Sunlight poured into your window, the light chirping of birds managing to stir you from your sleep. Peeking your eyes opened, you looked at the sun's low position in the sky.

"... OH GOD I HAD TO leave!!" You shouted in alarm as you stumbled out of bed and quickly got changed into the uniform. Your hands glided over the complicated belts like butter. "Well shit!! What a perfect day to be late!" You groaned to yourself as you literally slid out of your office and out the door. You ran down the hallway as fast as you could. On the way, you passed your assistant, Anaka.

"W-wait! Sergeant!!!" She called after you when you zoomed past her.

"Sorry Anaka!!! I have to go!!!" You yelled back to your blonde haired, blue-eyed friend. You quickly ran out to the stable and grabbed your horse. You quickly mounted her and rode out of the stables, leaving dust behind in your wake.

You arrived at the underground entrance in Wall Sina and dismounted your horse before running down the stairs like a madwoman. Down one of the streets you saw Erwin, Mike, and two other Corps members. Kneeling down on the ground were three people, who you assumed were the ones you had been assigned to catch.

'Levi, Farlan Church, and Isabel Magnolia.' You thought while calmly walking over to them. One of the soldiers saw you and immediately saluted.

"Sergeant Y/n!" She called out boldly. The other three saw you and saluted as well. You stopped next to Mike.

"Well, to be honest, I didn't expect you to catch them so fast. Either that, or I slept in way too late," you said awkwardly, scratching your head with a sheepish smile.

"Didn't you tell Anaka to wake you?" Mike asked. Your face dropped.

"Uh... kinda slipped my mind." You laughed lightly. Erwin sighed quietly.

"For a Sergeant, you're quite irresponsible at times," he said quietly.

"Tell that to Shadis," you replied flatly. You strode up to the three and stopped in front of them.

"Yo. I'm Sergeant Y/n L/n of the Survey Corps. And I'm assuming you three are the people we needed to catch?" You asked, looking between the three of them. The one who you knew as Farlan gawked at you.

"Sergeant? But you look so young," he said, looking you up and down. You shrugged.

"Because I am. I'm probably younger than you. I'm sixteen," you replied with a smug smile. "Alright, well since I just got here, hope you don't mind me asking a few questions to make up for it." You tried to hide your excitement.

"I'm assuming you used 3dmg, and if so, where did you get it? Or how did you learn it?" You asked. No one answered, which you can respect. Your eyes bounced between all three of them. "Hm..." You hummed as you walked in front of Levi.

"You're the one in charge, right? Where did you learn to fight?" You asked. Levi slowly looked up at you, scowling. His eyes gleamed with homicidal thoughts. You let out a whistle. "Feisty, aren't you?" You gestured to Mike. He then grabbed Levi's head and slammed it down into a puddle of dirty water. You sighed and squatted down in front of him.

"Come on, you're making this way too hard for not only us, but for you too," you whined lightly. You then sighed. "Alright, I'll asked once more, where did you learn to use maneuver gear?" Levi still stayed silent, glaring up at you.

"From no one! We learnt it by ourselves!" Farlan suddenly exclaimed.

"Self-taught huh?" You repeated.

"It's just so we're able to rise even a bit in this dirty garbage place! People who're used to the sunlight like you guys won't understand!" He added.

"I'll admit, sunlight is nice, but I can adapt either way," you said, "Doesn't matter to me." Isabel's brows furrowed.

"What're you saying?"

"I lived here until I was twelve. When I joined the military, but that's a story for another time," you explained briefly, quickly dismissing the subject.

"Enough! Let Levi-bro go! Don't get cocky just because you're soldiers!" Isabel exclaimed, doing a complete 180.

"Alrighty. Mike." You gestured with a nod of your head. He nodded back while yanking Levi back up again, still holding tightly to his hair. You and him locked gazes, his silver eyes cold as steel.

"How 'bout we make a deal?" You offered with excitement dancing in your eyes.

"Deal?" He repeated.

"Yeah. I'll, or we'll, let all of your crimes go unpunished if you join the Survey Corps," you explained. Farlan and Isabel quietly gasped.

"And if I refuse?" He inquired.

"Idiot, I'm not forcing you to join. I'm giving you a choice. You can either come with us and live a better life with your friends... or live an even shittier life with the Military Police," you clarified.

'Wow, my compromising skills are 10/10.' You thought. He was quiet for a moment.

"Fine," he agreed. He straightened up and shook some dirty water off of him. "I'll join the Survey Corps." He scowled, eyes shining. You smirked at him.

"Great!" You exclaimed while standing up. You bound over to Erwin. "I'll let you deal with them for now, but I want to put them in my squad." You whispered it in his ear.

"You don't have a squad," he replied, staring at you blankly.

"Now I do." Your smirk only widened, and he just sighed.

Soldiers were lined up in rows in the courtyard with Commander Shadis and you standing in front of them. The trio was standing next to you.

"From today, these three will be fighting alongside you all! Introduce yourselves!" He yelled, gesturing to Levi to go first.

"The name's Levi," he said with a slight sigh, crossing his arms. People were taken aback by his coarse attitude.

"Levi... the first thing you'll need is some goddamn discipline," Shadis growled out.

"Commander," you whispered harshly. His eyes jumped over to you before he nodded and silenced himself. You may not be his superior, but you can whoop ass if you needed too. That's why he listens to you, but don't get me wrong, you do know your place in the Survey Corps.

"Next!" Shadis called. Isabel walked up, and took a deep breath in.

"I'm Isabel Magnolia! Nice ta meetcha!" She said cheerfully. Then last was Farlan.

"My name... is Farlan Church!" He introduced while saluting.

"Farlan, your hand is upside down," you whispered to him. He looked down at his hand before flipping it back around, causing you to chuckle.

"Sergeant Y/n. I believe you wanted them to join your squad?" Shadis asked, sounding more incredulous than not. You nodded in confirmation.

"Yeah, I'll look after these three," you replied, glancing at them. He nodded.

"Alright," he agreed.

"As of now, these three will be your comrades! Treat them with respect, no matter their attitude! You don't need be friends with them, but if I see or hear anyone disrespect them, you will have to deal with me. Understood?!" You called out, a dangerous glint in your eyes.

"Yes!" They all saluted. You smiled lightly.

"Wow!" Isabel exclaimed. You looked at her, puzzled, as well as everyone else.

"What?" You asked while tilting your head.

"The way they listen to you without question is incredible!" Her eyes were wide with excitement.

"Oh... well... thank... you... ?" You replied awkwardly. You then cleared your throat. "Same thing goes for you three as well. Actually, I'm not worried about you two as much." You deadpanned at Levi.

"Tch." Is all he said before looking away. You sighed quietly.

"This is going to be interesting..." You murmured to yourself.
