"Happy birthday pumpkin" Magnus said for the side of my bed

"Thanks mags" I said with a soft smile that didn't reach my eyes

I always faked a smile these days, that was ever since my adoptive parents death of course. I've talked to Elena and Jermey every so often, but not as much as I probably should.

"Today is a good day because we are moving on with your training" he said

"Really?" I asked excitedly

"Really and we are going to meet the seelie queen so she can teach you more on your Faerie magic" he said

"That's awesome thanks Magnus" I said and hugged him to which he returned it

Call

"Happy birthday sis" Elena said into the phone

"Thanks can't believe I'm 19 now" I laughed

"Happy birthday" Jeremy said in the background

"Thanks Jer, oh Elena I got your message by the way" I said

"Yeah, about that, I need you to come to town" she said

"Elena you know I can't" I said

"Please, not today just sometime soon because it's important" she said

"Elena your being vouge right now" I said

"I know your a hunter" she said

"Excuse me?" I said shocked

"I thought we could talk in person about this, that it would be easier for you to explain" she said

"Who told you?" I asked

"Bonnie's a witch, Stefan is a vampire along with his brother and I'm some doppelgänger" she said

"So you know then" I said

"Yes and we could use your skills" she said

"Elena we can talk later, but I can't come to town right now" I said

"Why not?" she asked

"Because I'm training and shit that's why okay, and I refuse to come to town unless someone is dying got it" I snapped and ended the call

End of call

"Bit harsh don't you think pumpkin?" Magnus asked

"No, it's just that town bugs me especially now" I said

"Well then you don't have to go back you're a legal adult now anyhow" he said

"So, to meet the seelie queen then?" I asked

"Yes, but first an outfit change might do" he said

I decided on wearing something cute, sexy and presentable all in one for the seelie queen. She takes things seriously and to heart down in the faerie realm so I want to do my best.

I got ready did light makeup and headed back to the living room to wait for Magnus. He was big on showing off as well but that wasn't all he was about.

"Wow...tu es si belle" Magnus said in French
(You look so beautiful)

I knew how to answer only because Magnus has been teaching me different languages and French is one of them.

"pourquoi merci Magnus" I replied

"Your French is getting much better" he said

"So what is the seelie queens first language?" I asked

"Well she's older than she seems trust me when you see her you'll know what I mean by that, but she speaks lots of languages I believe she favors Latin and Russian though" he said

"I'm good with Latin" I said as I slipped down the street with my weapons on me

"Also she isn't big on weapons in her realm but your part faerie so she might allow it" he said

"There that's it right?" I asked pointing to the very well hidden realm entrance

"Good eye pumpkin" Magnus said

I smiled at the praise and followed after him into the seelie realm to the queen. As we walked I felt this overwhelming feeling inside like I was home. An overwhelming feeling that I was safe and nothing could harm me here.

"Magnus bane what do we own the pleasure?" A young female voice said bringing me out of my thoughts

"Hello my queen" Magnus said and bowed

"Mhmm I sense your loss, your powers and you overcome with a feeling you don't understand" the queen said

"It's okay she's knows" Magnus reassured me

"You came for information didn't you?" She asked

"I need to know where I really came from and Magnus suggested we find you" I said

"I sense the gene in you, your part faerie and shadowhunter but your more then that as well" she said

"I'm part shifter" I said

"Come closer dear" she said

I did as told and walked closer towards her where she sat on her throne and paused in front of her.

"Don't be shy I won't bite unless necessary" she smiled

I smiled weakly at her in return but I sensed someone trying to read my mind. I tiled my head in confusion and looked at the seelie queen.

"Open your mind to me child" she said grabbing my hands gently

"How?" I asked

"Close your eyes and imagine the wall you've built falling down" she said

I did as instructed closing my eyes and visualizing the wall I've built so long ago crumbling down. I watched as images flashed through my mind most likely showing to the queen as well. Images of me growing up and me becoming more in tune with my abilities. Me learning how to fight, use weapons of all sorts and my fighting skills. Seeing myself shift as if I'm the eyes of another with Jax beside me with Adam and harden. Images of me learning my abilities with Magnus, to images of me getting in trouble as a child. Learning more languages and laughing, crying and the anger as well. It all flowed through me and into the seelie queens mind as it did so I felt a tear fall down my cheek.

I pulled back and quickly whipped the tear away aggressively as I felt the emotions I bottled up coming out. She stood up from her throne and reached for me placing a hand on my cheek. I naturally leaned into her hand feeling comfortable in her presence. She felt warm and calming to me like a motherly touch and that was her goal wasn't it.

"Your part of our people, part of my people, your my child not directly but from someone of my children, I consider all the faerie folk to be my children, you feel at home because of me and your connection to this realm, your always welcome here and this realm connects to every place we have locations at" she said

"Home that is a term I haven't truly understood until now, don't get me wrong I have a home where my adoptive siblings are but this is what I can describe as the true feeling of home" I said with a soft smile as I looked around me
