The door to the treasure room burst open with such force it threatened to break, but didn't. Jesse and Axel ran inside, panting and sweating, and then closed the door and locked it.

"What the heck?" A voice said, coming from a red-headed female.

Jesse and Axel turned to see a group of people facing them, including the new Order of the Stone.

Petra had her arms crossed, and was standing with Olivia and Ivor. Next to them stood three others that Jesse recognized, but only as they turned around in their black jackets.

The Blaze Rods. Gil, Maya, and Aiden, each of them with a guilty look on their faces. Her face twisted into a scowl.

"What. In the name. Of notch-!?" She started almost forgetting about the PAMA situation, as the door burst open, breaking from the impact. Jesse gasped as one of the villagers pushed her backward onto the floor.

Axel helped her up, and they ran to the group. Petra and Aiden were pulling out their swords and Olivia her crossbow.

"What the heck is happening?!" They said, looking around confused, but getting ready to fight.

"AS THEY SAY, YOU CAN RUN. BUT YOU CANNOT HIDE." PAMA chorused, somewhat cheerfully.

The people began to fill the room, surrounding them.

Jesse's eyes widened as Aiden prepared to strike with his sword. She quickly ran in front of him, blocking his way and grabbed his arm. He tensed.

"No!" She shouted, to him and everybody. "No weapons! We can still save them!"

Petra growled and put her sword away. Aiden hesitated, and then did the same. The group was shrinking into the center, bit by bit.

"Run! We've got to run!" Jesse cried, looking around for an escape route.

"Where?"

And then there was a scream.

"MAYA!" Gil cried, as the villagers began to grab her by her arms. She thrashed and struggled, but their grip was as strong as iron.

Jesse raced to them without hesitation, trying to pry their arms from Maya's.

"Cover me!" She called, using all her strength to push the villagers away. But as soon as she reached for them they let go of Maya and aimed for Jesse. She gasped as they tackled her, pinning her to the ground.

"Run!" She hissed to Maya, who was pale with fear. Gil grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to the group. Petra was signaling everyone that she knew a way out.

Four villagers held her to the floor, red eyes deceiving, glowing. It gave a sick presence, a presence of fear.

She suddenly felt a searing pain in her head that made her shut her eyes tightly. Why is this happening? she thought, her mind racing. All she felt was anger and fear, making her head feel like it was going to explode.

"STOP!" She screamed, eyes shooting daggers.

And then suddenly, to her surprise, to everyone's surprise, the villagers stopped. They were still, motionless.

Jesse's eyes widened, but she had no time to question it. She quickly pried herself from the villagers' grip and started to follow her friends. Petra had found an exit by punching some glass in the wall, and everyone was running outside.

"What is happening?!" PAMA screeched. "GO!"

Jesse was out of breath as Petra helped her jump out of the treasure room and outside. She landed with a thump

"Are you okay?" She asked, while they ran. In the front were Axel and Olivia, followed by the Blaze Rods and Ivor. Jesse looked behind her as she raced, to see the people destroying the treasure room, making way to follow them.

She saw PAMA's grin. That sickening, angry, evil grin. Those blood red eyes.

Red that made her freeze, panic, stop with fear.

First, it was Lukas, and now PAMA? What the heck was happening? Why her?

Why couldn't she be happy?

She was so filled with pain it felt like she was going to burst.

Jesse turned back to the redhead, faking a weak smile, ignoring how much it hurt inside.

"I'm fine."
