Geno's POV weeks later

"Love! Love wake up!"A voice calls

I open my eyes, finding myself walking down a smoothly paved street. I see a snake-like tail slithering ahead of me. I glance up and groan. It wasn't a dream.....I'm still here....

"You were sssssleepwalking, Love. I didn't want you to trip or hurt yoursssself. You have to ssssstay awake and focusssed for me, remember?"A voice calls my attention

"Whatever you say, your eeliness."I say to the prince ahead of me

"Oh come on, you don't have to be formal."He says

"Nope. Staying formal."I say

"Oh come on, we've been together for weeksss and I love you. You'll ssssssee when we reach the Great One that we're meant to be. Perhapssss then we'll have ssssssome ssssspecial fun."He says with a wink

I felt absolutely disgusted at his suggestion and implication.

"I already have a lover and you really showed love by giving me this scar."I say with sarcasm

"You'll warm up to it."He says smugly

"I'd rather not you sadistic asshole."I mutter

I want to get back to Reaper...He was flirty but never acted like this ass.

Then it was as if my hearing opened up and I suddenly heard the cheers, whooping, and mayhem of the crowds that watched us pass. This jerk, Elliot, put on a show waving or blowing kisses with a grin. I simply kept walking without looking back.

I saw a temple up ahead and my pace quickened. I'd do anything to get away from him. I pushed the doors open, running in quickly. I bumped into a snake lady who honestly looked like Medusa and she grabs me gently.

"Woah woah woah, slow down! What's wrong, dear?"She asks

"I was forced to come here by Elliot and he won't let me go! He keeps hurting me! I just want to go home but he is crazy with fantasies! I don't want him to hurt me anymore...."I tell her

"Honey? Shut the temple door and have the guards lock it! Don't worry dear, he won't hurt you anymore."She says

I suddenly felt a horrible pain in my soul before I could respond. I found my consciousness slipping away as everything turned darker and didn't even realize I was falling until I hit the ground, out cold.

"Geno...."I hear a voice call out

It was a faint voice, but echoing

Huh....?

"Geno my precious hibiscus flower! Where are you?"I hear it ask

Reaper.....? Is he close...? Or is this another trick? NO! Only he calls me that! It has to be him!

"Geno, I'll find you I promise! Just give me a sign that you're out there!"Reaper's voice pleas

How am I supposed to do that?

Then I woke up, finding my soul hovering out of my chest and glowing brightly.

"There you are..."I hear his echoed voice say

I look around but didn't see him anywhere. Just an empty bedroom. I almost laughed at myself, sure that I was going crazy or just imagining things since I desired them so badly. I wanted to be with Reaper so badly. By now I'm sure that I'm more than late for that quality time with him.

The lady enters and smiles at me, her snakes for hair hissing with grins as well.

"I'm Madelina, often called The All Seeing One. My husband is the Great One. He can see if things are meant to be or will end good or bad. I can see someone's true intentions and turn them to stone if they dare try to decieve me or another. Elliot always drags people here for a claimed soulmate search, but I see his true intentions to torture them without being disturbed. I am so sorry you got pulled along as another victim. Who are you, exactly? How did you get here?"She explains

I told who I was and my situation. She could see my intentions and sighs, nodding. She had me stay here for my safety for the next few days, soon becoming weeks. And given my soul's condition, it was probably best along with what was done to me by that Zene god a month ago. I got used to it and we got to know each other well. Even her husband and I got along.

But I still missed Reaper. Sometimes I could almost hear him, though half the time it's when I'm trying to sleep.

Then one day Madelina advised me to go into the marketplace and "check out the scenery" as she put it. When I asked why so suddenly, she only giggled and told me the reason will stick out like a sore thumb when I get there.

"Whatever you say, Madel."I sigh, heading out of the temple after covering myself properly

I didn't take much else since I wasn't going to buy anything. I wandered around, keeping my face covered up to my eyes and listened to strangers talking. So many conversations. Buying, selling, haggling, arguing, or just small talk, all of it mixed into one muffled mess as dozens of people passed me without a second glance. All of them blended in, but then one figure stook out.

They wore shades of grey, black, and white from head to toe, looking like soft cloths with only a satchel to pop out among the darkness. They had a bird beak-like mask with an eye-hole on each side. They looked similar to a plague doctor for the Bubonic Plague. I chuckled at how much they stuck out like a sore thumb. That doesn't fit this area timewise or culturally. But that raised my hopes of it being someone not from this world. Maybe it's Reaper in disguise. I feel my soul skip beats at the thought. It seemed that I caught this person's attention as well.

