A few weeks later within the bedroom of team JNPR...

Nora, in her alter form,  was reading a book on her bed as Ren was reloading his guns. However, Pyrrha looked out into the window with a gloomy face. Alter then looks on to Pyrrha.

NA: You're worried for him, aren't you.

Ren: Ever since, he started fraternizing with Cardin, his prescence has become quite scarce.

Pyrrha: Why aren't we trying to help him?!

NA: Believe me, I would, and I definitely could, but until he asks it himself, all I'd do is damage his self worth.

Pyrrha: It's just that I feel so...so...

NA: Frustrated? Angry? Helpless? Been there bud. Don't worry, he'll come around on his own.

Pyrrha: I just hope so.

Unknown to them, their leader was spying on them from the slight opening on their door. Jaune sighs from frustration of his current position as he just slumps down on the door.

Ruby: Hey, Jaune!

Cookies: Scraaaw!

This startled Jaune making him make a karate pose. He then turns around to see Ruby in her pajamas, as she giggles at his reaction.

Ruby: Long time, no see! Did you lock yourself out again?

Jaune: Oh, uh, nope!

He then almost drips his scroll, whoch he fortunately catches in time.

Jaune: Phew.

Ruby: So! Where have you been lately?

Jaune: I, uh...

He then hung his head down in defeat.

Jaune: I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have, and now Cardin has me on a leash, and Pyrrha won't even talk to me, and... *sighs loudly* I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea.

He then gloomily slides down on the door.

Jaune: I'm a failure.

Ruby: Nope!

Jaune: Nope?

Ruby: Nope! You're a leader now, Jaune. You're not allowed to be a failure.

Jaune: But... what if I'm a failure at being a leader?

Ruby: Nope!

Jaune chuckles as Ruby joins him sitting on the floor.

Jaune: You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this kind of stuff.

Ruby: Nope! Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid... and you might've even been a failure the first day we met! But, you can't be one now. You know why?

Cookies: Scraw!

Jaune: Uhhh, because...?

Cookies:SCRAAWW SCRAW!

Ruby: Right, because it's not just about you anymore.

Jaune: D-did you just understand your grimm pet talk?

Ruby: That's not important. What is though is that you've got a team now, Jaune. We both do! And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. We have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader, Jaune. And I think that can be you.

She then walks over to her door and opens it as Jaune, now slightly inspired by her words, watches her wave.

Ruby: Have a good night, Jaune!

Jaune: Yeah... Hehe

She then goes inside with a smile.

With new energy, Jaune pushes himself off the ground and faces the door, ready to turn the knob and face his team, but his Scroll beeps and he pulls it off of his side to open it, seeing Cardin's contact relaying a message.

Cardin: Hey! It's your buddy Cardin! I know you're probably busy with that Dust project I gave you, buuuut I'm gonna need you to go out and get me a bag of Rapier Was-no make that two bags of Rapier Wasps and make sure they've got some REALLY big stingers! It's important, so don't screw this up!"

Jaune closes his Scroll just when it begins to beep again. Sighing, he wearily heads down the hallway and away from his room.

A day later...

The class went on a field trip to a place full of beautiful trees whose canopies were a vibrant shade of red. The class was then seen being led by Ms. Goodwitch, with the students carrying empty jars.

Ms. Goodwitch: Yes, students, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. You're here so that you all of you can get samples of red sap that grow within these forests and I am here so that no one dies in the process.

Glynda: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of grimm so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!"

While Yang and Ruby smile at one another, Jaune attempts to (noisily) sneak away from Cardin to his team, but the blackmailer sees this and grabs Jaune by the back.

Cardin: Come on, buddy - let's go!

Jaune miserably looks up at his team, where Nora and Ren are already walking into the forest's depths and Pyrrha is staring frustrated at the scene. Dropping his gaze, Jaune turns and follows CRDL, to the disappointment of a sighing Pyrrha before she continued walking.

Boboiboy: Alright! Time to collect this sap. I also brought this other jar extra just to experiment on my drink.

Yang: What, you gonna spike your drink with this stuff or something?

Ruby: Silly Yang, this stuff isn't even a narcotic.

Yang: Hahahah, I know, I know. I was just trying to mess with him. Anyways, arentcha like gonna use your powers for this or something?

Boboiboy: Eh, sure. But it's nice to do stuff without them as well for a change. So I won't.

Ruby: Okay team RWBBY! Operation Crimson Tree Blood is a go!

Boboiboy: Eh? Why are you giving such a cool name to such a normal job?

Ruby: So that way everything we do is awesome!

Boboiboy: Heheheheh, that's awesome.

Weiss: Let's get to it then. I am NOT waiting around for a grimm attack.

Yang: I kinda want to.

Blake: Let's go.

While this was happening, Jaune a few yards away was slaving away as team CRDL were chilling on a rock doing nothing.

Jaune: Here *pant* are the *pant* sap.

Jaune then falls on the floor, absolutely exhausted physically and mentally.

Cardin: Good job Jauney boy! Now, you might be thinking "Why do I have to collect seven jars if there are only five of us?", aren'tcha?

Jaune: Well, that's one of the questions I want to ask. Yes.

