Dipper's Adventure
Third Person
Dipper was in his room relaxing until he got bored of being in the house. He had already read the books from his bookshelf and had no one to talk to in his room.
"I wonder if Mabel is back yet," Dipper mumbled.
Stan assumed that Dipper was with Mabel so he didn't bother checking upstairs. Dipper sneaked downstairs to Mabel's room to see if she was there.
"She isn't here yet," Dipper muttered, "I wonder how long she will take."
Dipper sat on her bed and hugged one of her stuffed animals. He looked at Mabel's dry erase board. What if I summon Bill? Dipper thought.
Dipper knew that it was risky since he was on the ground floor and not the attic. Dipper went over to the board and started to draw the cipher wheel.
Dipper was about to finish until he stared at his arm. He still hasn't told anyone about his cipher mark. Dipper has been thinking about telling Bill and Mabel, but every time he does he doesn't.
"Entangulum meteforis dominus ventium," Dipper whispered.
The board glowed and Bill appeared. He wasn't small like last time disappointing Dipper a bit. He erased the board quickly.
"Hey, Pinetree," Bill smiled.
"Bill," Dipper smiled and hugged Bill.
Bill accepted the embrace and held Dipper. He started to stroke Dipper's hair and smile at him.
"Why are we in Shooting star's room?" Bill asked.
"Let's go to my room," Dipper smiled.
"Alright," Bill smiled.
Bill teleported the both of them to Dipper's room. Bill sat on his bed and Dipper locked the door. Bill smiled softly as Dipper crawled next to him.
"We were in Mabel's room because she had a dry and erase board and I could just erase the evidence of summoning you," Dipper smiled.
"That's smart," Bill smiled softly.
Dipper turned on his TV so they could watch stupid horror movies. They both started to talk about random things and completely ignored the movie at that point.
Bill slowly stopped talking and just watched Dipper talk. Bill couldn't help but look at the scar that Ford caused. Dipper felt Bill's hand cup his cheek. His thumb brushed against his cheekbone where his scar ended.
"I'm sorry that I couldn't save you," Bill muttered.
Dipper was quiet for a bit before whispering, "This wasn't your fault."
"It is my fault because if I wasn't such a horrible person then he wouldn't have set up those traps," Bill said, "Everything I did made those traps exist..."
"That's not true," Dipper told him, "You may be one of the reasons he made those traps, but he uses them for other things too. He traps and hurts other things that are monsters or demons."
"I'm still one of those reasons why you got hurt," Bill told him.
"Ford is just an asshole half the time. He doesn't like me one bit and he doesn't feel bad about hurting me. He has been told several times about those nets and he still uses them," Dipper explained, "At that point... He's the one hurting me and not you."
"I could have saved you," Bill said.
Dipper asked him softly, "How?"
"I-I don't know how, but there was a way. I should have been there," Bill said, "I-I should have known. When I first saw your scar I was scared. What if Ford's net killed you?"
Dipper had never thought about that, "But I didn't."
"What if you did? What if that was the last time I saw you and Shooting star had to tell me that you passed away? I would never forgive myself if you left me... especially when I could have done something," Bill said, "I-I could have done something to save you. When I saw that scar I felt like everything was being taken away from me in a matter of seconds. I feel like I've already lost so much and I-I can't lose you too."
"Bill, you can't always know when things are going to happen," Dipper moved closer to Bill, "All we can ever hope is for us to be okay..."
Bill's eyes widen as he felt Dipper hug him. He felt his breath on the crook of his neck, his soft hands on his neck, and slowly cupping his cheek.
"I would rather have a few scars than lose you," Dipper told him, "If you were there then Ford would have seen you and killed you right in front of me... I would be really sad if you left me especially if we never got to say goodbye."
Tears started to roll down Bill's face. Dipper wiped away his tears and apologized for picturing that situation.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. We have a lifetime together." Dipper said.
"I didn't realize my eyes were leaking..." Bill muttered.
"You mean crying?" Dipper asked.
"I like my way better," Bill mumbled, "I'm not sad..."
"Then why are your eyes leaking?" Dipper asked.
"I don't know..." Bill mumbled.
"Why don't we do something fun," Dipper suggested, "We can go where ever you want."
"I have an idea," Bill said, "It involves leaving this realm," Bill said.
"I'll put on my shoes," Dipper smiled.
After preparing the two went on their adventure to a different world. When they arrived Bill wanted to show him all of his favorite places.
Dipper got to see things that could only be possible in his dreams. The different colored landscapes, gravity behaving differently, and creatures that he couldn't even imagine.
"Everything looks so pretty," Dipper smiled.
"It does," Bill looked at Dipper.
"Where are we going?" Dipper asked him.
"You'll see," Bill smiled.
Bill held Dipper's hand and lead him to the forest. He explained how sometimes the trees would sing when they think that the mood was right. Dipper asked everything that he could think of about this place.
Bill explained that there were fruits that Dipper could eat without having negative side effects. Dipper was curious about the fruit and wanted to have some.
