She knows

Third Person

"Sammy, I have to talk to Mabel," Pacifica said while getting ready, "I just need to know if I'm right."
"Ssss..."
"Sammy, don't look at me like that," She sighed, "I'm just worried about her and for everyone in town."
"Ssss,"
"Just get on before I leave you here," Pacifica looked at him.

Sammy flew to her shoulders. She closed her door and went through the front door. She shouted that she was leaving, but like always no one answered. Her parents were busy planning for their party which was supposed to be their biggest one yet. Pacifica stopped going to the parties when she turned fourteen when she finally stuck up for herself and told them that she wasn't going to be a part of big events anymore.

She walked out and knowing that she was popping by without notice. She was hoping that no one that she knew personally saw her because then they would want to tag along and she needed to be alone with her. She went to the store and grabbed everything that Mabel loved so it will be easier for her to tell her what she knew.

When she was walking towards the shack she shouted at Sammy, "Where are you going?"

Sammy did not listen and went into the woods. She raced after Sammy and shouted for him to come back. She finally caught up to him, but he willingly stopped. She heard laughter coming from somewhere and she followed. Sammy came back onto her shoulders and stayed quiet.

"I believe that bush was an actual monster," Mabel said, "I hate that you made that thing scares me!"
"Haha, I'm sorry, Shooting star," Bill laughed, "It was a little funny."
"You have to give it to him, Mabel," Dipper chuckled, "It was a little funny, but you also scared the shit out of him a while ago."
"Whatever," Mabel sighed, "We still have to find that location since that talking toad gave us the wrong place."
"We can find it," Bill smiled at them, "We just have to try harder."
"I don't get why we can't teleport," Mabel sighed, "It'll be so much faster."
Dipper looked at Mabel, "How am I supposed to find this place where none of us know where it is?"
"I mean, we could just teleport to random places until we find it," Mabel said.
Bill hugged Dipper from behind and kissed his cheek, "We'll find the place soon and even if we don't that will be okay. We'll look for it another day if it gets too dark."
"Bill," Dipper blushed.
"Maybe we can ask a monster for help," Mabel said, "They know the woods better than us anyway."

Pacifica felt a spider crawl on her hand and she screamed by instinct. She's always hated them even when she's seen scarier stuff.

"Oh my god, get it off!" Pacifica shouted.

She quickly jumped away from her hiding spot and shook her hand. At first, she wasn't fully aware that she had even shouted. She just wanted the spider off of her.

They all quickly made eye contact with each other. Dipper held Bill's hand tight as they stared at each other.

It was quiet.

No one made a sound. No one moved.

Mabel looked at Pacifica and didn't know what to say at first. Pacifica's thoughts were racing because she couldn't believe it.

So many questions entered her mind.

"W-We can explain," Dipper was the first one to break the silence.

Pacifica didn't speak.

"Pacifica?" Mabel mumbled.
"I don't know how, but I brought him back. He's been helping me learn how to control how to use my powers, he's helped me understand who I am. He has no plan into causing any trouble," Dipper told her, "Please, I'm begging you... don't tell Ford."

Pacifica noticed how Bill was slightly shaking. Was he afraid? She thought. The great Bill Cipher the king of demons was afraid.

She's never seen him afraid. She thought it was impossible. The fact that he was human now didn't confuse her.

"I knew he came back," Pacifica finally spoke, "I saw the Cipher wheel on your arm and I had Sammy cover it."
"Have you told anyone?" Mabel asked.
"I didn't tell anyone," Pacifica said, "I didn't know if I was going crazy. I didn't know how to bring it up... how long has he been here?"
"Almost the whole summer," Mabel answered, "He hasn't been hurting anyone. He hasn't even planned to even planned vengeance either. He only went into town like four times."
"Why am I not scared?" Pacifica blurred out.
Bill finally spoke, "Because I am. You've never seen me scared... I-I know that I've done so many bad things because I was angry and that isn't an excuse for what I did to the town. I don't deserve any forgiveness from anyone, but I'm sorry for everything, but your dad... he's an ass."

Pacifica was confused. He was apologizing and he acknowledged what he did was wrong. Who the fuck was he?

"I'm so fucking confused," Pacifica said.
"I know it's confusing," Mabel said, "If it helps... Stan knows now and recently."
"A little," Pacifica mumbled.
Dipper walked over to her, "Are you going to tell Ford?"
"No," Pacifica said.
Bill exhaled loudly and leaned against a tree, "Thank Satan himself."
"Unless he does anything to the town or you two," Pacifica said.
"That's fair," Bill said.
"I feel like I'm supposed to be angry," Pacifica said, "After everything that's happened, I'm not angry. Why does this make sense?"

