Chapter 1
It was so unreal the day you saw the Avengers up close. You couldn't help but stare, amazed by the powers each individual possessed. You know you shouldn't be where you were. They had evacuated the airport hours ago, but there was something nagging you to stay. To watch them fight.
You stood hidden inside the airport it's self, unable to un-glue your eyes from the action in front of you. Your brain was screaming at you to just leave, it isn't safe to be here. But your legs failed to cooperate. The faint grunts and yelps coming from the Avengers as they each took a turn wailing their fits at each other. But you could see some where conflicted, not wanting to hurt their friend but also not wanting to lose.
CRASH! The sound of glass and heavy boot steps made it's way towards you. You turned to see two men, one with a odd metal backpack and the other sporting all black with a metal arm. You looked up, seeing someone in a well fitted red and blue suit, swing from a wire? You weren't exactly sure. You quickly got up from your hiding spot, adrenaline pumping fast through you. You wanted to follow them. But you knew that was a suicide mission, so you decided to watch from a distance.
Luckly you did, seeing the person in the red and blue suit throw a plexiglass advertisement bored at the man with the metal arm, nearly breaking the pillar he was hiding behind in two. You couldn't help but be amazed, but also cautious. You began to mentally curse yourself. Why didn't you leave when you had the chance, you were way over you head but it was too late to leave now. Either you leave and get hurt or you get caught and go to a maximum facility prison for the next 10 years. Neither sounded better than the other. So you stayed, even if you knew what you were doing was highly dangerous.
You watched the three men battle it out, flinching ever so often as your body reacts to debris flying towards you, but luckly missing. Your just waiting for yourself to run out of luck. No way can someone be this lucky. You knew karma will get you back some day.
You found yourself scooting closer to them, everytime they disappear from sight you'd get closer, desperately trying to view as much as the action as possible. You saw the man in the suit fly out the window, it looked like a bird or drone knocked him out. You looked around not seeing anyone until you heard faint talking coming from the very broken glass railing, belonging to the staircase.
You quietly tip-toed over, avoiding as much debris as you can. You peaked over the broken railing, see the two other men laying on the ground being tied down with more wire? Honestly you still wasn't sure. You watched as they both glared at each other. Each mumbling to one another so you weren't sure what they said. All you knew is they were not happy with eachother. They started to tear the wire stuff off, which seemed harder said than done. You watched as they peeled the last of the wire stuff off their hands. You peaked over more, trying to get a good look at them.
The guy with the metal backpack sported red and black eye goggles. Basically his entire outfit was some variations of red and black. He also sported short buzzed black hair. You glanced over at the metal armed man. He sported dark shoulder length hair, with a slight stubble. He had a alot of pouches on his belt, assuming they had knives and bullets in them. See as he had a pistol strapped to his thigh. He wore a leather fingerless glove over his metal arm. Now that you get a better look at it, it has a red star painted on the upper shoulder part.
"HEY!" you nearly fell off the railing from how hard you jumped. You looked down to see the brunette looking up at you. Your face paled as you scrambled to get on your feet. Your heart pumping so fast in your chest you could almost feel it trying to leap from your ribcage. You hurriedly ducked behind a knocked over kiosk phone case stand, holding your breath. You could hear his heavy combat boots hit the tile floor as he got closer to where you hid.
"Hey, Bucky! We don't have all day, Cap is counting on us!" Someone yelled which you assumed to be the guy with the red and black backpack. You heard the boots stop. A sigh was heard, which you couldn't tell who it was from. You anxiously bit on your bottom lip, waiting to see what happens. You heard the boot steps again, but this time they sounded like they were heading in the opposite direction. You let out a slow shaking sigh, relieved as you heard both pairs of foot steps vanish.
You got out from behind the kiosk, seeing both men are now gone. You arched over placing both hands on your knees, letting out a awkward laugh. So it seems your luck still hasn't ran out. But you began to think, Bucky? Why does that name sound so familiar? Bucky. You couldn't get it out of your head.
