Reaper's POV hours later

I was searching through AUs, trying to hunt Slash down when I got this horrible feeling. I check my list and see Geno's name disappear and get replaced by Gabriel. Then my phone rang. I quickly answer.

"Geno?!"I say

"Hello, sir. This is the security manager at the hospital. I'm speaking to Reaper, correct?"A voice says

"Yes."I say

"We have someone you'd like to see."They say

"Geno?"I say, hopeful

"No. I'm sorry to tell you this but an intruder got in and took out my staff and waited for you to leave. Geno got bludgeoned to what I can assume as death and coded away the evidence. I set the hospital into a lockdown and have the intruder trapped right now. He says his name is Slash-"They say

"I'll be right over."I say

I quickly come back to the hospital to find him trapped in a room. I wanted to kill him so badly but also wanted to get an explanation. He looks at me through the glass and grins. I teleport into the room.

"Before you start snapping and putting the blame on me, let me answer questions you will demand to get answered. He is not dead. I simply repurposed his code to fix the mistake of his existence. His name is now Gabriel and living in another AU as a background character that won't get noticed as much. I used the hammer to knock him out and was rushed by the alarms. I am not the source of the problem, your father is. If you want to know why I did all this, maybe you should ask the godly Gaster why he hated Geno so much that he forced me to sign a contract to serve him or perish and the main task being to get rid of all Genos."He says, showing a contract

I was even more pissed now. I knew that he was up to no good! He was just having this twerp do his dirty work. But I was so relieved to know that Geno is alive.

I quickly teleport to the location based on the list and find myself inside a cafe. I look around curiously and see Geno aka Gabriel walking around. Or who I assume to be him. I mean, he is the only one covering his eyes. And he was coming my way.

"Geno? Is that you?"I say

He paused, looking in my direction. He smiles and starts coming towards me quicker.

"Rea-!"He begins

"Gabriel! There you are! I've been looking for you everywehere! Let's talk!"A stranger says, swiftly taking him away

This guy looks at me with a grin.

My hands ball into fists. I turn around to follow but they were already gone. I search the place but they were gone. They probably teleported. But now it is certain that the person I saw was Geno. And I'm going to find him. After all, nobody can escape death.

I kept finding him again but whenever we got close a random person would take him away to "talk". Yet everytime he'd come back or be found again, I noticed more wounds on him. Newer, fresher wounds. Then I noticed a crack on the top of his skull.

"Okay, that's it!"I say as I see another stranger coming to steal Geno again

I leap, forward, grabbing him and zipping away before the stranger could get him.

"W-What the? What's going on?"Geno exclaims as I scoop him up in my arms

"I got you, Geno. Or should I say Gabriel?"I say

"Eaeprr? Ererap? Rereap! Ugh!"He says, smacking the back of his head and then yelping in pain

"Don't hit yourself!"I say, snapping my fingers

His wrists get bound by a ribbon together to prevent him from hurting himself.

"Reaper!"He exclaims, trying to tear free

"I don't want to see you hurting yourself."I say

"But that's the only way that I know to fix myself right now! He jumbled my code and causes my speech to scramble rladmyno. Ugh! Agani!"He says, squirming in my arms

I found it quite simple to unscramble the words in his twisted speech but frowned at the fact that he has to deal with this. And he was clearly in pain. I find a hidden staircase and set us down on it, untying his wrists. He shifts beside me and sighs.

"I can understand you, Geno. Keep talking. Tell me what happened."I tell him

He smiles, then starts talking. He'd get off topic or voice get scrambled, but I didn't care. I was glad that he was alive and appreciating every moment. But I will admit that I zoned out watching him instead of listening.

I saw redness form under the fabric wrapped over his eyes. I noticed that it covered heavily on his right eye in comparison to the rest of his skull. That caught my attention. Could he be wounded worse? From the hammer?

"Reaper? You've gone quiet. Are you still here?"He asks

His voice sounded distant. I summon his soul to check it.

"R-Reaper?"He stutters

I gently cup it in my hands, checking its stability. He grabs my wrist tightly. I look at him to see his face was a bright red.

"Geno?"I say

"Why are you touching my soul?"He asks

"To make sure it's stable. The hospital called and told me that Slash attacked. They have him in their custody now. I thought you were dead so I want to make sure you're ok. Did I hurt you?"I reply

"N-No...I was just alarmed when I felt it.....Only Slash has messed with my soul....."He says

"Are you okay? Where did he hurt you?" I ask, holding both his hands worriedly

"Y-Yeah....I t-think so..."He says, squeezing my hands

"Geno, be honest with me."I say

He leans on me.

"I am being honest. I dunno why or how....But I always fele btteer hwit you."He says

If those words unscramble to what I think it does, I've never been happier.

"Where did he hurt you, Geno?"I ask

He is silent.

"Tell me please."I say

He gets up and runs down the stairs into the outdoors. I look behind me to see a stranger watching at the top. They run off once seeing me. I went after Geno and see that he was holding his chest as if trying to compose himself again. Then he starts untying the fabrics around his skull. What I could see already got me angry.

"H-He only aimed for my head......I-Is it bad?"He asks

His skull was cracked open wide. I couldn't even tell where his eye was before.

This is Gaster's fault.

I scoop him up quickly into my arms and he squeaks in surprise. I carry him through a portal back home and he completely changed. His wounds grew severe and he looked just like he did in the hospital....just with the giant hole in his skull. I set his scarf on a table and laid him in a bed. I quickly start bandaging him up.

I'm not losing him.

"Reaper? Is everything okay?"He asks

I nod.

"Y-Yeah, everything's fine. This is.....a vacant room that connects to mine. I'm going to go get help and update everyone on what happened. If you need anything, I'll be here for you. Just DO NOT let my father lay a finger on you!"I tell him

He looks at me and nods.