Pacifica pointed at the three of them. Mabel, Dipper, and Bill were confused by that last comment.

"I don't understand," Bill muttered.
"Forget it," She sighed, "I just need everything to sink in. Fucking Christ."
"Pacifica," Mabel grabbed her hand, "Do you need to sit down?"
"No, I'm fine, am I?" Pacifica questioned, "This information will probably hit me tomorrow and then I'll call Mabel and panic about it then."

Bill kept his distance from her.

"What were you guys talking about before that spider went on me," She asked.
"Oh, Um," Dipper looked at Mabel, "Should we give her context because I feel like it'll be helpful."
"We have to or else she'll think we're going crazy."
"We can walk and talk," Dipper said.

Mabel walked beside Pacifica and Dipper was on the other side of her. Bill stayed next to Dipper as they walked and explained everything they knew so far.

Bill kept thinking it was risky that someone else knew about him. Especially since she works with Ford.

Pacifica kept looking at Bill from the corner of her eye. She couldn't trust him, but she did trust Mabel and Dipper.

"The book!" Dipper shouted.
"We're all right here," Pacifica said.
Dipper smiled, "Sorry."
"What about the book?" Bill asked.
He took the book out and flipped through the pages, "There was something that looked like the description I saw. It's right here."
"I know where it is," Pacifica told them, "Candy, Grenda, and I found it two years ago."
"Great!" Mabel said, "We can go there now."
"I don't know how to get to it from here," Pacifica explained, "But I do know that the tree species changes quickly. It goes pinetree to this purple-green tree."
"I know where that is from here," Bill said.

They all followed Bill and after a bit, they finally made it to where the normal trees meant the not-so-normal trees.

"Here we are," Bill smiled, "Now what?"
"I think it's this way," Pacifica said.

Everyone followed Pacifica. She tried her best to remember where it was. She noticed a familiar rock and realized where they were.

They noticed how the trees started to move as they walked closer to the location. Dipper held Bill's arm when he heard an odd sound.

"Look," Bill pointed out a clearing.
"The rocks should be there," Dipper said.

They all ran towards the clearing. The plant life invaded, but not too much.

"The last time I was here it wasn't this... green," Pacifica said.
"Let's explore," Mabel said.

They all went together just in case something bad happened. They walked around and when Bill and Dipper stepped on the stone the plant life started to disappear.

"Are the trees supposed to move?" Mabel asked.
"The trees didn't move last time," Pacifica said, "Why are they moving now?"

In the middle of the field, there was a smooth stone that connected to a large rock wall with six large boulders. There was a rock in the middle of the smooth rock floor. Bill and Dipper walked near the boulders while Pacifica and Mabel walked to the rock in the middle.

"I feel conflicted," Pacifica said.
"I'm not surprised," Mabel said, "Stan was the same when he found out."
"Was he okay with it?" Pacifica wanted to know.
"He was surprised how much he's changed," Mabel explained, "He was still going to watch him."

Pacifica watched his interaction with Dipper. It was sweet and loving.

"Did he really say that?" Pacifica asked.
"He did," Mabel answered.
"It's weird seeing him in this light," Pacifica told her.
"It's understandable," Mabel said, "Bill has done m bad things but he's accepted it. He knows that you'll probably won't forgive him. He understands that everything is going to need time and even with time some people won't forgive him. All he can do is wait and prove to others he's not a threat anymore."
"That was well said," Pacifica said.
"Thank you," Mabel said.
"Do you trust him?" Pacifica asked her.
"Yes, because he has protected us and has been honest with us since the beginning," Mabel said, "I also trust you with all my heart. I'm glad you know too especially what you told me before you left."
"I hope I didn't scare you," Pacifica mumbled.
"Not too much," Mabel awkwardly laughed, "I was confused at first until I connected the dots."

Mabel went to clean the rock while Pacifica kicked away what vines were on the floor. Everything was clean until they got near one side. There was an odd stain on one side of the floor.

Mabel didn't piece together that this was the same place where everyone went wrong. Where the bubble went wrong. Where Bill's life changed for the worse. They both stood in front of the stone and looked at each other.

"Do you think we'll find something today here?" She asked Mabel.
"Maybe."

Pacifica and Mabel both touched the smooth rock. Mabel felt something engraved and before she could read it her necklace glowed.

