Later that night, Cole sat in Crystal's room while she worked on a drawing.

        "I just don't get it," Cole said frustratedly. "Why did our powers just go haywire?"

         "Don't ask me. You're the smart one." Crystal replied pointedly.

         "You're smart too, Crystal." Cole grumbled. Crystal just shrugged and showed Cole her drawing, which looked like a lump of coal with side bangs.

           "Look it's you!" She joked. Cole pushed her off her chair playfully and she tackled him into a hug. "Do I win?" She asked.

           "No." Cole said with an amused chuckle. He smiled at his wildcard sister. He was always amazed at what random shenanigans she could come up with on the spot.

         "Well since I don't win," Crystal said, interrupting Cole's train of thought. "I'm going to sleep."

          "Crystal tie your hair up first."

          "Nah." And with that, Crystal dozed off. Cole adjusted Crystal so she'd be comfortable and dozed off next to her.

       Cole woke up in a plain with room that seemed endless. It was cold but he was still warm, despite wearing a tee shirt. Cole quickly deduced that he was dreaming since something like this couldn't possibly be real, could it? He stood up and started walking.... somewhere. It was hard to tell where he was going and were he came from with the room being endless and all. Then he heard a voice.

       "Soon," the voice boomed. It filled the room and was cold and dark and menacing. "You will be a pawn in my hands." And just like it came, it left. And it left Cole with an unshakable feeling that something or someone was controlling him and he needed to protect Crystal.

Boom, cliffhanger! Heh I'm not really proud of this chapter mostly because it was originally filler. It's decent, though. Vote and comment and all that jazz.