I turn to leave.

"Wait!"He exclaims

Within seconds I was beside him and asking questions. He shook his head to each question. I was worried and confused. What was wrong then?

"Then what's wrong, Geno?"I ask

He looks to the side.

"Last time you left.....Trouble came.....And I haven't seen you for a while before this whole mess....So...Maybe....."He says

"What do you want?"I ask

He looks down and points to me while gripping the blankets tightly.

This is the best day of my life!

"Oooo, Geno!~"I say teasingly, watching his wounds already heal more.

"SHUT UP! I just....missed you...a lot....."He says

I chuckle, taking my cloak off. I slip under him and rest against the pillows. He rests his head on my chest, seeming relaxed now. I saw the most beautiful thing in the world too:Him resting with a smile peacefully.

I don't care what my dad says, I am in love with him and my mind or soul cannot be changed. He is my precious little Geno, the rarest and most valuable flower in the garden that is the multiverse. I hear a noise and look up, seeing Destinio peeking in. I glare at him. He runs off.

Yep. He's my rare flower but nobody else is going to take him from me.

Geno's POV days later

I have been recovering with Reaper near. He hasn't let me return to the save screen until I am fully recovered. I like his company, though he has hardly left my side regardless of the situation. He has been extremely protective of me and hasn't let Gaster near me, scared that he might do something to me. Gaster has tried to keep Reaper distant by banning him from seeing me for the next week.

But that doesn't seem to stop him. One night a cat came in through the window and curled up beside me. A dog quickly came in through a door afterwards, curling up beside me. I have seen this happen before, especially when the goddess of animals come to visit. I kiss the dog on the head, petting them both as I begin to doze off. I was getting into a good dream when I felt more weight on me and two hands on my chest.

"Ha! He kissed me goodnight instead of you!"I hear Reaper say

"Yeah well I've snuggled him more than you! And not even he knows!"Another voice says

Creepy...

"Creep! He's mine, not yours!"He says

What?

I open my eyes and see Reaper snuggling with a grin.

"Hello, sweetheart.~"He says with a wink

"Why am I not surprised that you snook in?"I chuckle

"Hey, Geno.~ Sorry to disturb you. You may go back to sleep."He tells me

I see a green hand on my chest. I see Destinio in the place that the cat was. My body stiffened up, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

"Can you..........go?"I say hesitantly

He gets shoved out of bed by Reaper as soon as those words left my mouth. Reaper smiles and I doze back off.

Weeks later I had recovered enough to stand and walk but only for short periods of time. My code is still fixing itself. Cards and messages have been dropping through portals lately from the other mes that I was trapped with as well as the Reapers or their families. The messages ranged from get well soon's, thank you's, and let's chat's. I started reading through them and they were all nice, especially the ones from the kids. One caught my eye eventually. It was from the little boy Goth that I met.

"Dear Alternate Mama Geno,

Hello! I hope you are feeling better! I just want to thank you for saving my Mama and sister! They came home mostly unharmed thanks to you and I got to meet my little sister! I just hope your Reaper isn't too mad that my dad kissed you! You're one of the good Genos, that's for sure! We all hope you are doing well, you deserve happiness and a bright future after what you did!(Also my dad is hunting that jerk down so everyone is safe.) Write back if you wish, we'd, well I'D love to hear any good news or good that has come for you! With this letter is a picture of my little sister Shino since we thought it was fair that you get to see the girl you protected! I wish you the best and maybe an answer from you! Love you and thankful for all you do!

With it was an adorable picture of a baby girl cradled in the arms between her new brother Goth and Raven, who were either looking at her lovingly or looking at the picture taker with a big smile. Seeing this and hearing the good news made me smile, knowing what could've gone wrong. It just made what Slash put me through worth it. I'll be sure to write back to him.

"What's all this, Geno?"Reaper asks, placing a hand on mine

I glance away, feeling my face burn. He has been extra flirty lately and the past events have caused some interesting yet confusing feelings to develop towards him. But he'd just tease me if I told him. We're just friends in his eyes as far as I know and he just likes to flirt or tease. It's just who he is.....But he makes me feel special...I shake my head, snapping out of my thoughts.

"A bunch of cards from those other versions of us and their families. They're all very sweet."I say

He glances at each card, then at the one I had just read.

"He kissed you?!"He exclaims

"Of course he did. He thought I was his husband."I say

"We're married in other worlds?"He says

"Y-Yeah.....With kids....Good kids...."I say

He skims the cards.

"These talk about your sacrifice....Why did you give yourself up to Slash for all of them?"He asks

"I had less to lose in comparison to all of them....I was not at much risk as they were..."I say

"What are you talking about? You were just as important as them! You should've never been put in that position!"He says

"Well I didn't have a soul forming in my belly like some of them did and I wasn't going to risk those lives too. I don't regret it, Reaper. I would've rathered be in that position than one of them. Like this girl Shino was kept safe."I say. showing the picture

He is silent.

"They're adorable."He comments

I nod, unsure of what else to say.

"Mama Geno huh?~"He says with a teasing tone

"Oh shut it. I have cards here from kids that mention a Mama Reaper."I say

His face burns up.

"Who's the Papa in those?"He dares to ask

I smirk, glancing at him. His face burned brighter. No words had to be said.

"Y-You..?"He guesses

I nod.

He looks at me in shock. I gather up th cards and tuck them away. He wraps his arms around my waist from behind. I look at him and he has a big grin on his face.

"Reaper? What are you-?"I begin

"What a dream.~"He says softly

"W-What?"I say

He doesn't speak.

"Reaper? What was that supposed to mean?"I ask

He backs off, releasing me.

"N-Nothing...."He says, then leaves before I could say anything

What just happened?