"Geno....? Please let that be Geno...."I could hear Reaper say

It sounded louder so he was closer. I glance around and keep walking, trying to act normal. I could hear and see the dark-clothed bird guy following me and was not subtle about it at all. I kept going, trying to get to a less crowded area.

"Come on! Just let me get a little closer! Let me see that face and then I'll know it's my adorable Geno! Why walk so fast?"I hear Reaper whine

There were less people around when I reached a fountain and sat beside it. I glance around and the same bird guy was still near, watching me. A crow lands on my shoulder and chirps happily.

"I'm back Gen! I got info from my flock! Sans has been traveling around and trying to keep a low profile to find you! You may see him in clothes resembling a bird!"The crow chirps

I see the bird guy wiggle, as if restraining themselves from doing something. They seemed excited.

"Low profile huh?"I say

"Yep! He doesn't want to attract attention that could keep him from getting to you! He loves you very much!"The crow replies, then tells in deep detail

I chuckle, feeling my face burn a bit.

"I'll go see if I could get more info from them!"He says, soaring off

I glance at the bird guy and they perked up at the attention. They glance around to see if my gaze was on anyone else but seemed happy when seeing nobody else around them for me to be looking at. I lower the fabrics to reveal my face.

"Reaper you're such a dork..."I say

The bird guy that I believe to be Reaper seemed to tense up for a moment at being caught, then two black wings sprouted from their back, ripping through the clothes they wore and flapping excitedly. I shake my head, sitting at the fountain again and glancing around to see that we were alone. I glance back over and he is already beside me taking his mask off.

"How did you know it was me?"He asks

"You stuck out like a sore thumb, wearing an outfit ahead of this area's time and didn't hide the fact that you were following me. Plus the crow only confirmed what you'd be wearing."I say

Other gods wouldn't go so far to disguise themselves.

I glance up at him and carefully examine his face.

"Also every detail about you matches so it's not someone pretending to be you."I say

He shakily extends his hand, resting it on my cheek.

"Who gave you that scar?"He asks, anger leaking into his voice

"Nobody of importance."I say

His gaze and hand trailed down my body, seeming to stop at my stomach area. His hand carefully felt around it without going under my clothes, as if he was looking for something.

"Reaper, is something wrong? It's just my spine where you are feeling. Nothing's there."I say

"So...That Zene guy didn't.....touch you? Use you?"He asks softly

I realize what he means.

"No! I never let that jerk near me! Reaper, you of all people should know that I don't let jerks near me, especially like that!"I say

"Then how did he catch you in the first place?"He asks

I bow my head.

"Stupid love gods told them who I love so that asshole disguised himself as you....It wasn't until he got too close that I realized it wasn't you. No wings, no nicknames, no scythe, and they got your eyes wrong. You didn't really think that I'd let them do those things, did you?"I tell him, glancing up at him

"So you do like the nicknames!"He cheers

"Never said I didn't....They're very sweet...But you didn't think I'd do that stuff with others, did you?"I say

"How did you wind up here?"He asks, dodging the question

I frown, catching onto that. Does he not trust me? What could've broken that trust?

"After I blasted them a few times they got angry. Zene called me wild and more feisty than any animal he knew, threw some bolts at me and cursed me. Then they threw me in a bag and sent me off with a messenger on a chariot. I got dumped in a random village where another jerk caught me, dragging me here until the Empress here split us up. Thank goodness for that...."I say, not daring to look at him

"Oh Genoooo, where did you run off to now? You can't hide from me for long.~"I hear Fredro call out

"Darling, where did you run off to? Jusssst wait until I have you in my sssssights! Then the fun will begin!"Elliot hisses

"Guards, go find Geno and his lover. They should've found each other by now. Bring them back here before trouble comes for them. I also want to see this lover's true intentions."Madelina is faintly heard saying

"You....rejected them all? Went through all that and still stick with me?"He asks

I look up at him and see his shock.

"What did you expect me to do? You're my beloved boyfriend Reaper, I'd never turn my back on you. And I'd probably be turned to stone by now if that wasn't the truth. The Empress can see the true intentions of a person and turns them to stone if they are being deceptive."I say

He smiles, pulling me close in a hug. He started sprinkling kisses all over my face. My face started burning and soul kept skipping beats.

"Sorry, I just had to be sure you weren't under a trance or something my precious hibiscus flower! I never know what Fredro may try or those other gods. Good to see that you're still yourself.~"He says

He hugs me close and I see tears in his eyes.