Mabel looked at Pacifica and she looked different. She was a bit taller, but now she was tall enough that Mabel had to look up. Her cheeks and neck had snake scales, she had fives connected to her hair, and, had fangs. She still had most of her blonde hair and her snakes were similar to her hair color.

"Mabel?" Pacifica said.

When Mabel blinked everything went back to normal.

"Is something on me?" Pacifica asked.

Mabel remembered something that she forgot to tell Dipper and Bill. Without thinking she kissed her cheek and placed her hands on them after.

"Your beautiful face made me remember something very important," Mabel said confidently.

Pacifica's face turned bright red. Her mind went blank when Mabel kissed her cheek but exploded when she called her face beautiful.

"Team meeting! Come on Pacifica," Mabel dragged her.

Dipper and Bill meet them halfway. The boys noticed Pacifica's expression. Bill was a little confused and thought she was in distress. Dipper knew what that face was.

"Yes, Mabel," Dipper said.
"Wait, Pacifica, you know those nets that Ford made," Mabel asked.
"W-What?" Pacifica wasn't listening.
"The nets that Ford made?" Mabel asked.
"Yeah," Pacifica asked.
"By any chance when you touched them did you get itchy?" Mabel asked and it was important to what she was going to explain.
"I would get a rash on my hands and they become itchy," Pacifica said, "Sometimes a slight burning feeling, why?"
"Okay," Mabel said, "Remember when the monster kept saying that monsters, demons, and humans lived together at one point?"
"Yes," Bill said.
"You were smiling when your theory was right," Dipper said.
"Wait what?" Pacifica said.
"Monsters, humans, and demons all lived together and some of them were mixed breeds," Dipper explained.
"Pacifica might be related to a monster," Mabel said, "I saw her in her monster form and she was beautiful."
"You saw it too?" Dipper blurted out.
"What? There's no way," Pacifica said, "I'm a human."
"When did you see it?" Mabel asked.
"When Sammy got sick," Dipper told her.
"Are you sure?" Pacifica asked.
"The net is some proof, but we won't be able to figure things out until we open the bubble," Dipper told her.
"There is a way," Bill told them, "By finding a creature similar to her and seeing if she doesn't die when talking to it."
"Sammy," Mabel said.
"Did he just follow you and didn't make it a struggle?" Dipper asked.
"No," Pacifica said.
"Maybe since Pacifica isn't in her monster form she can't understand Sammy," Dipper stated, "We just need to find a way to prove it."
"I thought Sammy said something once, but I thought I was sleepy," Pacifica said.
"That's something," Bill muttered.
"Did you see it just now?" Dipper asked Mabel.
"Yes, I was over there," Mabel pointed.

They all went to the stone and looked at it. Mabel's necklace started to glow again and everyone noticed.

"The stone in the middle," Dipper muttered, "The little hedgehog..."
"We never told them about that," Bill reminded Dipper.
"When the moon is in the sky and there are grass and stone with rocks around and a rock in the middle," Dipper just said what it was in his mind, "The instruction of the ceremony written on the rocks!"

Dipper noticed writing on the wall that was a few feet behind the middle stone. Dipper pulled Bill near the wall and Mabel slowly started to connect why this place was familiar. Pacifica noticed how Mabel quickly went on her knees as her fingertips touched the ground and traced her hands around the stain. She looked up at Bill and he truly had no memory of what happened. Not even a hunch about it.

Should she tell him now? Then she remembered what the creature said her actions will have a reaction. Pacifica knew that there was something wrong and joined her on the floor while touching her shoulders.

Pacifica whispered, "Is something bothering you?"
"What if I told you that Bill made this bubble to protect the monsters and demons," Mabel whispered, "That he fought in a war human's started to kill everything that wasn't normal? They made the bubble and something went wrong."
"Mabel," Pacifica muttered, "What do you mean they?"
"He isn't strong enough to make a bubble that wouldn't let humans in, but monsters and demons could leave freely whenever they wanted," Mabel explained, "He loved someone and he was as strong as him, but he was killed while making the bubble."
"What does that stain have to do with that?" Pacifica asked, "Does he know?"
"He was killed by a human while making the bubble and it messed everything up. It took all of the magic from everything and placed it in Gravity falls, but when it happened... Bill saw the love of his life die and they were both so sweet. Bill protected everything and everyone but when he died he lost it. He never got to fully grieve since his memory was erased about everything that happened and even before. That's why he was angry and since he didn't know everything just fell apart."
"Mabel, does your brother even know?" She asked her.
"No," Mabel told her, "I went to a creature that knew about the past and future."
"He wasn't always an ass?" Pacifica blurred out, "Today has been a day."
"Mabel! Pacifica! We found instructions!" Bill shouted, "Come here, please!"
"We're coming!" Pacifica shouted.
"Everything is true," Mabel said.
"We can do this together and I believe you," Pacifica told her, "Every word you said today. Let's go see what they found and I'm willing to follow you to whatever happens."

