Petra sighed as Jesse headed back to her room and closed the door. Lukas had been in this situation twice already.

The redhead placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a pat in sympathy. He smiled sadly.

"I'll try talking to her Lukas, sit tight."

"It's not like I have anything else to do." He replied, and then thanked her. She followed Jesse to her room.

The door opened with a slight creak, which made the green-eyed female jump and turn rapidly. Her arms dropped to her sides and sighed with relief.

"Good. It's just you." She said, not unkindly, and forced a smile. "Need anything?"

Petra shut the door behind her and gave her a stern look.

"Jesse, I know this had been hard for you, with everything that's going on. PAMA, and then...and then Lukas..."

Her gaze turned hard. Not to Petra, but the name itself.

"But to do this, we have to work together, trust each other, more then ever before. We all need each other Jesse. So can you please...can you please just talk to him?"

The raven-haired girl looked away from her, an unknown expression crossing her face.

"You already know he doesn't need me."

"But he does!" Petra cried, exasperated, throwing her arms out. "You don't see the look on his face?! The way he tries to catch your eye? He wants to apologize Jesse, excuse himself for the things he's done-"

"Yeah, he wants to excuse himself." Jesse said harshly. "To make the guilt on his shoulders go away. It's not that easy Petra. Not that simple."

"I know it is Jesse. Believe me, I know." She replied, forcing her tone to soften. "You don't-you don't have to forgive him, or forget what happened. You just need to talk to him, and you need to-at least try to fix this."

She wraps her arms around Jesse in an embrace.

"I know it hurts. And it hurts me knowing that my best friends are like this. But for now, if we don't trust each other something bad is going to happen. PAMA already has the advantage, we don't need to give it any more."

Jesse sighs, hugging Petra back.

"Okay. I'll do it. For you, and for the purpose of defeating PAMA.  Just...give me some time, alright?"

The redhead smiled and nodded.

"Thanks Jesse, you won't regret it."

This is the crappiest chapter I have ever written :/

Sorry I got kinda lazy with this chapter lol, but they'll hopefully get better when they actually start doing something. Woo-hoo! Action.

Ugh, but I'm starting to get writer's block. Halp
