12: Freeze Time
AN: ''Quality over Quantity'' said a lovely person, thank you. Explanation as to why I disappeared is in my conversations, otherwise. Enjoy~
Jacks P.O.V ~
''JACK?!'' Mark helplessly cried as his eyes fell on me.
''M-Mark...what are you-'' My concern was interrupted by Felix.
''Ohhh~ This couldn't be more perfect~'' Felix said with a wide devious grin plastered onto his face. He waved off the guards and allowed them to drop Mark face first onto the wooden floor, falling with a painful thud. I was about to argue but he beat me to it.
''Tsk, tsk, tsk, Oh Mark. Why must you be so stupid...'' He knelt down to Marks level as he was still lying on the floor. ''Now you've just made the show much more entertai-'' Felix was interrupted by Marks spit colliding with his left cheek. My eyes widened in shock as Felix let out a calm sigh before wiping the saliva off his face with his sleeve.
Before anymore thoughts could be processed, Felix raised his arm and swung it full force, colliding with Marks face. ''NO!!'' I yelled in hopes to stop him, but my pleads fell on deaf ears. A loud smacking noise rung through my ears before I saw Mark tumble to his side. He hit him so hard that his body tumbled over.
Mark groaned in pain as he covered the red side of his face with his free arm, his eyes squinting in pain.
''Nonono please! Don't hurt him!!'' I begged the man that towered over Marks now, frail body on the deck floor. He slowly turned his head to me before yet another wide grin appeared on his face. He stood up and I instinctively scrambled back, my human legs still being a pain to use. Instead of walking towards me, he walked behind his desk and opened a drawer. I couldn't see what it was, but I was able to hear metal cackling against one another.
Soon enough, I saw what seemed to be looped metal intertwined with itself, I've never seen anything like it. Felix then walked in my direction and kneeled down, his intimidating face only inches away from mine. I was frozen with fear, unable to move. Felix then tightened the grip on the metal and hung it in front of my face, slowly swaying it back and forth with the movements of he ship.
''You know what this is?'' He asked with that smile that I've grown to hate. I slowly shook my head 'no' without taking my eyes off of his. His smile grew wider.
''These bad boys are shackles, but not just any kind of hand restrains~'' He cooed, leaning closer to my face and moving the 'shackles' back and forth as if trying to hypnotize me. ''You've heard of merrow proof nets right?'' He asked, wanting to confirm his suspicion. I slowly nodded 'yes'. He sighed in satisfaction.
''Well this is a special metal that's un breakable by merrows~'' He finished, grabbing hold of the metal, causing it to stop dead in it's movement, now tightly grasped by his rather muscular palm. I flinched at the sudden movement. Before I could take another breath he didn't hesitate to lock the cold metal around both my wrists.
''L-let go of me!!'' I squirmed as I tried to break free of the restrains. He chuckled at this action.
''Hush now, my Golden boy~'' He whispered sadistically, feeling his hot breath on my ear. Every bone in my body shivered at the unwanted feeling.
''Get off of him you fucking perv!'' Mark suddenly yelled, he talked as if he had something in his mouth, I soon realized he had a large red mark on his left cheek.
''N-no please... he didn't mean it!!'' I yelled frantically as I noticed Felix walking up to Mark in a painfully slowly manner before kneeling down as if he had all the time in the world.
Felix then roughly grabbed Mark's hair and lifted his head to eye level so he could glare right into his soul. He gave a large grin before slamming Mark's head into the wooden deck. I couldn't even muster a scream as shock consumed every sense in my body.
Mark then gasped in pain as he opened his blood-shot eyes. My lips beginning to shake uncontrollably as I stared into what were once such calm, coca eyes.
I looked down to where Mark's head had collided with the floor and noticed a small crack, I tried to wriggle closer to him. The need to comfort him was all that was on my mind at that point. I heard Felix sigh and snapped my head towards his direction, my nerves calming down as I saw him walking back to his chair.
I looped over Mark's head as the shackles minimized my movements and hugged into his strong physique. He was shaking wildly as I failed to calm him down.
''S-Shhh... it's okay...I'm here..'' I mummered, completely ignoring Felix's presence. Mark seemed to have reacted by weakly hugging back, trying to hold my own fragile frame. We stayed like this for what felt like forever, simply holding each other in a comforting manner.
Moments like this made me want to freeze time.
Suddenly, a loud bang caused me to yank at the chains.
AN: Sorry it's short but this is all I can do atm.
Okay, wow, I've been gone for a good few months. Long story short I'll try to update this book once a month since I also made the same promise for my other book that is in progress ''Paradox'' You can go check my Conversation/bio thingy for more info about updates and what I'll be doing in the future, there also an explanation as to why I was away for so long.
Sorry for making you wait so long and thank you to those who were kind enough when approaching the ''when are you updating'' questions.