Pacifica pulled Mabel up and they both walked over to the boys. Dipper pointed at the rocks and they saw instructions.

"We have everything we need!" Dipper cheered.
"We can do it, but we can't do it now since the moon isn't in the sky," Bill said.
"That's great!" Mabel smiled.
"Guys," Pacifica said, "There is more writing over there."
"It's probably more details," Dipper said.

They went to it.

"I can't read it," Bill said.
"I'm not trying," Mabel said, "It looks confusing."
Sammy hissed and Pacifica looked at it, "You must do it when the moon is in the day, you must stand across from another, you have both be in good health."

Everyone gasped when she read it.

"In good health means no one can be harmed physically," Pacifica read.
"Pacifica can read it," Mabel said.
"Pacifica can read it," Dipper said.
"Why are you repeating what your sister said?" Bill asked.
"Do you know what this means?" Dipper said.
"Hiss," Sammy said.
"Yes!" Dipper said.
"What did he say?" Mabel asked.
"I was about to read it because only people with monster blood can read it," Dipper said, "Sammy just said it."
"Mabel was right about Pacific," Bill said.
"Holy shit," Pacifica said, "I shouldn't be learning this much information in a day."
"You seem calmer than a human should be about stuff like this," Bill said not knowing if it was okay for him to say that to her.
"I am freaking out on the inside, because for my whole life I've been taught I am a human, and I had no reason to believe that I wasn't," Pacifica explained.
"You're not the only one who thought that panic so you'll get used to it," Dipper smiled.
"I forgot you went through that," Pacifica looked at him.
"It's alright," Dipper told her.
"Oh my gosh," Mabel said, "We've finally solved it!"
"We did?" Pacifica questioned since she just became a part of it, "I feel like I was barely any help."
"I mean without you we wouldn't have any proof about Mabel's theory," Dipper told her.

Mabel hugged Pacifica and cheered. Dipper smiled at Bill, but it quickly disappeared.

"Sapling?" Bill questioned.
"Dippin dots?" Mabel said.
Dipper placed his hand on Bill's cheek tracing his thumb against his cheek under where his eye used to be, "W-We can't do it."
"What do you mean we can't?" Pacifica said, "You guys solved it. You can fix everything."
"He's not in perfect physical health," Dipper wanted to cry, "His eye is missing meaning that he is not in perfect health. I caused it and now everything we've done is fucking useless."
Bill hugged Dipper and kissed the top of his head, "We can find a way."
"He had another eye?" Pacifica questioned, "I thought he would only have one because his triangle form only had one eye."
"He had another eye until he sacrificed it to save Dipper's life," Mabel explained.
"For a monster that I created," Dipper's muffled voice added.
"I can't heal it," Bill mumbled.

They were all in defeat. Everything that they have done and gone through was useless.

Even when Pacifica, just joined them she still had an impact. Being kind to Dipper and spending time with him, since she was the only one that showed interest in the monsters and protecting them. Keeping the secret about the purse marks, even when she didn't know what was going on. Protecting her monster companion.

She still felt that defeat. Bill, Mabel, and Dipper were giving up so easily. Bill felt slightly ashamed because he couldn't heal himself. In all powerful demon can't bring back as own eye.

"We can't give up!" Pacifica shouted, " You've all done so much and we can't have it end here. There has to be something."
"I've tried so many times to heal my eye but nothing has worked so far," Bill said.
"There has to be something that can heal you. Like, a magic place or the same monster I took away the eye," Pacifica said.
"The pond!" Mabel shouted, "It's a magic pond that can heal people and it shows up when someone needs it most."
"Do we need to summon the pond?" Bill asked.
"There are two conditions and I already said one of them," Mabel explained, "Or people that are worthy."
"You know damn well that I am not worthy of that pond, especially what I've done," Bill told Mabel.
"Shit," Mabel said.

Dipper looked at Bill and then at the girls.

