We ate in Lachelle's bed. It took some convincing but she did not believe me when I told her I didn't want to play Infinity Quest. We were watching this cool athletic game show. Like they would do test of strength against each other and then the winner would take on the mountain master. It was super easy to follow.

I was so focused on the show I let me weirdness get the better of me when I piled chips on my burger. I looked over at Lachelle when I heard how loud I was eating. Lachelle just laughed at me. "I don't care how you eat your chips Alex. You're only eating half the bag."

"Challenge accepted." Game on then. 

The bag of chips were actually on my lap. Which means I have the advantage in this case. "So how are you going to stop me?" I moved my body so I was leaning over the bag of chips.

"I'll kick you in the face." Lachelle joked.

"Only if you kiss me first." Shit. I said something weird again. I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the head board.

I felt Lachelle move the bag of chips off my lap.

"Challenged failed."

When I looked at her she was looking at her phone. "Hey if you could be a combination of any two animals what would they be?" Lachelle asked randomly. She must have felt my confusion. "I just looked up conversation starters. That was the first question that popped up."

Game back on. "A pelican and a lion. So I can be a rapid killer and hold my prey in my mouth with the ability to fly." I answered proudly without hesitation.

"Sounds like dragon with extra steps." Lachelle said. She seemed unfazed by my answer. She must have felt me staring because she started smiling. "Want to hear mine?"

"Nothing would make me happier." Her kissing me would make me happy, but that's not happening.

"An octopus and an elephant." Lachelle laughed.

"So the Kraken." I laughed.

"No, not the Kraken." Lachelle hissed.

"You just described the Kraken." I argued.

"No I didn't." Lachelle argued back. "My guy is going to have a trunk, floppy ears, and tusks. With eight tentacles. This is something far scarier than the Kraken."

"The Kraken is not a friendly guy Lachelle. At least my guy is fluffy." My comment sent Lachelle into a laughing fit. 

"You described yourself as a rapid killer." Lachelle laughed out. Of course she thinks this is funny. This bitch is crazy. Still, I love laughing with her.

We talked about the show and laughed. Once I finished my burger Lachelle grabbed my plate. "I'll be right back okay." Lachelle told me. I think she wants me to stay.

Where's my phone?

I checked my pockets and couldn't find my phone. I decided to go check my room and I found it on my bed I decided to lay in my bed as I checked my phone. One missed call from Jim and a text that said 'call me when you can.'

So, I called Jim.

"Hey Alex are you okay? You haven't been on Infinity Quest in a few days." I can hear the concern in his voice. Honestly Jim is more of a parent than my mom. "I'm fine Jim really. I can't play whenever I want. I don't have a T.V. in my room." Which is all true.

Jim laughed. "Well your mom wants you over for dinner and I need to do inventory at the store for a few hours. Still want me to get you in the morning, or after inventory?"

I felt a softness press against my back. My room was suddenly filled with the scent of vanilla. I knew it was Lachelle. I tried to continue my conversation as I felt Lachelle turn her head towards my free ear.

"The morning is fine." I tried my hardest to continue but Lachelle is the worst. When I felt her breathe against my ear I felt my eyes roll back. 

She whispered softly "I wanted you to stay." I quickly hung up the phone as I let out an involuntary moan.

I recognized the feeling. I usually get it when I eat like a really good piece of cheese cake. I heard Lachelle giggle into my ear. I realized that my whole body tensed up. Before I could even react Jim was calling me back.

And my dumb ass answered.

"Are you okay Alex?" Jim asked. At the same time Lachelle whispered in my ear. "Do you like this Alex?"

"Yes." I'm not even sure who I was talking to at that point. I felt Lachelle giggle in my ear. If I'm going to bed feeling some type of way so is she. "Hey Jim remember the girl I introduced you to at the game store?" I asked. I felt Lachelle grip the back of my shirt. She knows I'm talking about her. "Can she come tomorrow? I want her to meet mom."

"Is that the girl that kissed you then kicked you in the face?" Jim asked.

I'm going to get my ass kicked but "Yeah she is the same girl that kissed me then kicked me in the face." I felt Lachelle bury her face in my neck.

Jim started laughing. "That's fine, but let's not tell your mother she kicked you in the face. Save that for the wedding vows."

