*Chapter Nine: Bad boy scout! No kissing allowed!*
I woke up to the sound of snoring and the soft rustling of the trees. The forest was so quiet in the morning, why didn't I want to be a girl scout again? Anyway, to keep the peacefulness of the early morning, I looked up to derrick to wake him up.
"Derrick you're-"
I don't even know how this happened...but I was sleeping on Derrick's chest, and he was pulling me close to him. He was actually really really comfortable, I almost feel back asleep. Sadly my body told me to wake him...(Damn it just let me sleep on him...please? He's just too damn sexy to pass this up!)
"Derrick, Derrick wake up." I finally said as I shook him slightly.
"...Huh? Christina?... why did you wake me?" He yawned.
"Well you were snoring...more importantly, why are you holding me?" My voice softened as my cheeks grew hot with embarrassment.
"Sorry! I'm so used to holding my sister when she gets scared at night."
His cheeks were so red and hot that he couldn't get the next words out of his mouth. My heart skipped a beat as he looked into my eyes.
"But...but if its okay with you...will you...can we stay like this for...a little longer?"
I was shocked that he said that, but the words left my mouth before I noticed I said them.
"Sure I guess so...I-I mean yes."
I laid my head back down on his chest and I listened to his heartbeat. He was comfortable and welcoming, just like Joseph...
Tears started to roll slowly down my cheeks as I remembered Joseph, I really hoped that he was alright, he has nothing to do with this whole kidnapping business.
I grabbed Derrick shirt as I stared crying again. I feel sorry for acting like a cry baby this whole time, I'm supposed to be strong...Joseph is worried sick about me and I'm supposed to be the older, stronger big sister.
"Christina? Don't cry, I'm going to get you home, I promise. I won't let anything happen to you."
Derrick said to comfort me. He wiped away my tears and squeezed me tightly. He actually made me feel so much better. I leaned my head closer to ask a burning question.
"Derrick...how can you care for me so much...even though you just met me?"
"...Because...b-because...uhh..."
His face was red even though he tried to hide it. It made him look cute. I looked at him with a sly smile on my face. I think I knew exactly what he was trying to say.
"Awww is Derrick struck by L-O-V-E? He can't resist the sexyness of Christina!"
I batted my eyelashes at him and acted like an actress who was in love with herself. His face was priceless!
"Ha ha very funny Christina. My mom and I help at the homeless shelter a lot so we help anyone with open arms. That's why I care for you so much even though I just met you...plus...you are kinda cute."
I could tell that he wasn't kidding...about the part of me being kinda cute...he might actually like me...(Ahh! Christina! get it together! This isn't the time to think about that!)
I laid my head back down on Derrick's chest to get some more sleep. It must be about 5 or 6 am, it's too early for me to get up...but I can't sleep like this...In Derrick's arms...Derrick's warm, welcoming arms...while his warm, muscular body caresses mine...okay okay! I'll stay!
Derrick squeezed me again and I blushed, I actually liked it when he did that. He made me forget about being sad and...his charm was growing on me, he was handsome...but I gotta focus, finding a way back to Joseph is my number one priority, along with finding out why that guy kidnapped us.
******************************
Judging by the warm shining sun bring heat in our tent, it was probably around 9 or 10 am. I opened my eyes to see Derrick's sleeping face, and he was still holding me. When I sat myself up slowly enough not to wake up Derrick, I noticed that I'm still in my sleeping bag...Derrick left his to sleeping bag with me. How the heck did that happen? Something is fishy here...
"Morning sunshine!" I chirped as Derrick woke up.
"Morning, why are you up so early?"
"Well why did you leave YOUR sleeping bag to sleep with ME in mine? Hmm? You're not telling me something." I feel like my mother trying to get info out of Joseph.
Derrick sat up and looked at his sleeping bag and then back at mine.
" ...Alright I'll tell you...you were shivering and talking in your sleep. Then you started crying and I couldn't resist making you feel better. You see...crying girls are my weakness."
"Well, I guess it's fine this time...but we have got to move, let's see if we can find a cabin or something."