"This might sound crazy, but what if I talk to birds skull?" Dipper suggested, "What if I can convince him to give back the eye?"
"I signed an agreement I don't think it's gonna work," Bill said, "He seems like the type of power representation to not break a contract."
"That's too risky! It would mean that Dipper would have to die. It was an exchange and if you take it back and we might lose him, defeating the whole purpose of it," Mabel said.
"That's true," Dipper muttered.
"Maybe another day we can look through the book I found the pond in," Mabel said, " we can meet up again. I'm gonna look at it to see if I missed something. We can probably find a loophole if we looked hard enough."
"Yeah," Pacifica said, " I can probably ask my dad to talk to an astrologist and ask when the moon is out during the daytime. Does it have to be a full moon or doesn't it matter?"
"It doesn't say on the wall," Dipper said.
"The little hedgehog said it has to be full," Bill said.
"Got it," Pacifica wrote it in her phone.
"We should probably get going it's getting dark," Mabel said.
"We should add Pacifica to the Phone group thing," Bill said, " I don't remember what you guys called it."
"A group chat?" Pacifica said, "When did you get a cell phone?"
"I may have permanently borrowed it, and I use my powers to charge it and make it work because apparently, you have to pay for that," Bill explained, "This is the only thing I have stolen besides clothes."
"Yes, we should add her," Mabel said.

Bill teleported everyone close enough to the shack.

"Do you want a ride home?" Mabel asked.
"I'll walk," Pacifica said.
"Goodbye Sapling," Bill kissed his cheek.
"Bye Bill," Dipper hugged him.
"Bye Mabel," Pacifica smiled.
"Bye," Mabel waved.

The twins left and Bill was about to leave when Pacifica stopped him. Sammy hissed and Pacifica took a deep breath.

"I forgive you," She said.
"What?" Bill's eyes widen.

After what Mabel told her she knew understood him more. She knew that it was impulsive to forgive him so quickly, but it was in her mind.

"I forgive you," She repeated, "Don't make me say it again."
"I thought that it took humans more time to forget someone," Bill said, "Especially everything I did. I hurt so many people."
"I know it's not equivalent, but I was a spoiled brat when I was younger. I was mad at the world because my parents wouldn't love me and I was told what to do with my whole life. I guess I see myself in you in a way. This is probably impulsive but I understand what it's like to hurt people around you," Pacifica said, "Because after everything people forgave me in a second, I was just as confused. I can tell how much you've changed because of the way you look at Dipper. The way you and Mabel are so close and how she trusts you with all her heart."
"..." He was in shock.

Pacifica couldn't tell him what Mabel told her about his past but it did affect what she saw in him.

"After everything I've done Mabel still wants to be around me. I don't know if you had a moment like that with him but I get it if you have. I thought that I should return that forgiveness," She told him.
"I don't know what to say," Bill said.
"It's okay if you get confused because that was me," Pacifica said.
"Thank you," Bill said as he played with his sleeve, "I know from human movies that it will take time for you to be comfortable with me even when you have forgiven me. I don't know if the human movies are right because Sapling told me not to believe them fully."
"He's right, you shouldn't believe human movies but sometimes they can help," Pacifica said, "You are right about the comfort. I think as we spend more time together and as we build trust I could get comfortable with you."
"Okay," Bill said, "I would like to get to know you as you."
"Me too," Pacifica said.

The two stood there in awkward silence not knowing what to do after this. Both of them were really awkward. What they didn't know was they were both very bad at expressing emotions. This was the most vulnerable they have been with someone that they weren't comfortable with.

Bill broke the silence, " What do we do after this? Do we shake hands? Do we just leave? Do I drop you off home?"

Pacifica started to laugh. She couldn't help it. Bill was confused.

"I don't know either," Pacifica chuckled.
"Am I allowed to laugh?" Bill asked.
"You can if you want because some humans laugh when they're nervous or awkward," Pacifica told him.

They both looked at each other and laughed. Pacifica knew that she was going to process all tomorrow. Right now, she was enjoying the fact that Bill didn't know how to process anything about human emotion. He was like a child in her eyes. Not knowing if something was okay and asking for permission.

"Let's do this," Pacifica held out her hand, "Hello, my name is Pacifica Northwest."
Bill shook her hand, "Hello, my name is Bill Alcor Cipher."
"Do you have a middle name?" Pacifica shook back, "That was a little unexpected."
"No one knows by Mabel and Pinetree," Bill told her.
"As a start," Pacifica said, "You can drop me off near my house or in the garden behind the bushes because my parents think I'm home."
"Okay," Bill said.