Cardin: Come on, I'll show you.

He then drags Jaune as the rest of his team follows. He then leads them to a small cliff over looking the rest of the students.

Cardin: Jaune, everyone the light touches, is safe from me.

Jaune's eyes then widen in horror as he sees that the only ones at that moment who were covered by a canopy were Pyrrha and Boboiboy.

Jaune: Oh no...

Cardin: Oh yes. I read the essay you made for me yesterday and I thought "What better way to give sweet, sweet revenge than with something that loooves sweets". And luckily, you collected enough of them for our little prank.

Jaune: Then w-why am I here then.

Cardin then leans close and hands Jaune a jar of sap.

Cardin: And you will be the one to do the deed or...ya know. Bye bye huntsman dream.

Jaune(inside head): If I do this, then I'd be able to stay. But my friends on the other hand will hate me and I'd be stuck as one of Cardin's lackeys. On the other hand,  if I DON'T do this then I will drop out of school. I'll go back home empty-handed, and my friends might hate me for being such a faker.

Jaune inhales and then, with an unsettlingly detailed face, says-

Jaune: But I refuse!

Cardin: You...WHAT?!

Jaune: I, Jaune Arc, am many things. A faker, a weakling, an absolute noob. But one thing I am not is a traitor to my true friends. I, Jaune Arc have a dream. I want to be a Huntsman like no one has ever seen. But I am willing to lose all that for my friends. That and I like to say I refuse to bullies who think they have an absolute advantage!

 Cardin: So whatcha gonna do about it? Huh!

Jaune then chucks the honey at him.

Jaune: That.

Cardin: Oho, you're so done!

He then starts beating Jaune up left right and center with his two of his three team mates holding him up.

Cardin: Dove! Why aren'tcha joining?

Dove: I honestly don't care for these kinds of things.

Cardin: Your loss.

Sky Lark and Russel Thrush then held him up for Cardin to beat up. He then started to swing his fist at Jaune's face, making bruise marks wherever his fist landed. Eventually, they drop him on the floor.

Cardin: Not so tough ARE we now Jauney boy?

Jaune just smirks and chuckles at Cardin. He then bursts out into full on laughter.

Cardin: The hell?!

Cardin then gets creeped out by Jaune and backs off a bit.

Jaune: Oh man, I just realized how pathetic you actually are. You're getting nervous from me just standing my ground. You may act tough, but you're actually surprisingly cowardly.

Cardin: Really? Caught off guard sure, but afraid, nah.

Cardin then chokes and lifts Jaune.

Jaune: Go ahead! Hit me! But know this, you will NOT mess with my friends!

Cardin: Let's see how tough you really are!

Cardin then swung his fist at it's strongest but was immediately blinded a bright light that Jaune emitted. He then winced in pain and cradled his punching hand.

Cardin: The hell?!

Jaune then looks at his arms confused on why they were glowing. He then notices that his aura has healed his bruises.

Cardin: Let's see how well you face against my mace then!

Suddenly a giant ursa crawls out of the trees.

Just as he says this, a low growl is heard, and a surprised Team CRDL turns around and sees a large paw crash onto the scene, belonging to a huge Ursa Major with dozens of jagged spikes sticking out from its wide back. It leaps forward and stands over the terrified students, lifting its head in the air to smell the sap on Cardin's breastplate. It lands back on its forelegs and roars at Cardin while his teammates performed the Joestar Family Technique, except Dove who was shakily pointing his sword at the ursa frozen in fear.

Russel: ThAt'S a BiG uRsA!

It then continues sniffing until Cardin decides to grab his mace and swings it at the bear. However, the creature merely bats it away. It then raises a paw and brings it down on Cardin.

*clank*

Instead of pain, Cardin was shocked to see Jaune in front of him, blocking the paw with his shield. He then pushes it back.

Jaune: Go! I'll hold it off. Get help!

It then tries to charge Jaune, but was stopped as a bullet ricochets off its skull mask.

Dove: I'll help!

Jaune nods smiling as he as well as one of his former bullies stand in the way of the ursa.

Dove: Go, Cardin, we can handle this. Call Ms. Goodwitch.

Cardin: Tsch, fine!

He then goes as both sword wielding blondes grip their weapons tighter.

Dove: I picked on you because you were a faker. Now that you're showing real guts, I have decided to acknowledge you as a semi-genuine huntsman candidate. Now show me if I can fully acknowledge you.

Jaune: Woah! This is the longest you have ever talked. Let's go then.

Meanwhile with RWBBY and JNPR...

Ruby: Do you hear that sound?

Boboiboy: Hear what?

They then saw Russel, Sky and Cardin running away, with Cardin being noticeably the least scared.

Sky: Run for your lives!

Yang then picks Russel by the shirt.

Yang: Okay, what's going on?

Cardin then jogs over to her.

Cardin: Look, we were just...playing with Jaune and suddenly a giant ursa came out. The idiot as well as Dove decided to play heroes and are holding it off as we speak.

Pyrrha then runs up to Cardin and gives him a right hook to the face.

Pyrrha: YOU JERKS!! First you used Jaune like a slave while blackmailing him, and now your using him as a decoy?! How scummy can you people get?!

