The very next day, Ms Goodwitch held a small sparring session in the Physical Education class. The match so far was Jaune Arc vs Cardin Winchester. However, instead of a fight, it was instead more akin to a one-sided beatdown where every strike Jaune lands merely bounced off of Cardin's mace. After two minutes or so, Jaune was left exhausted, barely standing with his sword, Crocea Mors as cane.

Cardin: This is where you lose.

Jaune: Over my dead body.

Cardin then uppercuts Jaune with his right fist and was about to bring his mace down, but was stopped by miss Goodwitch.

Glynda: Cardin, that's enough!

Cardin walks away as Ms. Goodwitch just sways her head slightly in disappointment.

Glynda: Students, as you can see, Mr. Arc's Aura has now dropped into the red. In a tournament-styled duel, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle, and that the official may call the match.

Jaune still layed on the floor in defeat while his friends worriedly look at him. Glynda then looks at the losing warrior as he pulls out a smaller tablet with his low, blinking stats and that of his entire team.

Glynda: Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please try to refer to your scroll during combat. Gauging your Aura will help you decide when it's appropriate to attack, or when it is better to move to a more... defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf now, would we?

Cardin: Speak for yourself...

Boboiboy: Jerk...

Glynda: Remember, everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away! It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!

The bell rings, and students start leaving while Pyrrha continued to frown at Jaune. Jaune, sat on the floor, and hung his head in shame. Nora and Ren were also there with Nora patting Jaune on the head.

Timeskip to Lunch...

Now, team RWBY AND JNPR were sitting on their tables as Boboiboy walked around, selling Cocoa as usual. Nora then tells a story...

Nora: So! There we were, in the middle of the night...

Ren: It was day.

Nora: We were surrounded by Ursai...

Boboiboy then passes to Ren and gives him a cup of cocoa that had whipped cream and a chocolate bar stabbed into it.

Ren: They were Beowolves."

Nora: Dozens of them!

Nora screamed this as she stood on the table of both Team RWBY and JNPR, where Weiss is ignoring Nora and filing her nails while eyeing Boboiboy's watch from time to time, Ruby and Pyrrha are listening politely, and Jaune is messing with his food.

Ren: Two of 'em.

Ruby and Pyrrha then started to look at a distant Jaune, but Nora continues.

Nora: But they were no match... And in the end, Ren, Alter and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs! Oh, wanna go out Alter? Oh sure.

NA: *sighs* We've been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now. Now... about Jaune...*points at Jaune* Also Nora is back.

Pyrrha: Jaune, are you okay?

Jaune then jerked as if he was pulled back to reality.

Jaune: Oh huh? Yeah! Why?

Ruby: You just seem... not okay. Cookies can confirm, grimms can sense stuff like these after all.

All eyes from team RWBBY and jnpr were on him.

Jaune: Guys, I'm fine. Seriously! Look!

He then stares at CRDL picking on a girl with brown hair and rabbit ears. Boboiboy sees this and calmly places down the tray he used to serve cocoa with and listens to their conversation, making a mental note to get a talk with Cardin and his gang of misfits.
Pyrrha: Jaune, Cardin's been picking on you since the first week of school!

Jaune: Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah*.. He just likes to mess around! You know, practical jokes!

Ruby: He's a bully.

Jaune: *scoffs* Name one time he did.

Cookies the grimm cloak then separates and Cookies comes out as a crow-sized nevermore, covered in reddish highlights. It then began squawking incessantly at Jaune making him cover his ears.

Jaune: Gah! What is that bird doing?

Ruby: I'm sorry. Cookies, stop shouting

Weiss: What is the bird even saying!? Can't a lady file their nails in peace?

Ruby: He is just shouting liar at Jaune over and over again.

Ruby then catches the red crow and tries to hold it down. Jaune then sits down sighing.

Jaune: Well, I mean, he's not just mean to me. He's mean to everybody, right?

Pyrrha: If you need help, don't forget to ask. We are all here for you.

Jaune: Really! I'm fine guys! I am a-ok.

They all then look over as the laughing grows louder, mixed in with cries of pain from the rabbit girl when one of her ears are tugged on by Cardin.

Velvet: Ow! That hurts! Please, stop...

Cardin: I told you it was real!

Russel: What a freak!

The orange clad boy finally had enough and walked towards the four bullies. With a darkened face he stares down Cardin saying "Let her go."

