Sonics P.O.V

It was a nice day. Shadow was having a barbecue at his house. He INVITED me and my friends. Probably something Rouge made him do. I wasn't complaining though.

Everyone was here, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Cream, Cheese, The Chaotix, Blaze, and even Silver. He decided to live here in the past for a while. He even got a house to stay in.

We haven't seen Egghead for a while now, but I bet he's hiding in his lair or something. Better for me, I don't have to worry about it for a while. And I get to kick back and relax! When Egghead's around I don't get the time to do stuff like this and hang out with everyone. I never really see everyone together like this... it's nice.

"Hot dogs are ready!" Rouge announced. I ran over with a plate and a bun immediately. Shadow was muttering something and I caught some words. 'Rouge' and 'Faker'. Yep, same old Shadow. I grabbed the hot dog and ran inside Shadow's house for some chili and enjoyed a fresh, steaming, and delicious chili dog. Best thing in the world.

I sat against a tree as I ate and put one of my hands behind my head and enjoyed my fresh chili dog in the cool air.

Shadows P.O.V

I can't believe I let Rouge talk me into this, why couldn't she have done it? I could've been searching for Chaos Emeralds before Eggman even had a chance. How could these idiots just sit here and relax? Eggman was out there building something, and here we are, having a barbecue. I can't believe it. I don't even like having people at my house, yet here was everyone I knew in my backyard. I told them not to enter the house but I saw Sonic run in and out a few times which really annoyed me. Everything about this BBQ was stupid. And POINTLESS!

I must've been muttering again because a few people were staring at me. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I grunted and went to a spot to sit down, somewhere in the shade where it was dark. I saw the lawn chair and headed toward it, but before I could ever sit down, Sonic zipped by and knocked my plate of food in my face.

Now I was mad. That Faker had pulled the last straw. He enters my house when I explicitly said not to, he touches my stuff without permission, and now my lunch is splattered on my face because of his carelessness. The familiar red aura surrounded me as I felt my rage build up. I was gonna teach him to listen.

The red tinted the edge of my vision as I wiped the food off my face onto the ground. I teleported in front of him and he backed away slowly waving his hands in front of him.

"Shads, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to splatter that food on your face! I was just running by to get another dog!" He pathetically explained. That nickname, I told him not to call me that! He must've seen my rage because he ran on top of my house, frightened like a cat. I teleported again in front of him and lifted him up with one hand by the neck.

"You stupid idiot! You just don't listen!" I growled. He curled up into a spiky ball and tackled me. That just made me madder. Soon we were having a huge brawl on the roof of my house.

Silvers P.O.V

I saw Sonic blow that food into Shadow's face and knew he was done for. Now they're battling on Shadow's roof. They shouldn't be fighting! This was a day to be nice to each other! I figured that I should try to stop it.

I flew up using my psychokinesis and ran-in between them "STOP!!" They kept coming and I had to dive out of the way before getting hit, myself. "Guys, we shouldn't be fighting! Come on! It's supposed to be a nice day to hang out, not fight!" I tried to explain, but they kept fighting. I went for the last resort.

Holding up my hands I froze them, with my powers. Shadow teleported out of it and kicked me in the back, knocking me down. "DON'T GET IN THE WAY, FERN HEAD!!" hissed Shadow. Fern head?! Wow, harsh...

I tried to stop them but Shadow kept hitting me. Eventually, I ended up in the fight as well. Dark clouds began to form overhead as I heard Knuckles, Vector, and Espio bet on who would win. The fight lasted for who knows how long and I looked up and saw the clouds.

"Guys! Maybe we should fight on the ground!" I yelled shakily.

"SHUT UP. I'M TRYING TO KILL MISTER BLUE BLUR OVER HERE!" Shouted Shadow. Again I tried to split them up, but ended up being held up by the neck by Shadow in one hand and Sonic in the other.

I heard thunder and saw a flash, then I blacked out.
