Dear Readers,

I was asked by The Best of Me, movie campaign (a film adaptation of the same novel by Nicholas Sparks, the author of The Notebook and A Walk Remember) to create an original story and I was absolutely thrilled since I have a huge soft spot for romance and I admittedly cried when I watched The Notebook. I've had this story in my head for a while so being asked to do this, gave me the courage I needed to finally start writing it and so I'm really thankful the opportunity. I wanted to write a story set in the 1950s/1960s that explored complicated friendships, first loves and the complexity of life. I hope you enjoy this story, as much I enjoyed writing it. Oh and do yourself a favour, go watch The Best of Me when it comes out October 17th!
