Welcome
Third Person
"Stanley?" Ford muttered.
"For the third time," Stan sighed, "The bus is probably late."
"I'm not talking about the time of the transportation being late," Ford said, " we have a problem."
"And your problem is?" Stan asked.
"Earlier in the morning my transmitter started transmitting high frequencies. My first hypothesis was that it was nothing of course, but it started to become more frequent." Ford explained.
"Ford, remember when it did that last time and it was just the magnetic field," Stan muttered, "There is also trapped magic and weirdness inside gravity falls."
"Of course I remember that, Stanley. but what if something happens? And if you know who comes back." Ford explained, "This could be serious matter and also we're having our niece and nephew come over."
" Ford, he's not coming back because we did what we had to do to protect and save our little town," Stan sighed, "You worry so much and I know you're a little worried but everything is somewhat back to normal."
"I see the bus," Ford pointed out.
The bus stopped in front of the stop sign and the twins were the only ones on the bus. Mabel and Dipper climbed out of the bus and stood in front of them.
"Hey kiddos," Stan smiled, "You probably don't remember us since we last saw each other."
Ford coughed because he had never seen them at all before, "Yes."
"My name is Stan and this is Ford," Stan introduced himself and his brother.
They were waiting for a respond from the kids. They were seventeen and they didn't know who they would react.
Mabel squealed and hugged both of them, "I'm super excited to meet you Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford! I made you sweaters!"
Dipper chuckled, "Careful Mabel, you don't want to hurt them with hugs."
Stan laughed and Ford waddled a bit away.
"Hey, I'm Dipper,"
"Dippin Dots, they know who we are," Mabel smiled.
"I still think it's polite to introduce ourselves," Dipper muttered, "They haven't seen us in so long."
"That's true," Mabel said, "I'm Mabel!"
Stan opened his arms wide and smiled, "This is gravity falls well... some of it."
"Let's show them to our home and have them settle in," Ford explained.
"Are we sharing rooms?" Mabel asked.
"You two are old enough to have different rooms," Stan answered.
The twins followed Ford and Stan to their house. Stan explained the mysteries of the mystery shack and what he does here. Stan jokingly offered that they could work here if they wanted too. He wasn't expecting for the kids to say yes.
"Who wants the attic and how wants the secret room?" Stan asked.
"I want the secret room!" Mabel raised her hand.
"I honestly don't care as much," Dipper answered, "Mabel only wants it because it has the word secret in it."
"And you're one hundred percent correct," Mabel stated.
"Well, this was easier than expected," Stan smiled.
"I'll show Dipper to his room," Ford said.
"Follow me sweetie," Stan said to Mabel.
Dipper followed Ford to the attic. Dipper opened the door and walked into the room. He was excited that he had a desk. It was pretty old but a desk was a desk. It also had a book shelf filled with books. The bed had sheets, pillows, and blankets.
"We cleaned it up a little before your arrival," Ford explained, "You can open the window and let fresh air inside if that is what you desire."
"Thank so much Uncle Ford," Dipper smiled, "May I read any of the books?"
"Of course you can," Ford smiled, "You can read as much as you want."
"I just wanted ask incase," Dipper mumbled.
"I'll let you get settle in, but if you need anything don't be afraid to ask," Ford said.
As Ford started to leave Dipper had remembered something, "I have a question."
Ford turned his head over his shoulder and asked, "Yes?"
Dipper went through his bag and started to look for a letter. He had found it in boxes in his basement and had been saving it since he found it. He took out the letter and handed it to Ford.
"I found his in my parents basement," Dipper mumbled, "I know that I shouldn't have read it but I did."
"And this letter is?" Ford asked while opening it.
"It's about this place and how it's magic... how there are fascinating creatures," Dipper described, "Things out of this very world. I-I just wanted to know if it's true."
Ford thought about it for a bit. He wasn't sure if Dipper could handle the information. He looked closer at the letter and he didn't recognize the hand writing. He wasn't Stans or his... Their parents haven't been in gravity falls either.
"I'll let you find out for yourself," Ford said before quickly leaving.
Dipper watched the door close and stared at it. He was a little disappointed that Ford didn't give him a answer. Dipper opened the small window and started to unpack.
