AN: There's something IMPORTANT I would like to adress that's been bugging me for a while now, I would really appreciate if you took your time to read this. As some of you awesome readers may know, it took an entire month to update chapter 9. That was because I had writers block. But the problem here is- there are a few people that (in a sense) order me to write more/update.

Now don't get me wrong, I love all you guys but some of you push me to my limits and only add more stress. Making this more or a task than a fun activity. I want to enjoy this so I literally left Wattpad for a month to clear my mind, and I got an idea! (Which is how chapter 9 finally came to mind) Just please don't push me to update, I appreciate how some of you are polite when approaching the question but it only makes me more stressed, causing shitty ideas to come to mind because of all the pressure. Anyway! I love all of you smol beans! I'm just asking you to understand from my point of view :)

Also, if you ever wonder what happens to updates just check out my 'Update' book! It'll give explanations as to why I haven't updated in a while so keep that in mind if you want to know more about updates on all of my books, it also features some books that I haven't even mde yet but have ideas for!

Crys P.O.V ~

Neptune's Castle ~

I stood there, shaking in fear of the Shark King as he and Neptune discussed the plan of attack. I don't know why Neptune made me stay here, but orders are orders. I decided to eavesdrop on their conversation as I stay a few meters behind them.

''So...then here?'' Kamohoalii asked with curiosity in his tone. Suprisingly he's a lot less terrifing when he's not mad, who would've known. (Note sarcasm) He was pointing on the map made of creepvine, where there were markings, showing the locations of the humans, QuickFins, other smaller islands- even Death Shore. I shivered at the mere thought of that horrid place.

''I suppose the only way is to allow them to come to us...'' Neptune said after a long sigh. My head snapped to him, my eyes wider than anyone else's.

''W-What?! They'll...they'll kill us!!'' I yelled frantically. Stuttering with my swimming as I moved back and forth rapidly. Neptune raised his arms as Kamohoalii stared, dumbfounded by my actions.

''Calm down Cry...I- We...would never let that happen. Trust me, you, all merrows and QuickFins are safe in our presence'' Neptune reassured me while guesturing to Kamohoalii. They both turned their attention back to the map.

''And then we strike. We kill as many as we can, drowning them would be the most effective solution...''Kamohoalii said with confidence as he gently banged his fist against the hard coral table, making me jump slightly. I didn't like the idea, and nor did Neptune.

''No! No! No!'' Neptune interrupted him while waving his arms dramatically. ''There will be no killing! It is agaisnt our law-'' Kamohoalii interrupted him.

All of a sudden I felt undoubtedly uncomfortable.

''Your law-'' Kamohoalii corrected him. ''-we don't have anythi-'' Neptune growled in anger as he too, inperrupted the shark man.

''This law applies to ALL sea creatures. And guess what! A SharkMan is considered as a SEA creature!'' Neptune said in defense, Kamohoalii knew that he was wrong so in return he glared at the Merrow king, showing his fangs as if to say I'm stronger than you. Tears were on the brim of my eyes as I barely managed to keep a hold of my self.

''P-Please...s-s-top...'' I whispered with a croaked tone as my voice was interrupted by sobs and hics. Both men had a quick look of guilt before talking in a normal tone, once again.

''Okay, lets make an agreement...'' Neptune said, giving Kamohoalii a serious glare. ''IF they will not want to discuss the problem and dont free my...son...then we could threaten them- since we obviously have a much stronger army than them'' He said without a doubt. ''-they would answer by attacking and then, only then can we defend ourselves by attacking back'' Neptune finished with confidence striking in every word. Kamohoalii didn't say a word for a few minutes, keeping his gaze locked on the map as he was in deep thought.

''Alright, agreed'' He said with a sigh. I finally loosened up as the normal mood managed to come back.

''Perfect'' Neptune stated, nodding his head in relief. ''I'll get a few dozen of my guards to secure the area and warn us if anything happens'' He said, exiting the room, leaving Kamohoalii and I alone. I built enough courage inside me to glance at him and silently sighed in relief as he was fixated on the map that lay on the massive coral table.

Jacks P.O.V ~

I nervously swam around the small tank as I listen to every word Dr Felix says. He was standing at a table with the 'Kenith' man and a few assistants as they peered over a map. Sometimes they mumbled a few words, making it nearly impossible to hear or guess what they were saying. I lean as close as I can to the cold glass.