Cardin then just scoffed and, with a smug face, says "And whatcha gonna do about it? Fight me? You know you'll get in trouble for that right?"

Sky: Hey, hey, hey, he might tell on Ms. Goodwitch.

Boboiboy: Why... why do you hurt people?

Cardin: Easy, to show the weak their place. To show who is at the top.

Boboiboy: The strong is given this power so we can protect the weak! You- you are a villain!

Cardin: Wha-no how dare you call me a villain short stack?!

Cardin then raises his fist and, despite knowing fully well that he can easily whoop these four, Boboiboy decides against it and takes a right hook to the face. the hit head on. Cardin then readies his mace and prepares to go for a swing that would put even Ren into a five day coma. After all, he HAS taken hits from the likes of Borara, this is going to be nowhere as bad he thought. As Cardin was about to bring it down his mace, he was suddenly stopped. He then suddenly sees his teammates run away, scared. What awaits him was nothing short of fear incarnate, an angry Glynda Goodwitch. At this moment, Cardin was frozen in so much fear, even his mouth couldn't muster to talk.

Glynda: Office, now!

The last thing Cardin sees before being dragged into the pits of hell is Boboiboy helping the rabbit girl from earlier up and the cause of ms. Goodwitch being there, Pyrrha. Apparently, while the commotion was happening, Pyrrha contacted her on her scroll, alerting the Headmaster's assistant know of the conflict happening. Cardin then swears under his breath that he would get both of them back for this.

Meanwhile, Boboiboy looks at the older person and asks "Are you alright?"

Rabbit Girl: Are you?! I mean he just punched you in the face!

She then starts checking for any damage, luckily all he had was a bruise in the face where Cardin socked him.

Rabbit Girl: I'm used to being hurt by humans, so don't get yourself killed just for lil' ol me. Oh, my name is Velvet by the way.

Boboiboy: I'm Boboiboy and what do you mean by humans?

Velvet: Many people don't like us for being part animal.

Boboiboy: That is dumb, noone should ever judge someone for having awesome animal parts. I mean I had a classmate once who had green skin and antennae and we didn't really judge him for that. (Although he was still a jerk who tried to kill is on multiple occasions.)

Velvet: Glad you think that way. Now you're absolutely sure your alright?

Boboiboy: YES. You don't need to worry.

Velvet: I-If that's the case then I must really take my leave. My class is about to start anytime soon.

Boboiboy: Alright, take care!

Velvet then left waving goodbye at her newfound friend as he waved back.

History class then started after lunch so team RWBBY and team JNPR then went. They then arrive to Professor Oobleck zooming into the room at a speed that rivalled even Boboiboy Thunderstorm.

Boboiboy: Heheh, yeah awesome.

Classes then began in earnest as the professor started to lecture about the history of the world, I guess. Students were all paying attention, barely keeping up. Except for Nora who had turned Alter especially for this subject. Though the usage of her watch given ability meant she is unable to use neither her semblance nor her aura, this meant that A. Normal Nora would be extremely powered up afterwards and more importantly B. she can move faster due to the nature of this form. However, even in this form, she is still barely keeping up writing Oobleck's lessons. But due to this, ability as well, she kinda became their group's note recorder, such is fate of the group's faster writer. Anyways, by now, Jau was already falling asleep, yet a surprisingly not-in-trouble Cardin had other plans. He chucks a tiny ball of paper at Jaune making him snort awake. The professor coincidentally asked a question during this time and when he saw what seemed to be a half-raised hand from Jaune he said "Yes mr. Arc, finally contributing to class I see. So, what specific advantage did the faunus have?"

Jaune then began stuttering looking for answers while looking everywhere. Pyrrha then cups her hands on her eyes as Nora Alter hurriedly looks around, thinking of a plan to help. With her lightning powers, she then makes her glow like a certain WOKE meme.

Jaune: Um, the-their eyes are... special?

Oobleck: How so, Mr. Arc?

Jaune: They... um... glow in the dark!

Oobleck: You don't know, do you?

Jaune: No...

He then slumps back to his seat in defeat.

The professor then spots Cardin laughing at him and asks "How about you mr. Winchester? Perhaps you want to share your thoughts on the subject?"

Cardin: Easy, it's just easier to train animals than it is soldiers.

This earns a glare from Pyrrha, Blake, Velvet and Boboiboy and a disapproving shake of the head from the teacher.

Pyrrha: You're not the most open minded of individuals, are you?

Cardin: What? You got a problem?

