I was a droplet of water living in the sea
Surrounded by many like me.

Browsing through life, I used to wander.
For there was a pleasure that I got  in my pathless way.
I saw the birds dancing beneath the stars,
And  I felt the force of nature.

Everywhere I went I kept falling for it.
The woods grew dark and deep.
And so did the mountains.

I wept under the dark sky
While the stars narrated their stories.
Their echoes brought joy
And soon I reached the shore  with tides
All coming and going.
But I refused to be a partof its ladder
I tried
I tried each day to become
Another step of my own ladder.

But then the cruel winds swept across me.
And the tied clinged over washing me in it's own water.
It clinged, it griped and hanged up there in the air.
Empathising, I watched hoping for another day.
But soon it separated my parts on the way.