"I couldn't lose you, Geno. Not to him or anyone!"He says

"So since you know about Zene I'm guessing you saw him?"I say

"Mhm, Peaco is back with Gades and I taught those gods a lesson. I knew to come here since your soul shined and pinged a tune a few days ago that I recognized as yours. I have tendencies to listen very closely to soulbeats, as ironic as that may sound with being a god of death."He assures me

That's the sign he meant....That's why he said there you are! My soul gave the sign!

I hear the clinks of armor and multiple footsteps before I could speak. I feel Reaper tighten his grip on me. I glance over to see a pair of guards approaching.

"Both of you, please come with us to the Empress."One guard says

"This is the one you were looking for Geno?"The other asks

I nod, feeling Reaper's grip loosen. I slip my hand down, gently intertwining mine with his.

"We spotted some troublemakers nearby so we should get back to the Empress."They say, taking my other hand and pulling me along

"I'm sure you heard the Empress giving us orders."One comments

"I saw the temple of the Empress when I landed here. It's a good distance away so I doubt Geno could hear anything from there."Reaper comments with a chuckle

The two guards look at each other and snicker.

"Don't underestimate him, mister. His hearing is superb."One says

"Or purrrfect, you may say."The other jokes

Then they clear their throats, getting serious again and leading us away. We walk behind them and another pair of guards came up behind us. I could feel Reaper watching me. I glance at him and he is staring at me with a mesmerized look in his gaze.

"Did your eyes really look like this before the genocide?"He whispers

"Not exactly....Is it bad?"I reply

He shakes his head.

"You're always beautiful to me."He says

I smile at him, my soul feeling better when he said that.

"How has your soul been, Geno? Any episodes recently?"A guard behind me asks

"I'm not jinxing anything with a response."I say

"Good point and choice."The guard says

We arrive at the temple and the gates shut behind us. The distant voices of Elliot grew fainter until he could not be heard, Fredro sounded closer. I sigh with relief, feeling free. But then.....

CLANG!

"GENO! I'm here to free you! I hope you know the truth now!"Fredro yells

I see him at the gate, shaking the bars and trying to pry them apart. Reaper pulls me closer and glares daggers at him. Then the Emperor, Medio, passes us, his gaze locked on Fredro.

"You both go in, Geno. I'll handle him."He says

Reaper begins to follow him to the gate but Medio stops him.

"That goes for you as well. I got this handled."He says

The guards pull Reaper back over and I glance over at Reaper. Reaper looks confused but also annoyed that he was sent away.

"That guy is looking to get assasinated by Fredro."He mumbles quietly to me

"He's a demigod, Reaper. I've seen how he handles gods and he can surely handle Fredro if he says he can."I say

I take one last glance at the emperor, just in time to see him toss his crown aside and transform into a giant snake. Then the temple doors shut.

"So where's this Empress?"He asks

"She is usually in the center garden...."I say

"She's waiting there for you both."A guard confirms

I lead Reaper down some stairs and slide a door open to a garden in the center of the courtyard where a little pond layed still with flowers growing in various shapes or types. A large oak tree grew at the center of the garden, Madelina sitting on the roots of it with her snakes resting on her shoulders. She heard me shut the door and looks over, her reptilian companions hissing and looking at me eagerly.

"Ah, Geno! You've returned safely! Lovely! I'm guessing this is the special someone you were looking for?"She says

"Mhm, this is Reaper."I say

She eyes him very carefully.

"Huh, so he's the god of death? For some reason I was expecting someone more intimidating. No matter, it won't change my plans. Keep your hood up until I finish getting answers from him."She says

"O-Okay..."I say

"Go check on the lilacs and tulips for me please. Reaper, come and let's talk."She says

I go over to the flowers and pick up a watering can, watering the flowers that required the nutrition. I noticed a dip in the flowerbed and glance over, seeing Elliot crawling on his back on the ground but frozen in stone with a terrified look on his face. I guess Madel had spoken to him and he was deceptive. I glance over at Reaper and Madel to see her eyes were glowing a bright yellow, her snakes swaying slowly, indicating that she was checking Reaper's soul for his true intentions and honesty. I glance away, tuning their conversation out since it's private and predictable with the questions she usually asks. Medio enters the garden and smiles at me, his legs still morphing out of a snake tail. I smile back at him and he sits beside me.