Cardin then growls at her, but relents.

Cardin: It's the damn bastards fault if he wants to get killed! He offered to do so, right after standing up to me! I'm out of here!

He then runs away.

Ruby: Blake, Yang, go contact miss Goodwitch! Everyone else, let's go.

They then arrive to Dove and Jaune tag teaming the ursa in almost perfect sync. When the ursa charged, Jaune blocks it, which was then followed shortly by a few shots from Dove's gun sword. They then would slash at it's belly but couldn't land a fatal strike. Pyrrha gets a lightbulb on her head as she then raises her right arm as a black force surrounds it.

Boboiboy: What are you doing?

Pyrrha: Using my semblance. By the way, my semblance is polarity.

Ruby: Can you control poles?

Weiss: Ugh, no you dolt, she controls magnets.

Ruby: Magnets are cool too I guess.

Pyrrha then sneakily redirects Jaune's shield just as he was about to get hit, helping him block.

Nora: Uh, Pyrrha?

Pyrrha: Mhm?

Nora: Alter told me to tell you to stop helping.

Pyrrha: But why?

Nora: Because this is Jaune's fight and if he is gonna learn, we're to leave him alone.

Ruby: She's right ya know.

Pyrrha: *sigh* Very well.

Jaune them raises his shield to block.

Jaune: Okay, now shoot it in the leg to make it kneel. Then we decapitate it.

Dove: Right!

After making the ursa take a half kneel, Jaune shouts "Now! " as both teens then charge at it from opposite sides with Jaune coming from its front while Dove from behind.

Jaune/Dove: GHHUUAAAAAAAGGHHH!!!

They both then land a strike each at almost the exact same spot decapitating it. Both of them then fell to the floor in exhaustion.

Jaune: Awesome job dude. I'd never thought I'd be fighting side by side with my bully.

Dove: As do you Jaune Arc. Something tells me my leader will not be messing with you anymore.

Ruby, Weiss, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren and Boboiboy then ran over to them.

Ruby: Ohmygoshareyoutwoalright?!!

Nora: See? They're fiiiine.

Pyrrha then smiles at Jaune and whispers at Jaune that "I knew you could do it." to which he smiles back. Her expression then turned to one of horror as Jaune started coughing up blood.

Jaune : Now, could anyone please take us to the infirmary? I think it broke something.

The very next day Jaune makes a full recovery and heads back to his room where he got surprised by his teammates with a get well soon pancake. Pyrrha then tackles Jaune into a hug.

Pyrrha: Thank goodness you're alright!

Ren: So is your whole problem with team CRDL over now? Can we stop worrying about you running off on another servant run?

Jaune: Yeah. But before anything else, I have been meaning to tell you all a secret that only me and Pyrrha know of.

Ren: If this is about the faked transcript then we kinda already knew.

Jaune: What??! How?

NA: I overheard you two talking while I was training with Boboiboy so I told Ren.

Ren: Don't worry, our view of you has not changed one bit. So now, we want to train you.

Jaune: But I was just about to accept Pyrrha's training as well as Dove's since he insisted as an apology.

Ren: Worry not. For what we have a plan. Alter, if you don't mind.

NA: Right.

She then pulls out a white board amd marker out of the bottom of her bed and begins to draw. She then runs away with her lightning speed and then returns with a confused Dove.

Dove: What's going on?

NA: Alright so here's the plan. Every Monday and Wednesday, your training with Dove and Pyrrha, then every Tuesday with Boboiboy, Ruby and me-

Jaune: But you guys would break me.

NA: I'll be blunt, you're too far off to be able to keep up with us with just basic training. Don't worry, we'll hold back against you. Well they would, I might not.

Jaune then gulped in terror.

NA: Now, finally, after that you will have Thursdays and Fridays with Ren for aura training and meditation. Any questions?

Jaune then raises his hand and nervously asks "So am I good during weekends?"

NA: *sigh* Yes, Jaune. Look, I'm strict, but I'm fair.

Jaune: R-right.

Meanwhile somewhere else....

S????: Hello child.

F???: GAAHH! LET! ME! GO!

S???? then takes a grimm bug and palces it on F???'s nape. It then latches on forcefully, making F??? scream in agony.

S????: There. Better?

F???: I... will... never... submit... to... evil... Not... again.

The bug pops off and fades into smoke.

S????: Looks like he isn't ready yet.

C?????: You know that you could just kill him and give me his watch right?

S????: And risk you going crazy like that student? Not a chance. The safe option would be to learn how these watches work first.

C?????: Gr... Fine.

S????: Besides, I wish only the best for my pieces. You shall get that orange boy's watch. Is that not a better option?

T?????: OOH! When do we make them fight my goddess?

S????: Soon, my dear Tyrian. But not yet.

F???: I...WILL...NEVER...SUBMIT!

S????: You can keep that bravado on for as long as you'd like, but we both know you're cracking bit by bit, little by little. So, how long will it take... hero. How long till you are ready to accept that the power of good can only do so much. For before and after the light appears, there is nothing but darkness.

S???? and her cronies then laugh maniacally as F??? screams in agony.