"Wedding vows?" As soon as the question left my mouth I felt Lachelle bite my neck. It wasn't a pleasant bite. Sheer pain. I screamed out. It hurt. I disconnected the phone. "Lachelle please."

Lachelle climbed off of me. "Fuck Alex. Why?" Lachelle was obviously freaking out. "I don't want to meet your mom Alex. I don't do well with moms."

I stood up and tried to grab her hand but she snatched it away. "Don't touch me Alex."

"Grab her." 

I listened to the voice as I grabbed her hand. When she went to slap me I caught it with my other hand. "Lachelle trust me." I felt Lachelle kick my left shin. I leaned over in pain and rested my head on Lachelle's shoulder. "Just talk to me." I begged. I felt Lachelle kick my right shin. This pain was so much worse and it brought me down to the ground.

I don't remember what happened to Lachelle. When I finally got my head to stop spinning I checked my shins. My left shin had peeled skin. My right shin was bleeding. I laid on my back as I felt the tears drip down my face.

"She hates you." I know.

"Jim pities you." He does.

"Your mother sent you away." Damn I hate this voice.

I forced myself to stand. I was limping as best as I can to the bathroom. In order to get to the bathroom. In order to get to the bathroom you need to pass her room. Lachelle's room. I walked up to Lachelle's door. I could hear her crying softly on the inside "Lachelle?"

"Go away Alex."

I opened the door and limped inside. I was careful to keep my right leg off of the bed as I laid down beside her. "I'm sorry Ikari." I whispered. I watched as Lachelle turned her head to face me. Her eyes were red from crying. Her eyes showed that she was listening to me. "Maindo said we have to heal each other. So please let me try."

Lachelle wiped her eyes. "It's not that simple Alex. I can't help how I am. This can't be healed."

"Your anger?"

"Do you want to know why I'm angry Alex? Because I like girls and all the girls at our school suck. Because when I got my heart broken my mom sent me to this camp to get fixed. Because my ex-girlfriend tried to have her new boyfriend beat me up." Lachelle cried. "You where there. You saw the fight."

What fight? The courtyard fight?

"Because I like you. I lashed out on you multiple times for no reason and you showed me kindness. For crying out loud you call me Lachelle, my real fucking name. Not La-bitch." Lachelle started crying harder. "You have a real issue Alex. I don't know what it is but I know you need help. I was just thrown aside."

"You have a real problem but you are so kind to me. To everyone. Yet you are always alone. It's just not fair." Lachelle was beginning to calm down. "I just want you to forget that I kissed you. You forget everything else."

"I never want to forget that kiss." I admitted. "100 missed calls and three messages. The smell of vanilla and the taste of cherries. How warm you are in my arms. Lachelle I don't know what this is but I'm not ready to let it go yet."

I closed my eyes. I felt the blood drip down my leg. Oh yeah she just kicked me. When I sat up I heard Lachelle gasp. She must have noticed my leg. When Lachelle tried to jump out the bed I grabbed her hand and forced her to sit next to me. Now this move did not work well for me in the past so I quickly used my other hand to hold Lachelle's face still.

"Achievement Unlocked: First Move."

As I kissed Lachelle I felt her relax into my body. She's not stopping me. I let go of her hand and slid my arm under her legs. I then lifted her onto my lap as I continued to kiss her. "Alex wait."

"Why?" Shit. Even the voices in my head were upset. 

"What's wrong?" How did I mess up that fast? 

"Your leg." Lachelle whispered.

I turned to look at my leg and saw that my right leg was dripping in blood. "When did that happen?" 

Lachelle had a very blank expression on her face. "Stay here." Lachelle ordered as she climbed off of me.

That's fresh blood. Like it just happened.

"Focus Kioku." Okay strange voice.

"Alex." Goodbye strange voice. A better one is calling me. I looked over at Lachelle holding a first aid kit and a bottle of rubbing alcohol.

It's a no for me dawg.

I tried to run, but Lachelle threw the first aid kit on the bed and pushed me on the bed. "Do you want me to go with you tomorrow?" Lachelle asked.

I know where this is going. "Just do it." I think Lachelle gets off from causing me pain because she showed no mercy when she bandaged me up. Now I remember, this bitched kicked me again. I'm not a fan of this kicks for kisses phase.
