A Spark: Part 27
Hapiness is a luxury. Many people have it, but many take it for granted, and that is how it is lost.
It is a ray of sunshine, but it can easily be covered by some clouds and rain. And it leaves you cold and wet, wishing you still had it.
Jesse never took it for granted, so how did she lose it? How did the storm start?
What if it never ended?
Maybe that happiness was just an illusion. But this time, she was determined to find real happiness.
It happened all too suddenly. All at once, the heart cracked, it's glow shining bright before dying out, and exploded into pieces. Redstone was scattered everywhere and parts of the building were even more wrecked than before. Jesse was thrown to the floor with a painful thud and the sword flew out of her hands.
Cracking and electricity sounded the room, like a broken machine running around in circles.
The chipped people that Olivia, Maya, Aiden, Petra, and Lukas were fighting slumped to the ground all at once. Water was spilled and buckets were emptied. They looked at each other, relief on their faces as they let out breaths.
Jesse got up from the floor, clutching her head as she wobbled, still out of balance as her head ached like crazy. Her feet took one step, and then another-she lost her balance and fell downwards, only to reach a pair of arms wrapped around her.
"Jesse." Lukas exclaimed, voice filled with relief as he helped her up. He put her arm around his back to support her. "You did it."
She tried to smile and say something in return, but her head wouldn't stop aching. There was a throb, and she groaned painfully, shutting her eyes tightly.
"Hey, you okay?" He asked, concerned. She opened her eyes and nodded, massaging her forehead and trying to get rid of the ache.
"Yeah-thanks."
Besides, PAMA was defeated. She wouldn't let a little headache bring down the mood.
Lukas helped her walk towards her friends, not realizing she was limping. Her cut on her arm had also opened up again, and the bandages were stained red. She had bags under her eyes, her hair was messy, and she looked...well, horrible. But otherwise, she managed to put a smile on her face. And not a fake smile, a real smile. One she hadn't done in a long time.
Everyone looked at her and began to cheer, celebrating at the defeat of the computer.
"You know," Lukas said thoughtfully. "I thought I'd never see that smile again."
Jesse's green eyes sparkled.
"Me neither, blondie." She whispered, loud enough for him to hear, before placing her lips on his.
Yay!! Lukesse! Finally! Tbh I was contemplating whether or not to put that ending but I decided they should have some happiness.
So, PAMA is defeated and Lukas and Jesse are starting to get back together. Not much to write about now, huh?
The next part should be coming out real soon, the happy ending to the story ;)