Dipper was waiting for Mabel to enter the room and surprise him with something. She would always pack the most random stuff. It didn't take him that long to unpack since it wasn't that much stuff. Since he was focus and motivated he finished faster.
Dipper looked at the book shelf and wondered what type of books that they had. He looked at the books and found none of them that caught his eye.
There was a book that was on the top of the book shelf near the very back. He could barely reach it, but he did.
"What's this?" Dipper muttered.
It was a red book with golden hand on it with a number four on it. There was a letter poking out and Dipper sat down on his bed and read it.
"I know I told Stanley that no more copies of the journals existed. When the weirdmagddon happened they were, but I wrote a final one after it all happened. This contains important parts of each journal, just in case it happens again," Dipper read to himself, "How to defeat the monster, how to protect ourselves, and once in for all... kill him. This also contains random monsters and plants that I have discovered in this strange land."
"Woah..." Dipper mumbled, "This place is crazy."
Dipper heard footsteps and he quickly hid the book under his mattress. He saw Ford come in and greet him causally.
"Greetings, I apologize for coming in unannounced," Ford said, "I just need to check something in the bookshelf."
"It's okay," Dipper said.
Ford looked threw the bookshelf wanting to find the book that Dipper had hidden. When he couldn't find it he left and thought he had put it away in his lab.
Dipper left his room to go find Mabel and tell her about his discovery. He wasn't sure if he should tell her yet.
"Mabel!" Dipper whispered yelled at the door.
"What is it?" Mabel opened the door.
"Come to my room now, please?" Dipper grabbed Mabel's hand and pulled her to his room.
"Alright then," Mabel muttered.
Mabel sat down on the spinning chair he had in his room. Dipper locked the door and then got the book from his mattress. He gave Mabel the letter and told her to read it.
Dipper watched Mabel's eyes grow in interested and excitement.
"Mother of pearl," Mabel said, "Holy cow! Where did you find this and where's the book?"
"We have to keep this secret," Dipper sat down on his bed crisscrossed, "I think Ford was looking for it."
"Well, duh! But have you read it?" Mabel asked.
"Not yet, but the possibilities this summer are endless!" Dipper raised his arms and places them back down, "This place is magic."
"I wanna see a unicorn," Mabel smiled, "I want my childhood dreams to come true."
"Aren't you excited for the mysteries of the unknown? Why certain things exist and stuff?" Dipper asked.
Mabel took a deep breath and said, "Yes, but magic. We get to live a true fair tale, Dipper. Isn't that exciting too?"
"Of course, like a magical prince is going to appear and recuse us?" Dipper answered.
"You know what I mean," Mabel pouted.
"Haha, I do but still," Dipper laughed.
"We have to hide it," Mabel whispered.
"Don't you think I don't know that," Dipper answered.
"Hide it in your bed or we should find a lose wood and place the book in the wall like the movies," Mabel suggested.
"Like the movies," Dipper stated, "Help me find one."
"We'll read it later," Mabel said.
"I'll read it and summarize it to you," Dipper sighed.
"I can read it... it just takes me a while and I get distracted," Mabel crossed her arms and pouted.
"This is why I summarize it to you because you get distracted too much." Dipper said.
"Fine," Mabel muttered, "But I still wanna try to finish it on my own."
"Or we could read it together?" He suggested.
Mabel agreed to that plan and they went to find a loose floor board to hide the book. After a few minutes of looking they found a loose floor board under his mattress which was convent.
"Kids! Dinner is ready!" Stan called.
"We're coming!" They both called out.
"I'll put it away," Dipper whispered.
"See you at the table," Mabel smiled.
Mabel left the room and Dipper opened the book. He looked threw a few pages and saw beautiful drawings. A certain page caught his eye and it was a bunch of symbols.
He traced his finger over the triangle and then over the Big Dipper. He saw letters magical appear on the page.
"Triangulum, entangulum. meteforis dominus ventium. metefori-" Dipper mumbled.
"Dipper!" Mabel shouted.
"C-Coming!" Dipper shouted back.
Dipper quickly placed the book in its hiding spot and covered it. He raced downstairs and ate with his family.
There was a small opening filled with flowers, bushes, and rocks. An odd shaped rock peeked out of the ground and camouflaged itself with the nature. Barely noticeable since it's been so long.
I invoke the ancient power that I may return.
