smirks. I wave to him and he waves back. He calmed down a bit and continued the shift with his brother beside him. I doze off in his hood. After a short while I guess he forgot. Reaper reaches back and lifts his hood up, causing me to slip further in his cloak. I couldn't see anything but held onto his shoulders.

"Weapa!"I yelp

He jolts, stiffening. I was hanging at his lower back, barely holding his shoulders. I pull myslef back up, resting my head on his shoulder and arms wrapped around his neck.

"Geno?"He says

"Yeah...?"I ask

"I can feel your soul..."He says

"O-Oh! I u-umm..."I say

"I love it.~"He coos

He pulls me out and cradles me in one arm, continuing to work with the other. That certainly is an interesting sight for other victims. Death with a scythe in one hand and what would appear to be a child in the other. Soon enough he was able to take a break, which he used to go after Undyne and Alphys for causing trouble. Alphys fixed the issue on the spot. Next thing I knew he was holding me in his arms again. He looks at me and smirks.

"Hello, beautiful.~"He says

My face burns and I look away, hiding my face in my scarf. We returned to the save screen to properly hang out. Everything seemed to go back to normal. Well, as normal as it can be given the circumstances. But the more Reaper visits lately, the more goofy or flirty he gets. I just laugh or brush it off since he doesn't make it clear that it's serious. He's just being the goofy idiot that others know him for. He does it so much that I can't tell what's serious or what's jokes.....Besides talking about his day(s). That's the thing he seems honest or at least serious about, but it's mostly complaints. And he keeps trying to steal my scarf or see beneath the glitches over my eye. Whenever he gets the scarf or sees my entire face he looks so happy. But he doesn't push my boundaries. So if I don't want to show it, he doesn't make me.

And he was serious about liking my soulbeat. His brother literally has to get me for help when Reaper is upset about something and then just having Reaper listen to my soul seems to calm him down. Reaper is a true mystery.

I've been able to brighten up my save screen home more. I learned how to break through the code of my world and looks at different AUs as if watching a TV. Plus I often have friends over or go to visit them. And it seems that Reaper's relatives visit often to try to get to know me....or at least that's what they claim. I'm hardly alone anymore and I like that feeling. Life seems good.
