14 - Jungkook
"How's school?" Jungkook called you on skype the next day, which was sadly only Thursday.
"It's boring," you shrugged, picking at the mustard colored thread of the skirt. You hadn't bothered to get dressed in something more comfortable, besides, Jungkook had called you right when you got home.
"Makes sense," he shrugged, giving you an adorable bunny smile. "Shame we have four more years left."
"Yeah, yeah. But education is important," you sighed, "but is it worth it?"
"What do you mean? Did you have a bad day?" Jungkook noticed the noticeable bruise on your right cheekbone along with a slightly busted lip.
"Nah," you shrugged, turning away from the camera. "Nothing I can't handle."
"Tell me what happened," he simply said, opening a bag of seaweed chips.
"I'm going to put on some more comfortable clothing and warm up some leftovers," you dodged him and left the computer unattended.
When you got back, now in sweats and a big tee with a bowl of rice and chicken, Jungkook looked annoyed. It annoyed him more when he noticed you had used makeup to cover the wounds.
"Will you tell me now?" He asked, then stuffed a seaweed chip in his mouth.
"Fine..." you closed your eyes, gently rubbing off the makeup. "It started this morning. Before class started, I was shoved against this group of lockers-" and before you knew it, you were telling him the whole story.
______________
You were simply walking to your class, ignoring your bullies that seemed to always find your weak points. They must of noticed your glumness today, and must've known what exactly was wrong. It wasn't a secret that you lived with BTS, or that you used to date Jungkook, so that was foundation for all of it.
"Aw, missing them already?" A harsh whisper snickered as you were chucked against a locker. Your spine hit the handle and lock and you whimpered as it dug into the special set of bones.
"Missing who?" You growled back, flailing against the girl until her and her friends managed to hold you down.
"You know, if you're ever needing another boy toy, I know someone who'd love to be with you," the girl cackled.
"Let me go," you managed to free one of your arms to grip her hair and pull, hard. She squeaked in pain and threw a fist. It connected with your cheek, right under your eye.
"I could do so much worse," she threatened, fixing her hair.
"Oh really? Would you like me to remind you that I live with seven boys, who all work out?" You drawled. "It's just natural that we wrestle."
She jutted her bottom lip out in jealousy, throwing another fist with a snarl. This time it hit your lip and you could feel the swelling immediately.
"Oh, pardon. Was I not supposed to remind you that I lived with BTS?" You asked innocently, spitting some blood at her. Your lip had gotten snagged on a tooth, tearing the flesh slightly. Now your whole mouth tasted like metal.
"Je-hiuah, have her all you want," she kicked your ankles, making you fall with a yelp. It wasn't long before a boy came out of the shadows and hovered over you. Thankfully some teachers found you and helped you out of the situation.
_________
"I feel like this is my fault," Jungkook muttered, gaze staring off at nothing.
"It's not," you reassured. "I could've gotten a worse beating."
"Listen, if we weren't on tour, I'd definitely stand up for you in a heart beat. No one has the right to hurt you," he blinked, focus resting back on you.
"Only two more months," you giggled shallowly.
"That reminds me... have you thought about the question?" He asked, red burning into his cheeks.
"Mhm," you nodded, taking a bite of your dinner.
"Really?" His gaze brightened, staring at you with wide and anxious eyes.
"Mhm, you repeated, nodding. When you swallowed, you put the half full bowl aside for a moment. "And I think I made a good choice, but I must know something first."
"Yes?" He didn't care, wanting to hear the lucky winner. Him or Yoongi. His gut clenched with jealousy at the thought of how Yoongi had you in his hands like putty.
"How are you and Taehyung doing?" Your eyes darkened.
"I told him my feelings for you," Jungkook replied confidently. "I told him that I realized I didn't have the same feelings that he had for me and ended it."
"Oh, I hope that doesn't ruin Bangtan," you hummed, eyes flickering towards your food.
"So, can I know your choice?"
"You- I-It's you," you stammered and looked back at him, noticing the way his eyes glimmer happily.