I climbed out of my sleeping bag and crawled outside of the tent. The bright warm sun felt good on my warm skin, the forest was so vast, but I could just make out a lake that was far off in the distance. (I could go swimming! But I don't have a swim suit...damn it...)
"Hey Derrick?" My curiosity questioned, "Can we venture forth to that small body of water over there?"
"Sure...after you help me roll up these sleeping bags." He replied as he poked his head out of the tent.
I peeked into the tend and observed his progress. He looked like he was having some issues...let me rephrase that, he was having many issues. I'm not sure if he has ever rolled up a sleeping bag before. The bag was falling out of the perfect sushi roll shape, he wasn't using enough strength to push down on the bag, and he started on the wrong side! Now I had to help him.
"Let me take over." I insisted.
Derrick moved aside and looked exhausted. It's not that hard to roll up a sleeping bag. I undid his is failed attempt to roll up a sleeping bag and laid it out nicely. My hands pulled the bag to where the opening was facing me, made sure it was zipped up, and folded it in half (long ways) Then I grabbed the top and started to roll it. Pressing hard enough to keep the perfect sushi roll shape going, I pulled it towards me to keep it from running away from me. Lastly, I put it between my legs and sat on it. The string and hook were lightly pulled together as my masterpiece was finished. Now I just need the sleeping bag's own little bag to put it in.
"See that Derrick? It's not that hard." I teased.
"Don't judge" He replied.
Derrick brought over the sack (the bags were confusing) and I stuffed the sleeping bag into it. We had issues using team work but we got it in the sack eventually. He tightened the string and put it aside as I laid back in the tent. The breeze that was coming into the tent and was very enjoyable. I could just lay here forever.
"You know we have to one more right?" Derrick said, interrupting my peaceful moment.
"I don't wanna! You do it this time." I whined. I did do the first one after all. He should do the second one!
"Can you please do it? As you can tell, I wasn't a very good boy scout, I can't even roll a sleeping bag. Can you show me?"
"I just did!", I protested as I sat up. "That one is yours anyway."
He sighed and a sly smile appeared on his face. I hope he's not going to do something weird to me. But if he kisses me...no he would never to that. He could have a girlfriend for all I know...but he slept with me...and held me...no it can't be. Ahh! what am I thinking! I can't let my guard down!
"I guess I have no choice!" He playfully yelled.
He crawled over to me and started tickling my sides. He caught me off guard! I kept laughing as I tried to make him stop, but he's like a pro tickler ha ha I can't move!
"Will you roll it now?" He questioned as he sat on me.
"Never!" I replied as I tried to catch my breath.
He would stop tickling me so I could catch my breath, but every time I tried to tell him to stop he would start back up again. His fingers moved up and down my sides and across my stomach, I could tell that he really was enjoying torching me.
"Derrick...st- sto- ple- Derrick!"
That's all that I could say before laughing harder. My silent laugh wanted to join the party so Derrick stopped to let me catch my breath. It took me a while to find my voice after all that laughter, I should keep note of his tickling abilities.
When my focus returned, I realized that Derrick was sitting on me, like really sitting on my body. How did I let this happen?!
I also realized the way that Derrick was looking at me, His eyes were looking straight into mine. His warm Chocolate brown eyes looked deep into mine, I think my heart skipped a beat.
He leaned forward until his hands were level with my shoulders. Then I noticed how I was laying, My arms were open and my hands were next to my head. My breasts were very vulnerable at this point...but I couldn't move. His eyes were level with mine now and he was on top of me. Derrick grabbed both of my wrists and slightly squeezed them, normally I would scream at this point but something tells me that he's not going to hurt me.
"D-Derrick..." I sputtered.
His face was getting closer, my heart was beating fast and my thoughts were scattered. His eyes looked at my lips as his cheeks started to turn red. My heart beat faster and my body grew hot, his was inches away from my lips.
"D-Der--"
Is all I could say as his soft lips pressed against mine. Every part of my body was hot and I still couldn't move. I closed my eyes and kissed him back, It felt amazing to kiss him, to feel his touch, and to feel his body pressed against mine. I never want this feeling to end...
