Now as the rest of remaining contestants got back, Midnight explained that the first 42 people are able to pass to the second round:

This year was a Calvary Battle, meaning they had to select teams in Bo-Taoshi!

"Those of you who placed in the top 42 from this qualifying round will move on!” Midnight yelled out an excited look on her face. “Anyone who placed lower should not worry because we have a way for you to show your stuff! Now to explain this course!”

"Participants will, on their own, form teams of four people,” Midnight said explaining how this would go. “The rules are that you must defend while also attacking other poles to bring them down. You will be ranked by a whole. However, there is one crucial difference than in normal Bo-taoshi battles, where normally there is only two groups we will be having a total of five, and to make it more interesting we have put a price on the head of each group. As your taking down a pole you are allowed to grab for a flag that will be added to your number and in the end the two groups who have the highest points win! You will be ranked individually by what place you arrived in, and then in your group your point value will add up to a total of everyone in your group.”

'Sounds like when my ancestors had bounties. This should be fun.' Izuku smiled.

"Your individual point values start at five, at the bottom! So the student who took fortieth place is worth five points, thirty-ninth is worth ten, get it? Though there’s a twist! Watch out first place because your worth ten million points! And since we have a tie at first place this year, both Midoriya and Khonsu have ten million on their heads!” Midnight announced as all eyes were on the duo.

But neither of them looked afraid.

As people broke into teams, Izuku and Celestine decided to stick together, found themselves with Tokoyami, and a girl from the support course, Hatsumi.

Izuku also decided to have Celestine be the mount, with her bandana on.

Soon the teams were decided......

It was every man for himself....

But Celestine was prepared.

Begin!

"Alright! Summon! Gem Knights Crystal and Obsidian!" She summoned the crystallized warriors as they defended Celestine's Team.

She also summoned Amber, Quartz and Alexandrite as she was getting the pieces in play.

"Alright, now for this moment! I fuse Crystal, Obsidian and Amber to summon Master Diamond Dispersion and then fuse Quartz with Alexandrite to summon Cairngorgon, Antiluminescent Knight!" Celestine said as the the two big Knights, one covered in Diamonds and the other looked like a Frankenstein monster knight.

"Holy...!"

"The heck?!"

"I didn't know she could do that!"

"How are we supposed to fight those giants?!"

"Charge them!" Bakugou said, only for Cairngorgon to deflect the attack and send it to Team Rin, knocking them out.

And even worse, Master Diamond Dispersion had rallied more knights: Topaz, Prismura, and Ruby.

Naturally, the weaker teams had a tough time with the knights.

When Bakugou was about to get near, Izuku was ready for him...

"Gum Gum......Stomp!" He kicked his leg hitting Bakugou square in the face, knocking him off.

Todoroki would have gotten close too, if it weren't for Celestine summoning Gem Knight Citrine who countered the ice with his fire.

"Time's Up!" Midnight announced.

Only teams remaining were

Khonsu, Bakugou, Hitoshi, and Tetsutetsu.

Heroes were amazed at the display.

"Quite an interesting crop this year."

"Whoa! Did you see that?! She summoned actual knights from Gems!" Mt Lady asked.

"I'd say. She practically played them like a kitten with a ball of yarn." Kamui Woods said.

"That's a terrifying power to have, along with everything else she could do. We should be grateful she's not becoming a villian." Death Arms said.

"I'd have to admit, she's tricky, but I find it entertaining." Hawks said to his Sidekicks.

"Hahaha, I like this one, she's gutsy!" Ms. Joke laughed.

"How interesting..." Uwabami smirked.

"Playing with her opponent, then striking once their guard is down, very clever." Edgeshot commented.

"I've barely seen an aspiring heroine perform such feats as smooth as silk." Best Jeanist remarked.

"It's official. I want her as a sidekick!" Toy-Toy smiled.

"Midoriya ain't bad either. His Rubber quirk is very versatile, he's obviously training with it." Ryukuu said.

"Anyone that could take down Zero Pointers like that are OK in my book." Mirko smirked.

"Indeed. With the power those two have, they should come with a warning label." Gang Orca said.

A certain flame hero just watches as Izuku and Celestine congratulated each other and their teammates.