There was a clearing in the woods and bubbles were floating everywhere. Dipper reached out and touched one of them expecting it to pop. Nothing happened. It just started to float in a different direction.
"They don't pop?" Dipper questioned.
"They do," Bill said, "But not so easily."
"Does anything happen when we pop them?" Dipper asked.
"I don't remember what happens," Bill mumbled, "It's been a while since popping them is a two-man job even with demon powers."
"So, we have to rely on physical strength?" Dipper asked.
"Yes," Bill answered, "Sometimes I just sit on them."
Dipper raced into the field of bubbles and Bill followed along. Dipper jumped on one but he bounced him back to the ground. Bill chuckled and helped Dipper off of the ground. He was now determined to pop one of them and sit on one without falling.
Bill aided in Dipper's mission. Bill was a little worried since the bubble can float away with Dipper. Unfortunately, Dipper didn't realize that the bubble could take him away.
Dipper was floating away and froze since he was afraid of heights, "BILL!"
"I look away for a second!" Bill went to save Dipper.
Dipper hugged him tight even when they were on the ground, "Are you sure we're on the ground?"
"I didn't know you were afraid of heights Pinetree," Bill said.
"Yes, and I'm terrified," Dipper muttered.
"Sapling, we're on the ground," Bill said.
"You sure?" Dipper asked.
"Yes, Sapling," Bill chuckled, "We're on the ground."
"We're not just on a bubble?" Dipper asked.
"We're on the ground," Bill smiled, "You can open your eyes and see."
Dipper opened his eyes, "Oh."
Bill started to laugh, "Sapling."
Dipper blushed, "It's not funny!"
Bill placed his forehead on his forehead, "A little."
Dipper pouted, "No."
"Sapling," Bill smiled, "I wouldn't let the bubble take you."
"You promise," Dipper mumbled.
"Yes," Bill said, "Do you want to try and pop one?"
"Yes," Dipper smiled.
Bill and Dipper grabbed a bubble and started to aggressively push it together on opposite sides. They tried for a good twenty minutes and nothing happened.
Bill grabbed a random sharp rock and started to stab it. Dipper suggested that they needed two sharp rocks. They both started to stab it and nothing happened.
Then they used the sharp rock and push on the bubble. It still didn't pop. After trying everything they could think up they both gave up. They leaned against one of the bubbles and looked at the others floating away.
"I didn't think it would be that hard," Dipper said, "Are you sure they can be popped?""I know you can pop them," Bill said, "I've done it before but I can't remember how."
"I think the bubbles just hate us," Dipper pouted.
"We'll think of a way," Bill smiled.
Dipper felt Bill's pinky wrap around his, "Of course, we will."
The two looked at each other and smiled softly. Suddenly the bubble popped and small glowing specks of light came out.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!" Dipper shouted.
Dipper was very upset that the bubble popped and they weren't putting any weight on it. Bill moved Dipper's hair and noticed the birthmark.
"Are you finished being upset?" Bill asked him.
"Not yet," Dipper pouted placing his forehead on Bill's chest.
"It's okay," Bill smiled.
Dipper looked up at Bill, "All that effort and we barely touched it and that's when it popped."
"At least we know what's inside the bubble now," Bill smiled.
"I guess," Dipper muttered.
"They remind me of little stars," Bill told him.
Dipper looked at the few specks that were left, "They do..."
"They remind me of you," Bill mumbled.
Dipper's face turned a light shade of red as he stared at Bill, "Wh-What should we do now?"
"I should take you home," Bill told him, "We don't want Fez to realize that you're gone."
"I don't want to leave yet," Dipper wrapped his arms around Bill, "I want to stay here with you."
"I've figured out how to text on this," Bill pulled out the phone he borrowed, "Shooting Star taught me... I also figured out how to give it signal."
"Okay," Dipper mumbled.
Bill teleported the both of them to Dipper's room. He gave Dipper a long loving embrace. Bill unconsciously kissed the top of his head before saying goodbye.
"I'll see you later, Sapling," Bill smiled at him.
"Bye Bill," Dipper smiled back.
Dipper knew that he had to let go and when he did it broke his heart. He didn't feel like they spent enough time together. Bill said goodbye again and left.
Dipper took off his shoes and sat on his bed. He hugged his knees as he thought about Bill. His cheeks were a soft red when he realized that his birthmark was showing but also that Bill kissed his head.
Dipper saw a small basket appear on his bed filled with random fruits, "I forgot about these..."
Dipper grabbed the basket and placed it on his dresser. He took a bite of the fruit and smiled softly. He finished the fruit and started to play with the necklace that Bill gave him.
He heard a soft knock on his door and went to go open it.
He saw his sister and smiled, "Hey Mabel."
Mabel smiled at him and asked, "Do you wanna watch a movie?"
"Sure, in my room or mine?" Dipper asked.
"Yours," Mabel told him.
The two went to his bed and started to watch a movie. As they watched the movie peacefully Dipper felt Mabel hug him.
"I love you Dipper."
"I love you too, Mabel."