"I beat Fredro around a bit but then your lover's brother showed up, taking that jerk away."He says

"I see. Alright."I say with a shrug

"But he said that he will be back and knowing other gods, he will follow up with that statement. Try to be careful since there's no telling where he will pounce out from."He says

"That's easier said than done."I say

He glances at Elliot.

"Huh, I was wondering when she'd just finish him off. Eh, one less pain in the ass. How is your soul?"He asks

"Stable for now and has been pretty stable so far. But there's still no telling when it will go unstable again."I say

He softly pats me on the head.

"I am so sorry you have to deal with that, Geno. I hope this all ends good for you, no, I'm sure it will. You just have to take it easy until a solution shows itself."He tells me, trying to get me to relax

I let out some soft purrs at his gentle touch.

"Thank you..."I say

He takes his hand away and we both lay in the grass by the flowerbeds.

"I've heard of the things that Zene does to curse mortals. He is very lazy and the curses often have loopholes. I'm sure there's a way to solve yours."He says

I nod, that news putting me at ease. He glances over at his wife still investigating Reaper.

"So, what do you think his outcome will be? He seems to be one with a lot of hubris. And many with hubris have become statues under her gaze thinking they could fool her."He says

"I trust him so as long as he doesn't get super defensive at her questions, I think he will pass."I say

I see Reaper's boots start turning to stone. I felt my soul sink and my breath hitch. Dammit Reaper! Why do you have to prove me wrong?

"I wouldn't be too sure about that."He sighs

"Care to try again before you run out of time? Hmm?"Madel says

"Okay okay! I have thought of it but haven't planned it! It's too soon! And it's none of your business even if I did!"Reaper snaps

Yep, he is getting defensive.

I watch the boots turn back to normal from stone.

"I've never seen that before. What do you think he did?"He asks

"Whatever he did it worked."I say with a shrug

"Honey? Is everything okay over there?"He asks

"Yep, he just had to elaborate a bit more."She shouts back

"Can Geno lower his hood yet?"He asks

Then I caught a scent of something different. It was a different, fresh fabric. I got up, curiously going to investigate. I go down the hall to find some girls knitting with balls of yarn. The yarn had the new scent and my gaze seemed to zone in on it.

"Honey! The curses urges took over again!"I could hear him shout

"What is this curse?"Reaper asks

"We'll explain but you'll see it soon. I didn't let him reveal it in case you were being deceptive and wrong for him to trust. You passed though."She says

My ears twitch and I couldn't hear them anymore.

"May I join you?"I ask

They nod and give me a pair of red balls of yarn.

I start making a new red scarf while playing with the other ball of yarn by bouncing it on my foot. One of them tugged my hood off and I let them do so, hearing them coo when they did so and smiling.

"How is that a curse exactly?"One asks

"Every few weeks it increases with another trait of a cat. Zene is trying to copy Athena's trick with Arachne."I say

"Well I'd gladly adopt you if you were a cat."They each say

Right when they said that, I felt some tingling on my arms. I glance down the sleeves to see fur growing off of my arms. Then it felt like I was sitting on something. I shift uncomfortably and then feel something slip out.

"Great...It's starting to speed up with two traits at once."I say, not even having to look behind me to know

They only cooed even more, awwing and stuff. I just shake my head and continue making the scarf. Right when I finished, I wrapped it around my neck instead and just played with the other ball of yarn by tossing it to and fro in my hands. Then I felt the fuzzy feeling spread down my body, stopping at my waist. I look down, getting greeted by a fluffy body of fur under my clothes.

Did my explanation speed the curse up or something?

"Zene is speedrunning curses again."One of them groan when seeing my conditions

That makes more sense.

I hear a gasp and look to the doorway to see Reaper standing there, his jaw hanging open. His eyes were small dots, then grew to huge ovals. I recognized that as a clue to him about to yell so I cover my ears quickly, pulling them down against my head. I didn't hear anything though, just felt two arms wrap around me, lifting me up. I glance up to see him cradling me in his arms, his eye-lights the shape of hearts.

"Geno...You're adorable."He says softly

My face burns and I nuzzle my head against him.

"Ooh, your tail is so soft wrapping around me."He says

I nuzzle my head again and he kisses me on the head. I let out an audible purr and see his face light up.

He summons my soul and looked shocked at the sight of it. Then it started shaking and splitting apart, glitching and as a strong pain. I began shaking in pain and I could see the alarm on his face. He quickly zips down the hall and I cling to him. He throws me down on a bed and grabs my soul, looking at me worriedly. He softly rubs my soul and I felt electric shocks go down my body. He kisses me and continues feeling my soul. The pain gradually went away, feeling my soul calm down but could only see Reaper's dazzling eyes. He finally pulls away from the kiss and looks at my soul again.