Pyrrha: No, but I got an answer. Night vision, most faunus species have special eyes that allow them to see in the dark.

Blake then adds "General Lagune was also inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured." She then turns to Cardin and says "Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure."

Cardin then raises his fist, clenched and ready to strike as Boboiboy also stands up with his watch glowing.

Oobleck: Mr. Winchester, Boboiboy! Please take your seat.

Jaune then laughed at his bully, but got a "You and Mr. Arc can both see me after class for additional readings." from the slightly fuming professor Oobleck who takes yet another sip of his coffee from his tumbler.

Oobleck: Now, moving on...

After classes ended, everyone was leaving to do something else, this included all but the leaders of team JNPR and team CRDL.

NA: Come on, we must study.

Pyrrha: You guys go on ahead, I'll wait for Jaune.

Boboiboy: Hey Alter, remember training with me and Ruby later alright? Remember you said you still wanna swap back and forth better.

Nora/NA: We will!/We will.

Boboiboy: How did you that weird voice?

Meanwhile, inside with Jaune, Cardin and Oobleck. The professor then took a sip of his coffee and started talking. "You two have been struggling in my class since day one! Now, I don't know if it's a lack of interest, or just your stubborn nature, but whatever it is..." He then takes a longer sip of his coffee and then continues with "It stops now! You've worked hard to gain entrance to this school, and we only accept the best of the best, so I expect you to act like it. History is important, gentlemen! If you can't learn from it... you're destined to repeat it. Pages fifty-one to ninety-one! I want an essay on my desk by next class! Now! Run along."

With that, he zooms out of the classroom and past a waiting Pyrrha in a green and white blur. Jaune comes out first, and Cardin emerges behind him, pushing him to the ground an emitting an "Ow!" from him which makes the bully laugh before walking away.

Pyrrha then pulls Jaune back on his feet and says "You know, I really will break his legs." Jaune sighs, and Pyrrha looks like she is struck by inspiration. "I have an idea! Here, come with me!" She grabs a confused Jaune by the arm and drags him along as she turns down the corridor.

A few minite timeskip brought to you by Chibi Pyrrha running at top speed dragging a Chibi Jaune while Deja Vu plays.

They eventually go to a rooftop and Jaune stood at an edge. He then looks over the edge of the roof and says to Pyrrha "Pyrrha, I know I'm going through hard times right now but... *looks over the edge* I'm not THAT desperate. I could become a farmer or something. But if you insist "

Pyrrha looked confused and then the same look gets quickly replaced with horror as Pyrrha yanks Jaune back to the roof mid-jump.

Pyrrha: N-no-no! I don't mean that. I mean, Jaune, I know you're having a difficult time in class and that you're still not the strongest of fighters, so... I want to help you!"

Jaune: Wh-what?

Pyrrha: We can train up here after class where no one can bother us!

Jaune: You think I need help?

Pyrrha: N-no! No, that's not what I meant.

Jaune: But you just said it.

Pyrrha: Jaune, everybody needs a little push from time to time. It doesn't make you any different from the rest of us. You made it to Beacon! That speaks volumes of what you're capable of!

Jaune: You're wrong. I-I don't belong here.

Pyrrha: That's a terrible thing to say! Of course you do!

Boboiboy: Oh hey, what are you two doing?

Jaune: What are you?!

Pyrrha: Jaune doesn't think he should be in Beacon. I mean, the fact you were even accepted speaks volumes of you, Jaune.

Jaune: No, I don't! I wasn't really accepted into Beacon...

Nora: Who's there?

Boboiboy: Noone, just continue training with Ruby.

Ruby: Cookies, CHARGE!!

The bellowing sound of a Nevermore was then heard as red and black feathery projectiles fire everywhere.

Pyrrha: Wh-what do you mean?

Jaune: I mean I didn't go to combat school, I didn't pass any tests. I didn't earn my spot at this Academy! I lied! I got my hands on some fake transcripts, and I lied!

Pyrrha: What? But... why?

Jaune: Cause this is always what I've wanted to be! My father, my grandfather, and his father before him were all warriors! They were all heroes! I wanted to be one, too. I was just never good enough.

Pyrrha then approaches her friend and places a hand on his shoulder.

Pyrrha: Then let me help you! Let us *gestures tobherself and Boboiboy who was still on the roof*

Jaune then suddenly snaps on her with mad frustration)
Jaune: I don't want help! I don't want to be the damsel in distress! I want to be the hero!

