Orientation
They have arrived.
Hell was everything you would expect. Hot, blazing fires eternally burned the walls, the rock was dark and red, and it was deserted. Lanterns hung from what they could guess was the ceiling, despite the lack of the need for lanterns with the bright fires.
Technoblade adjusted his crown, standing up. The Devil was in front of them, back turned towards them.
"What did you do."
Techno, just as confused as he was, hesitated to answer. The Devil started to panic.
"W-what?! How did that work?! That shouldn't have worked! That's not possible! What kind of desire was that anyway?! Do I seriously have to-?"
A groan sounded from next to him. Skeppy had just woken up.
"Uuuugh, is my frig overheating or somethinn..."
The Devil sighed. "No, your fridge is not. Welcome to the Nether."
"I thought you said this was Hell?" Techno asked. The Devil heaved an annoyed breath. "Yes, it is. They're the same thing. Now come with me. It's a long walk from here to my house." He started walking. Techno grabbed Skeppy's arm and pulled him along.
They walked past spirits and zombies. The ghasts were annoying, but the Devil said that they don't like people who trade their souls for petty things. Skeppy started glaring at ghasts after that until the Devil told him to stop. The pigmen started attacked the two after Skeppy bumped into one, and it was only after a few minutes of yelling and running away that the Devil asked the pigmen to stop. They backed off. It was clear that he had a lot of authority here.
A child piglin ran up the Devil and offered obsidian for gold. The Devil smiled and dug through his cloak, taking out a gold ingot. He took the obsidian happily. The piglin ran away. Skeppy was gonna ask until the child piglin's legs were burnt to a crisp by a big burst of lava from the ground. Technoblade was going to react when the Devil responded before he could.
"She was a thief merchant. This is painted cobblestone." He said, playing with the material. The paint job flaked onto the ground, revealing speckles of gray. Cobblestone.
"Funnily enough, if I hadn't known that, I probably would have used it and never realized until I figured out I couldn't light it," he says, chuckling and continuing on.
During their journey, Technoblade had befriended some Pigmen along the way. He had found some gold nuggets earlier and crafted some golden boots. Somehow the pigmen respected him now.
Finally, they had reached the Devil's destination. He looked up at a small cottage, steam peaking out from a short chimney. He opened the door and gestured for them to enter.
"Uhhh, yeah, I'm not too sure about thi-" Skeppy was shoved inside before he could refuse.
It was a nice cozy cottage inside. It was slightly cooler in here. Where a fireplace would be, it was filled with a block of cold ice, where the steam was supposedly coming from.
"Nice place you've got here. How is there steam, though?" Techno asked.
"Visible water vapor." The Devil said matter-of-factly. "Now, I want you two to stay here. I've got work to do. Don't go anywhere."
Skeppy sputtered. "Wait, what?! How come we can't come with you?!
Bad groaned and flipped up his hood. "You can't come with me because you're not allowed to."
"Well what about our deal?" Techno pointed out. "He specifically said that we had to be around you; that's the whole reason why we're down here."
"The deal... It made a mistake, it must've been invalid and it brought you both down here anyway. TI've got nothing to worry about."
He played with the knob and opened the door. "I'll be back in 20 minutes, don't move from this house." He slammed the door.
Sighing with relief, he starting pacing. That summoning left a bump in his schedule, but that was fine. He had that little zombie meeting he had been postponing for days now, and-
White light appeared in front of him suddenly, quickly forming into Skeppy, doing a JoJo pose, and Techno, holding a baseball bat. The three stared at each other in shock. Techno dropped the baseball bat and smiled.
"...So I think this is a good time to trade introductions; my name is Techno, this is Skeppy, and we are not causing discord."
Steam suddenly starting fuming out of his ears. "WERE YOU TRYING TO GRIEF MY HOUSE?!"
"Nonononono, we weren't, I promi-"
Golden nuggets fell out of Skeppy's unzipped pockets and onto the ground, giving loud plinks as if marbles were being scattered onto the floor. Skeppy put his hands in his now empty pockets casually.
"Well to be fair, this isn't technically griefing."
"I LEAVE YOU FOR 5 SECONDS AND YOU ALREADY TRY TO ROB ME?!"
"Perhaps," chimed in Techno.
"Well, it's technically your fault for saying the deal didn't exist."
"Exactly, if you hadn't said that, we wouldn't have even moved," Techno said, nodding his head.
The Devil twitched. "I... am going... to kill you... SO badly."
Skeppy raised his hand. "Alright, listen here... buddy- Okay can you just give us your name already, I don't know what to call you by."
His horns grew. "My name... is BadBoyHalo."
Skeppy rolled his eyes. "Right, Bad-boy-halo? What kind of stupid name is that?"
The Devil, BadBoyHalo, started growing taller, his shadow growing. "It's the name of the person who will punish you greatly until you start begging for forgiveness!"
Techno played with his robe and looked down sadly. "Now that's just mean."
Immediately, he shrunk to normal size again. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean-"
Skeppy started laughing. "How do you threaten someone and apologize right after?" Skeppy taunted. Bad opened his mouth to say something, then checked the time after a quick realisation.
"Ooh no, shoot, I'm late!" He said, before quickly grabbing both of their arms and speedrunning towards a fortress. "I can't postpone this again!"
"Where are we going?!" Skeppy yelled. Pigmen, Wither Skeletons, Souls and everyone alike looked at them passing by confused as their ruler rushed towards the Nether Fortress, where the important meeting with Zombies was being held. Where their ruler was bringing living humans beings to.
