"I pushed them away when my parents were killed and no one except those who are supernatural know about me" I said

"Your conflicted inside" she said

"I'm worried about one of my friends" I said

"Vicki?" She said

"Yes do you know anything?" I asked

"I'm sorry" she said softly

I knew immediately what that meant, she meant that she was gone and not disappearing gone but dead gone.

"How long?" I asked

"When you left Damon Salvatore turned her into a vampire and then your sister was forced to kill her" she said

"So Elena is involved deeply with those two?" I asked

"Very" she said

"That's typical of her, always out looking for danger isn't she" I scoffed

"Your the eldest correct?" She asked

"I am but I can't take care of them not at this age" I said

"You mean you can't or you won't?" She asked

"They don't know about what I am well Elena does she found out somehow but Jeremy doesn't and I don't want them to worry or know the dangers of this world, I don't want to risk losing them" I said

"That's what makes things hard doesn't it" she said

"The worry you mean?" I asked

"Yes, you worry about them dying on your watch and it scares you beyond comprehension doesn't it" she said

"Yes I don't want them to die in my watch it's too hard to think that I could have possibly saved my adoptive parents" I said

"It was fate that they died dear, you can't change fate so don't beat yourself up on it" she said

"You mean fate is real?" I asked

"Very much so" she said

"Is it okay if I go rest now?" I asked

"Sure would you like an escort?" She asked

"One last question" I said

"Go ahead" she said

"Your treating me as though I'm royalty is there something your not telling me?" I asked

"Rosemary was almost royalty here and you as her daughter must be prepared and protected no matter what especially because your also a Herondale" she said

"Thank you for telling me the truth" I said

"Of course dear, see you in the morning" she said and with that I left to my home here for the time being

It made sense now, the lavishly beautiful things she gave me and the way she treated me. She treated me as if I was important and high in the chain which now I know was true. I was hoping to see Jax one more time sometime soon but part of me knew it might not happen. It might never happen and I may never see him again unless fate had plans for it. I sigh and headed towards the bathroom to shower and get ready to sleep. When ready for bed I climbed in and just as I was closing my eyes my phone rang.

"Hello" I said not having looked at the screen

"Trinity it's me Jax" he said

I sat up and smiled to myself fate was in my side today.

"Jax it's good to hear your voice what can I do for you?" I asked

"I need your help with something can you tell me where you are?" He asked

"I'm in the seelie realm" I said

"What are you doing there?" He asked

"You know what I'm doing here, but did you want to meet somewhere I do have training tomorrow though" I said

"For your abilities, she's training you isn't she?" He asked

"If you mean the Queen then yes" I said

"I can't meet you there without permission but I can meet you at the entrance of the New York realm" he said

"What are you doing in New York?" I asked

"With a friend but we need some help someone with your abilities" he said

"When do you need me?" I asked

"Come tomorrow after training" he said

"I'll meet you at the entrance of the seelie realm then" I said

"Goodnight trinity" he said

"Goodnight Jax" I said

I smiled to myself but then frowned upon realizing that he only wanted me for my abilities right. Was that what fate had in store for me?, was fate wanting me to be used for that alone? Whatever it was I had brushed it off and headed to be that night.

The next morning I got up and got dressed into fitting clothes for training. I then made my way to the seelie queen's throne room where she waited for me.

"I've been made aware your friend called and needs your help" she said

"I can wait till after training he said" I said

"It's okay go ahead and meet him it will do good" she said

"If you say so thank you" I said and went back to change

I went back to the home of mine for the time being and got dressed in a new outfit.

I then grabbed my bow and arrow, daggers, sapphire blade and stele and texted Jax to meet me at the entrance of the realm. The closer I got to the New York realm the more my emotions went haywire. I felt every emotion inside from anger, to sadness and anxiety and more but why I didn't know. I didn't understand what was happening or why I felt butterflies in my stomach the closer I got.

Alec's POV

I didn't know what the feeling was or why I felt the way I did. I was standing with Jax along with Izzy and Jace but something was odd. We were waiting for some shadowhunter hybrid that was friends with Jax and under his protection at one point. He help train them and helped them shift for the first time but what I didn't understand was why. Why did I feel some weird feeling the moment he mentioned them but I couldn't tell if he was talking about a girl or guy. I've heard theories about the feelings I'm feeling but apart of me wanted to ignore them.