"....Why won't your soul stay together? Why does it do that?"He asks

"Well, the shard is mine but the rest is stuff that Fredro created. He went beyond his power restrictions so that part isn't even mine or supposed to exist. It keeps glitching and trying to break apart as a result. It's not pleasent at all."I say

He frowns.

"Well, that only doubles how severe I'm going to wreck Fredro when we get back."He says

He seems to look at my soul, then leans closer. He kisses my soul and I let out a squeal. My fur stood on end. But it didn't hurt....Instead of the need to pull away, I cuddled closer to him, covering my mouth from the embarrassing sound. He smirks.

"Cute. Never got to hold a soul like this before....Yet I seem to be a quick learner.~ And I'll be sure to make you feel good in any way I can.~"He says

I sigh happily. We fell into a peaceful silence with his arms holding me gently. It was nice alone time. No words needed to be said. Moments like these made it feel like the whole world fell away with all of its problems, leaving just us. And us is all I need or want right now.

He pulls the blankets over us and lays us both down gently, humming a soft tune that lulls me to sleep.

"I....love you, Reaper...."I say sleepily

He kisses me on the head gently.

But when I woke up, I was nowhere near Reaper. I was in a glass-like box. I tried using any attack I could but it didn't free me. Then I see Fredro enter. I back into the corner as far as I could go, my soul glitching and glowing in my chest. I wanted NOTHING to do with him but my soul's condition makes me very vulnerable.

"I'm done playing nice with you, mortal. I will have you as I deserve and as a punishment to Sans for getting in Gaster's way and misbehaving. Besides, this means that I will finally get to see what makes a mortal soul tick. Push the limits of my power."He says

"I already have been cursed by the god Zene and have this unstable soul because of you! Stay away from me! I don't need anything else!"I snap

"Then love me Geno. For I will treat you better than any other god. You won't have to be in pain anymore and won't get punished with Sans. He has nothing attractive about him that others can't give you. That I can't give you with my power. You'll be free with a simple set of three words."He says

I look away, disgusted and everything in me wanting to deny his offer. My soul is with Reaper. But if I deny it, I fear what he may do to me...or if I'd ever get back to Reaper.

"I don't like that hesitation. I will find a way to punish him regardless of your response. Stop protecting him and answer me!"He says

I want to stay loyal...but will I be safe?

An entire wall caved in and dust filled the air, blinding my sight through the box. I saw feathers and claws peak out of the dust cloud for split seconds, then a scythe and a few flashes of light. Then everything settled with two Reaperling panthers holding Fredro down and Reaper hovered there, flapping his wings with his scythe in hand and sockets empty. I could tell he was angry. I was relieved that I didn't have to make that choice.

"Reaper!"I exclaim

He looks over at me and smiles, approaching the barrier between us.

"I'm getting you out of there, Geno."He says

I smile at him and he seems to examine my condition.

"He hasn't done anything, has he?"He says

I shake my head.

"Not yet.."I say

He lifts his scythe up and I back up from the barrier.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. That area is the only thing keeping his soul together."Fredro says

"Well then undo the mess you caused! Make his soul stable again!"Reaper says

"That kind of fortune comes with a price, Death. What could possibly convince me when I'm pleased with him staying in there?"Fredro says

Reaper was actually considering it. I could see that he was brainstorming with a concerned look in his eyes. I could see Fredro grin, Reaper falling right into the trap. I feared what he may do to Reaper.

"Reaper! Don't listen to him! He isn't going to keep his word! He is going to hurt-!"I begin, pounding on the barrier in hopes of getting free to hold him close

As if that would keep him safe.

"Silence you. We'll negotiate in private now."Fredro says, snapping his fingers

The box suddenly glowed and I found myself in the middle of a forest, the box still trapping me inside it. I pace back and forth nervously. Then I felt a strong relief in my soul. I check it to see that only the shard was left, beating and returning to a stable condition. The walls of the box unfolded and faded away.

Reaper, what did you do?!

I get as far as I could from that spot. Then I hear wings flapping. I glance up to see Reaper flying down to me with his arms stretched out.

"No need to run, Geno. I handled it. You're safe now."He says with the calmest voice ever

I look down, trying to keep myself from crying as different emotions washed over me. I felt a hand on my cheek and he gently lifts my head to look at him.

