I stood waiting with my family and friends when the feeling got stronger. The closer they got towards the entrance of the realm I assumed. And this feeling I felt meant one thing and it got me antsy inside. It made me want to rush towards them and just embrace them in my arms.

"Brother what's wrong?" Izzy asked

"I feel what your feeling" Jace said

"But it can't be true right?" I asked

"What?" Jax asked

"Jax it's been a while" a beautiful voice said

It was a girl she was stunning and I couldn't keep my eyes off her. I wanted to hug her, kiss her and have her in my arms forever.

"Trinity it's good to see you" Jax said and when he hugged her I felt myself grow angry

Trinitys POV

The closer I got the more the feeling grew and the moment I stepped out into the New York streets I knew. I knew what the feeling was but for who I couldn't tell just yet. I saw four people two that looked like siblings then Jax and another blond guy. Where was Adam in all this I didn't know but part of em didn't care either. Adam was a petty person and a shitty shadowhunter at best.

"Jax it's been a while" I said and went to hug him

I felt eyes glaring into the back of my head that felt angry and jealous.

"Trinity it's good to see you" Jax said and hugged back

"No Adam?" I asked

"I found out what happened with you and him and I just couldn't accept it so I haven't talked to him in a while" Jax said

"So who are they?" I asked

"This is Jace wayland, Izzy Lightwood and Alec Lightwood" he said pointing to each of them

When I made eye contact with the tall dark haired boy that was Alec Lightwood. I knew that moment our eyes connected he was the one or one of them at best. I felt this intense emotion and connection to him the moment our eyes met. I felt the butterflies in my stomach and every part of me wanted to hug and kiss him. Although we just met I couldn't help but want to do more with him.

"Trinity Gilbert" I said sticking my hand out towards Alec

"Nice to meet you" he said and I watched as his lip curled into a small smile

"Alec no way, you didn't" izzy squealed

Suddenly her arms were wrapped around my body causing me to gasp shocked.

"Izzy don't hurt her" Alec said pulling Izzy back so I could breathe

I couldn't help but be weak in the knees at the sound of his voice that sent shivers down my spine.

"Alexander Gideon Lightwood you didn't" Jace smirked

"What's going on?" Jax asked causing me to blush

"We're soulmates" Alec and I said at the same time

"Wow didn't see that coming, good luck man" Jax laughed

"I'm not that bad Jax" I growled shoving him lightly

"You use a bow and arrow?" Alec asked with a smile

"I know how to use any weapon necessary for the assignment" I smirked

"I like here already" Izzy said

"Wait where did you get that necklace?" Jace asked

"I got it from my adoptive mother why?" I asked

"Because that's a special necklace and it goes with Izzy's bracelet" Alec said

"You mean your bracelet turns into anything like my necklace?" I asked

"Yep" she smiled and nodded

"Oh by the way your outfit is amazing where'd you get that top" I asked

She linked arms with me and we began walking off somewhere.

"So my brothers your soulmate" she smiled

"Your overly happy for him that's nice" I said

"Why does that surprise you?" She asked softly

"It's just I don't have someone like you in my family that would be happy for me like that, don't get me wrong I have adoptive siblings but they wouldn't be all that happy for me they don't really know what I am anyway" I said sadly

"Oh then how'd you grow up?" She asked

"I grew up as a mundane with severe anger issues and thinking she was seeing things for years until I turned seventeen and my adoptive parents decided to finally tell me the truth about myself and Jax" I said

"So what are you skilled in or how did you train?" she asked

"When my adoptive parents saw me taking my anger out on everything without explaining what was happening to me the put a 12 year old into marshal arts classes and let her weald weapons that most people would find crazy, but as I've learned in our world that's said to be normal right?" I said

"Yes very normal we actually start at the age of ten or eleven" she said

"Well I guess I was right on time then" I laughed causing her to laugh as well

"So what exactly are you trained in?" Jace asked

"Taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, karate, hand to hand combat and I can use any weapon given to me whether it be a gun, sword, dagger, bow and arrow, whip literally anything and everything" I said

"Wow usually when we're learning we're told to pick a weapon to specialize in but hey you were raised mundane so I guess they assumed everything was better then one or nothing" Jace said

"I suppose, but I have other abilities like my elemental magic that the seelie queen is going to help me learn more of what I couldn't learn from my warlock friend and then she's going to let me go off on my own I suppose" I said

"Well your welcome at the institute anytime" Alec said suddenly

"I...thanks" I said

"Yeah especially now that we're going to be family and all because your Alec soulmate" Izzy smiled

"Don't get too excited mom isn't gonna like this" Alec said softly but I heard him

"Why wouldn't your mom like it?, isn't it like praised when you find your other half?" I asked

"It's not that simple" Alec said

"What is it then?" I asked getting frustrated

"It's just" Alec began

"Spit it out Alec why would your mother not want me around?" I asked

"Because your not just a shadowhunter your also part downworlder" he said

I scoffed and let go of Izzy before I walked off with Jax calling my name.