Boboiboy/Pyrrha: Before you can do that-/Jaune, I-

Jaune: NO! I'm tired of being the lovable idiot, stuck in the tree while his friends fight for their lives! Don't you understand? If I can't do this on my own... then what good am I?

Boboiboy: No one is a hero by day one-

Jaune: YOUR WATCH SAYS OTHERWISE!

Pyrrha attempts to reach out for his arm and console him, but he leans back from her touch.

Jaune: Just... leave me alone. Okay?

Pyrrha: If that's what you think is best...

Boboiboy: If you change your mind, you know where we are.

Pyrrha walks away downtrodden as Boboiboy sighs and leaves to continue training with Ruby and Nora. Jaune then paced back and forth until he hears a mischeivious chuckle from none other than Cardin Winchester.

Cardin: Oh, Jaune...

Jaune: C-cardin!?

Cardin: I couldn't help but overhear you two from my dorm room. So, you snuck into Beacon, huh? I gotta say, Jaune, I never expected YOU to be such a rebel!

Jaune: Please, Cardin, please, don't tell anyone!

Cardin: Jaune, come on! I'd never rat on a friend like that!

Jaune: A... a friend?

Cardin: Of course!

He then headlocks Jaune making the blonde struggle in vain. Unknown to either of them, Nora Alter heard everything. She silently growls, but relents from helping as she knows this is a fight she can't help Jaune with. She has already caused enough damage. One more injury and she might be suspended, or worse, kicked out.

Cardin: We're friends now, Jauney boy! And the way I see it, as long as you're there for me when I need you, we'll be friends for a long time. He finally releases Jaune, who gaspedbfor air as Jaune leans on the ground.

Cardin: That being said, I really don't have time to do those extra readings Dr. Oobleck gave us today. Think you could take care of that for me, buddy?

He then leans down and grabs Jaune's hair and with a grin before putting him back down.

Cardin: That's what I thought. Oh and don't worry, Jaune; your secret's safe with me.

Jaune: Hoooh boy...

Later that night..

As Boboiboy heads back to his dorm, he spots Nora Alter leaning on her team dorm's door with her arms crossed and an angry look all over her face.

NA: We overheard everything. Why didn't you help him?!

Boboiboy: He didn't want it.

NA: What about the watch? Couldn't you just have made him use the watch?

Boboiboy: Are you crazy? The watch reacted violently to Nora's aura. You were lucky that all that happened to you was split your personality. Imagine how badly that would end for him with his previously mentioned, abnormally high aura? Boom! Splat! Arc no more! Look, we all care for him, but if he won't ask for help about it then there is no way we can.

She then clenches her fist hard, while gritting her teeth but later calmed down seeing as how her friend is right.

NA: I'm going to sleep. Good night.

Boboiboy then slumps on the door before Ruby opens up.

Ruby: U-um Boboiboy? You alright?

Boboiboy: Did I do the right decision? Ya know, with not forcing help on Jaune. Am I a bad hero?

Ruby: No clue and no.

Boboiboy: What if I give him my watch? I mean, sure it's risky but-

Ruby: Nope!

Boboiboy: He might get found out and-

Ruby: Nope!

Boboiboy: Would you let me finish my senten-

Ruby: Nope! Why? Because having one person hurting is bad enough as it is. We don't need two people going through depression. Listen, what you did earlier was correct. You can't really help someone feel better if they don't want it no matter how badly you want to be the hero. All we can do is hope that Jaune will open up about it. Till then, we just have to respect his option okay?

Boboiboy: Heh, you're right. Ozpin WAS right to choose you as leader. You are awesome. *thumbs up*

Ruby: Anytime. Now go to sleep, you'll be late tomorrow.

Boboiboy: Right.

Afterthots:
Alrighty, another chapter finished. So before anything, should I make someone else get watch powers? And if so, which one? Personally I want to give Ren fire so that we get absolute maximum one hundred no chill Ren.

Also second question, should I redeem CRDL? Okay, before you march to me with your pitchforks whichbare also guns, hear me out. You see there has been almost if not absolitely no Cardin redemption stories and I would want to do something like that.

If yes then should I:

A. Make CRDL die heroic sacrifices or

B. Keep them as relevant allies.

C. C can be any other way I can redeem them if you got an idea.

If no, then do I:

A. Make them fade into Obscurity in an Araki forgot type of way or

B. Kill them off during the fall of Bacon.

C. C is still a wildcard or hot cocoa if you want.