"My precious flower, what's wrong?"He asks

"I don't know if I should punch you or kiss you!"I snap, breaking into tears

"Kiss please..."He says, wiping my tears

"You scared me, Reaper! He wanted to punish you, hurt you! He was only using me to do so! No matter what you said he would've twisted it around to please his goals! If he can do what he did to my soul, I never want to see what he may do to you! How the hell are you so calm?"I tell him

He just gazes at me with a small smile.

"We don't have to worry about my deadly touch anymore.~"He says

"Don't tell me you gave him those powers! He's going to kill you! Reaper, why are you like this?"I snap

He pulls me closer with his arms wrapped around me.

"Cause love takes sacrifice. And I love you so I'd gladly do what I must to keep you safe. And I'm not that stupid, Gen. I gave the powers to my bro to look after before I broke in there. I simply gave up my immortality. I already lost it once and got it back, how bad could that be?"He says

"You got shot and nearly died last time! Stop acting like this isn't a big deal Reaper! He could hurt you! He could still kill you! I don't want him to do anything to you! Stop being so calm!"I tell him

"Hey, hey hey. Shuuussssh, sssshhhh, don't worry, Geno."He says, trying to be soothing but failing horribly

"Reaper....How could I not worry? I love you....You're a real idiot if you think I'm not going to worry about you."I say

He kisses me gently, his wings wrapped around me. He gradually and sweetly calmed me down with his reassurances and affectionate kisses. I couldn't help but purr.

"So what do you suggest doing now?"I ask

"Well my angelic kitten, I've gotten a few ideas already. All of which have us happily enjoying some alone time once this is all behind us.~"He coos

I smile, liking the sound of that. But then....

"You can't escape me that easily. Now your beloved Death is powerless. Now you have to be coming to your senses! Join the almighty God of Fortune, Geno! He has nothing to keep you now! You're destined to be by my side!"Fredro says

Reaper doesn't even seem fazed. He just smiles at me with his face glowing brightly. Who knows what is going through his head. His gaze was so genuinely happy, so sweet, so loving. I felt my face burn as it had been ever since Reaper showered me with kisses. I frown, growing annoyed with Fredro for pestering us. We had such a great moment before he came along.

I glance at Fredro, feeling my anger boil as he stood there with a grin as if he won. He extends his hand, expecting me to agree.

"I control my life. I don't believe in destiny. Just ask Destinio. You can go screw yourself. And if you don't mind, we were in the middle of something."I say, gripping Reaper's hand tightly with both of mine

I gaze up at him and his eyes turned into hearts, my actions seeming to excite him. I lean in, kissing his cheek to solidify the decision without any doubts of where I stand between these two. I hear my phone start ringing and Reaper hands me it from his pocket. I check it, seeing that Error was calling. I accept the call but after a few seconds, he hung up on me. I found that odd but then a glitched portal opens and Fredro gets taken away. I tuck my phone away.

"Well that is settled..."I say

He scoops me up without another word. He takes off soaring and lands outside a cozy looking cottage. I look up at him and he smiles. He shifts me in his arms and I grip him by the neck. That made him smiled wider as he carried me in through the front door. He swiftly shut the door behind us, carrying me upstairs and setting me on a bed. I glance around at the room, seeing that it was much bigger on the inside than on the outside, beds on the opposite sides of the room. The walls were split between red and black paint. Pictures of us and his brother or our friends hung everywhere. The bed he set me on was cushioned with soft blankets and red or white shaped pillows while the bed on the other side had more cool colors like blue, black and one or two white pillows. It was carefully set up and put together. I was speechless.

"Reaper....How long have you been putting this together?"I ask

"I umm, have been thinking about it for a while. Thought some distance would keep you safer. All those gods have only caused you trouble or put you in danger...And since you...em, don't have a world anymore, I thought we could be here together. I know you like your space, so I made sure everything of ours is separated. Clothes, beds, hygiene or bathroom stuff, even our foods in the fridge. I understand that it's sudden but-"He says

I kiss him to shut him up.

He was clearly shocked, but melted into it. I pull back and rest my head on his shoulder, pulling him down onto the bed. Finally have a proper home and someone to love again.

"I love you, Reaper. Now here's a concept you should indulge in more called peaceful sleep."I say, gently rubbing his cheek with my thumb, holding his cheeks in my hands

I look up at him sweetly. One eye of his turned into a heart once more. I pull the blankets over us and we dozed off peacefully.

It felt nice to be back with him.
