I kept on digging and eventually came up with more information that I thought that I would come up with.

"Annabelle are you home?" the voice of Hannah Givens called out

"Mom in here" anna said

"Oh Trinity hello" she said upon noticing my presence

"Hey" I said and waved but then went back to reading

I began to read up on runes, also known as Marks, are symbols that grant beings various supernatural abilities, with both  and  runes known to exist. For, runes are a complex runic language given to them by the Angel, which grants them powers beyond those of. Runes are burned into Shadowhunter's' skin using, and are their most common tool in their fight against demons. I zoned out the conversation that Annabelle and her mother were having off to the side about something. As I kept on reading I got more and more things that I knew were probably important to know about myself and the new things I would come to need to know.

I read about the different runes which include abundance, acceleration, accuracy, action, agility, Agony, alliance, angelic power/enkeil, antidote, authority, awareness, breathing under duress, calm anger, communication, clarity, creation, courage in combat, cure poison, deflect/block, eidetic memory, endurance, empathy, enlighten, fearless, flexibility, and many more. I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts when someone put their hand on my shoulder.

"Annabelle tells me you know about your kind now" Hannah said

"Yeah, but I'm still slightly confused so I'm reading more on what I see as important" I said

"Well your welcome to borrow the books anytime you'd like, and we can try and teach you things too if you like" Hannah said

"Thanks, oh umm I should get going before mom makes and or burns the dinner she tries to cook" I said

"Right well, I'll see you tomorrow then" Annabelle said

When I got home I could hear yelling before I even got through the front door and it sounded like mom, dad and someone else. I creeped into the house quietly and swiftly especially due to my newest rune of agility. I peeked around the corner and traced over my rune that glamourized me from mundane sight so I could see what was happening. When I entered the kitchen where they arguing was taking place I saw mom, dad and Uncle John staning and arguing.

"She deserves to know don't you think?" John snapped

"Trinity will know when we think it's best" Dad said

"She deserves to know the truth about where she comes from" John argued back

"She's not going to know, she already knows what she is, but we can't tell her where she really came from not yet at least" mom said

"What are you hiding from me now?" I hissed and de-glamourized myself

"Sweetie how long have you been standing there?" mom asked

"Long enough, now either tell me or I refuse to speak to either of you until you do" I snapped

I watched as they looked at one another, then john then back to me, but said nothing.

"God when will the lying and secrets stop" I snapped

"Trinity please" mom tried

"No, if you don't tell me then I'm not going to talk to either of you and I mean it" I snapped

"We can't it's not our place" dad said

"Not your place what the fuck does that even mean?" I snapped

"Watch your mouth young lady" mom said

"Screw this, I'm leaving and I'm not returning until you've decided to stop lying" I snapped grabbed my keys and left

Part of me knew it was wrong to leave suddenly, but I was going to be eighteen soon enough and I needed out. So I found myself making my way to a familiar place, somewhere I haven't been in quite some time. I kept driving she was only a town over, she wasn't all that far, but I had nothing on me anymore. I didn't pack a bag or grab anything I simply just got up and left which felt wrong but so right. I felt free up until I realized that maybe she might not be there anymore after all it has been a year since we last talked. But when I finally pulled into her driveway and saw her familiar face walking up the driveway I knew.

"Hayley" I called out causing her to turn

I noticed a yellow glow around her, she was a werewolf how did I never realize this.

"Trinity oh my god what are you doing here?" she asked while walking towards me

"I know things, I found out what I am and I know that your different too, but the reason I'm here is because my parents have been lying to me about everything" I said

"Oh thank god now I have someone to share my wolf with" she said

"Do you mind if I say a few days or something?" I asked

"Not at all come inside let me get the guest room set up" she said

"Thanks hay, I mean I should have called but I was too upset and just drove" I said

"No biggy really trust me, it's been quiet around here lately and I could use the company" she said

Just like that we fell back into our usual routine of friendship that we missed out on over the year. I found out how she triggered her curse, well that is what her and Harden's kind are that is. It wasn't intentional which I totally understand, I told her about everything that has been going on back home. And we simply chatted until we fell asleep and I had millions of texts from multiple people.