''Sir, it'd be best if we strike from here..'' A man standing next to Dr Felix said as he pointed at an area on the map. My stomach dropped at the feeling of my small kingdom getting hurt, hopefully Cry has told my father about everything. Hopefully. I know my father- and he wouldn't want to battle with the humans, although I'm sure he's aware they have no chance against them...What do I know, I'm just a sorry excuse for a prince that has failed his kingdom...

''W-What do you need me for if...your gonna kill all of us anyway...'' I stuttered in fear, getting all their attention. Felix gazed at me with an evil smile.

How I hated that shit eating face of his..

''Oh don't worry, we plan on leaving some of the rare ones alive~ Such as your self. But once the majority of Merrows are sold...well...'' He scoffed. ''I honestly couldn't care less what happens to them'' He says turning his attention back to the map. This boiled my blood, all these humans ever care about is money and fame. What the hell is wrong with humans, blinded by money and power just so they feel 'superior' from everyone else.

''But why?!'' I yelled suddenly, getting the attention of all the men around Felix and himself. ''Why is money so important? Can't you see there's a brighter side of life that lets you love and live life to it's fullest! You're not gonna get much from all this- I mean sure, you could be happy with all the money for a short amount of time, but then you'll see the true reality of greed! It's miserable! Why can't you see that?!'' I yelled blindly towards Felix in particular.

His face read shock, and for a moment there I thought I'd gotten him to realise that money isn't everything.

But he proved me wrong as he fell into a fit of manical laughter, scaring the men around him. It semed as if he had completely lost his mind, his fist banging into the steel table as he held his stomach with the other. Finally he stopped and it was like a switch had been turned. Immediately his face dropped the smug smile and was replaced with a terrifing, blank glare.

He was staring right into my soul.

''This...is exactly why monsters like you go extinct..'' He said to everyone in the area and yet keeping his eye on my tank as if referring to me. ''Life's all about love and being happy...'' He squinted his eyes in pure anger towards me. ''Bull. Shit.''

He began to walk to wards my tank in a painfully slow manner, his arms behind his back. ''When you have money....you have POWER'' He emphasized the last word, I cringed at his foolish train of thought.

''-And when you have the most money, you become the most powerful kingdom on this entire, pathetic, planet! EVERYONE!! Will come to us, we'll gain an abnormal amount of profit! We could enslave the poor to harvest even MORE gold!! And we'll have everything our hearts desire!!'' He yelled as most of his men cheered in unison. I sighed, knowing there's no getting through to him.

What could've caused this man to become so blinded by his self-worth?

When everyone in the lab had slowly calmed down from cheering, Felix turned his attention back to the table where the battle map lay.

''Alright it's settled'' Felix said, wrapping up the meeting after a few short minutes. ''I want about 3 of our specialized ships- here...here....and here. Pack extra nets, hooks, knifes, guns and so on'' He ordered the men as they listened carefully. ''And don't forget the cannons'' He turns his glare to me. ''Dry him off, it'll be easier that way'' He finished before walking off to where ever he had to go. I gasped before quickly swimming into the hollow rock, afraid of what the inevitable.

Merrow Guards' P.O.V ~

12 of my men and my self, guarded the eastern side of the castle, keeping a rough 100 meter (328 Feet) -distance so we'd know in advance if anything was coming. I nervously gripped my trident as I stared into the deep blue sea. Nothing was in view, it was silent and tranquil- but the most disturbing thing was that it was too calm. The magnificent sea gods spoke not, nor did they hum their beautiful lullabies. The usual pod of dolphins dared not to swim by, as if they felt the storm nearing. The uneasy feeling of darkness crept upon our backs even though it was noon. 

Nothing.

Silence.

In a quick sudden we felt a disturbance of the water up ahead. I signal one of the harnessed dolphins near by to swim closer and use their echo location with one simple hand movement- not wanting to disturb the silence. The clicks from the dolphin were aimed east, as that was where the humans lived and where the strange hum was coming from. Suddenly, to everyone's shock the dolphin squealed and rushed back to the stables near by the castle.

Surely enough, a low rumble was heard soon after from ships breaking the water, they were headed right towards us.

''WARN THE KING!!!''

Oh. My. Thor. I'm so sorry this damn book hasn't been updated in months!!!

I wonder if anyone still reads this.

I feel like I've failed my lovely readers as an author...but I'm not going to blabber on, I just want to say that I've had a LOT on my mind. I'm nearing 18, and it's just putting so much stress on me, I'm trying my best to stay positive as Jack would say. Anyway, If you're still actually interested in this book just comment that you are or something of the nature, I need to know if this book is even worth reading anymore? The update schedule is all over the place with this book so I'm not making any promises.
