3rd Person POV
Keefe slept for a lot of the day, or at least that's what he told Sophie he was doing. All she new was that he was in their apartment. She had set up a baby cam in her side of the room that just slightly peered into his room and she could see him lying on his bed, but he did have his back to the camera so she wasn't sure what he was doing.
She didn't know if he could see the camera or if he knew it was there, but he hadn't acknowledged it's existence yet.
Her and Biana were taking a walk around the block, trying to figure out what they were going to do when they started school tomorrow. Keefe wasn't in the best condition and Fitz had to pay off a $200 ticket from being pulled over.
School was starting today, but Sophie didn't want to leave Keefe in the apartment alone. And she really didn't want to let him go to school with his beast of a headache. So, she made sure all the windows were locks, made sure plenty of food was in the fridge, checked all of Keefe's hiding spots for beer and locked the door when she walked out. He was been sleeping when she'd left from all the pain medicine she had give him. Sophie met with Biana at the lobby of the dorm building and they both set off for their class. The dorm building was the school, so the lobby got pretty full pretty quickly. Everyone was hyped for their first day of school and Sophie couldn't argue.
She would be letting Keefe go to school, just because he still had a burning headache from his unfortunate actions the night before.
"Water, got it, nothing else," she told him as she collected her things for school. Keefe rolled his eyes, scrolling through his phone as he laid on the bed.
"Yes ma'am," he told her. Sophie rolled her eyes and snatched his phone from his hands. He sat up, his mouth opening like he was going to complain, but Sophie shook her head.
"Your headache will get worse the more you stare at a screen. Read a book or-" Sophie started. Keefe snatched his phone back from her, turning it back on.
"I'll draw a little later," he told her. She let his words sink in for a second.
"You draw?" She asked him. He nodded, running a hand through his hair as he continued to scroll through his Instagram.
Sophie bit her lip before patting his head and walking to Tam on the other side of the room. He shoving his stuff into his backpack. Sophie had gotten him enrolled in her school with Biana, Fitz, Linh, and Dex.
She still hadn't told him about her finding of his mysterious sister/brother relationship.
"Need any help?" She asked him as he shoved a notebook inside the black backpack. He shook his head, his neatly combed bangs swaying over his forehead. Once he was done loading his bag, she waved him out the door.
"Goodbye Keefe!" She called over her shoulder before shutting the door.
"Goodbye Foster!"
As the two of them walked down the hallway to the University main room, Sophie couldn't help remember the football rosters came out today. This school was good at staying up all night to cut and place boys into their schools football main team.
"How do you think you did at tryouts?" Sophie asked him. He bit his lip, his tongue playing with his lip ring as he shrugged.
"I think I did okay, but I wasn't the best, for sure," he told her. They continued down the large hallway and Sophie felt a little bit awkward with him not that she had this new information. She couldn't hold it all in herself, but she also couldn't let it out to him.
"Hey Sophie! You ready for this?" A new voice said from behind them. Sophie turned around to see the girls brown wavy hair bouncing off her shoulders and flying behind her figure. Her teal eyes were looking extra bright today.
"I'm a little nervous, but nothing to worry about," Sophie told her friend. Biana nodded, glaring at her brother and Dex for being so slow.
"Well maybe you'd be walking slower if you had to pay a $200 fine for speeding a few miles above the speed limit at midnight," Fitz pointed out when they had finally caught up with the group. Him and Dex had been getting along surprisingly well in the past couple of days and Sophie was glad. She would not have been able to handle their continuous whining.
"Quiet moping, we have school today! Biana told her brother, giving him a friends punch to the shoulder. His eyes glared down at his sister and he mumbled a few words under his breath.
"And we have school today," Fitz murmured, continuing past the group. The door were just up ahead, students already flooding into the school. Sophie took a deep breath, looking over to her friend. Biana shrugged and walked forward. Sophie wasn't sure if she really wanted to begin classes at Foxfire, but she had worked so hard for this. Tam reached a hand out to her when he noticed her face. Sophie looked down at his pale fingers and willingly grabbed it. he smiled, his pearly white teeth showing a bit as he walked forward.
"Here we go."
