Chapter 3: Through the Gates of Resolve
Asher was running down the stairs of the Jade Palace as the residents looked at him curiously.
"I wonder where Asher going?" A male pig questioned.
"I don't know he doesn't leave that often for missions since he is still a new addition to the Jade Palace," A rabbit commented.
Asher just continued on his way his mind only focused on Tigress.
'I'm coming to Tigress please be safe out there, kitty.' Asher thought, his determination burning brightly within him. His paws pounded against the stone floor with rhythmic urgency, each step echoing his resolve.
As he burst through the palace gates, the cool late afternoon air greeted him with a sharp bite. The transition from the warmth of the palace to the slightly cooler air of the Valley of Peace, as he rushed out of the valley to begin his journey to Forst Forest to find Tigeress.

The valley stretched before him, its beauty marred only by the ever-encroaching cold of the Frost Forest. Asher raced along the winding path that led away from the warmth of the valley, his breath forming small clouds of steam in the air. The terrain changed quickly from lush green meadows to rocky outcrops and patches of frost. The ground beneath his paws hardened to ice, each step crunching loudly in the silence of the approaching dusk.
The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows over the valley as it began its descent. The golden light of the late afternoon bathed the landscape in a warm glow, a stark contrast to the growing chill of the forest. Asher’s fur bristled against the cold, but his determination was unwavering. His thoughts were on Tigress, and he knew he had to reach the Frost Forest before nightfall.
He navigated the rugged terrain with practiced ease, his instincts guiding him. The path grew steeper, the snow becoming deeper with each step. His breath came in measured puffs as he pushed forward, the weight of his mission pressing heavily on his shoulders. The journey was grueling, but he pressed on, fueled by the thought of Tigress and the urgency of his task.

As he finally neared the edge of the Frost Forest, the wind howled louder, a foreboding sound that seemed to whisper of the dangers lurking within. The trees loomed like silent sentinels, their branches heavy with snow. Asher paused for a moment, his keen eyes scanning the dense forest ahead. The cold seemed to seep into his bones, but he shook off the chill and forged ahead.
The forest greeted him with a deep silence, broken only by the crunch of snow underfoot and the occasional rustle of wind through the trees. The air was frigid, each breath a painful reminder of the harsh conditions. Asher’s senses were on high alert, his nose working overtime to pick up any trace of Tigress. He moved cautiously, aware of the potential dangers that lurked in the shadows of the forest.
The snow-covered ground was littered with fallen branches and the occasional animal track. Asher followed the faint scent trail left by Tigress, his sharp eyes searching for any sign of her. The scent was faint but discernible, leading him deeper into the heart of the forest. He moved with purpose, each step calculated and deliberate.
The sky darkened as nightfall approached, the last vestiges of daylight slipping away. Asher paused to take a deep breath, the cold air stinging his lungs. He had to find Tigress before the darkness swallowed the forest completely. His resolve was tested as the forest grew colder and the path more treacherous, but he pressed on, driven by the thought of her safety.
Suddenly, a faint rustling sound caught his attention. Asher’s ears perked up, and he paused, his body tensing. The sound was distant but unmistakable—someone, or something, was moving through the forest. Asher’s heart raced as he moved cautiously towards the source of the noise, his instincts on high alert.
He pushed through the dense underbrush, the snow crunching loudly beneath him. The rustling grew louder, more distinct. Asher’s breath came in ragged puffs as he emerged into a small clearing, his eyes scanning the area. There, lying among the snow-covered ground, was a figure slumped in exhaustion.
It was Tigress.
Her fur was matted with snow, and her breathing was shallow. Asher’s heart leaped with a mixture of relief and concern. He hurried to her side, carefully checking her condition. Her body was cold, and a feverish flush was visible on her cheeks despite the icy environment.
“Tigress,” he said softly, his voice tinged with worry. He quickly set to work, unpacking the medical supplies he had brought with him. He needed to act fast to stabilize her condition.
Asher’s paws moved with practiced efficiency as he applied the heating pads and administered the fever-reducing medication. He wrapped her in the extra clothes he had packed, trying to warm her up. The cold of the forest seemed to seep into his very bones, but he focused on his task, his thoughts solely on Tigress’s recovery.
He carefully picked her up, his eyes scanning the area for a safe place to rest for the night. He soon spotted and came and took her inside there to rest he was determined to keep Tigress safe and get her back to her regular strong self again.
Well, here you go the third chapter of Snowy Cold. In this chapter, Asher successfully finds Tigress, and now he is going to do everything in his power to help heal her.
