Shedding Release
"Damn you Itachi Uchiha!" His rage fueled his tone. With nothing more than the darkness around him, he couldn't find his way. The last bit he remembered was his once possible vessel had overused the curse mark, thus giving way for the Sannin to come out into the world once again. He felt derailed from his goals like he was close to obtaining from the cursed clan. Then again that could be the reason for his folly. Being sealed withing a spiritual sword that was the least of his problems. He couldn't go back without the means of the outside world. The main issue was trying to find a way out and frankly, Orochimaru did not have the clue to escape.
He assumed he was floating in the nothingness considering he can't feel his feet or anything for that matter. Trying to find a sense of direction within a sealed space. He was starting to lose his patience from being in there too long. For all, he knew it could be years after Sasuke's and Itachi's battle. Orochimaru was considering the fact maybe Itachi could have maybe involved in a genjutsu in the mix so that even undoing the seal of the spirit weapon would cause more trouble. The trouble that would be worth it in the end.
"Once I escape this void, I will have them both!" Infuriated was one thing but the adult knew not to lose his focus but in this place of absolute nothingness. He just couldn't help but feel a great deal urgency causing him to become impatient. His sanity was being challenged by many things sickness, forever progression halt from his teacher, and those damned Uchiha! He was killed once now he gets sealed, he rather is killed at least he wouldn't have to deal with the presence of time.
The eight-headed serpent Jutsu failed because of Itachi, he was sealed by Itachi, and forced to have a limited supply of Sharingan users thanks to Itachi. What more can the guy add onto the list? Oh, the revenge-driven little brother that used his curse mark as well as those hatred induced eyes to kill him! Yet here he was, he knew he miscalculated the extent the older brother took into consideration, that much was certain. He needed a plan.
Well, maybe hand signs? No, he couldn't feel or see his hands, to begin with. Chakra? His control and manipulation were as poor as a lowly genin. What else could he do? As far he could tell there wasn't any Chakra present around him but he could tell it was there otherwise the seal would not have held him down this much.
Finally taking in one last look around before exhausting his mind. There was a small light nearby. Something he did not notice before, probably from his mental struggle to solve the situation. Making an attempt to approach the small light became a hole the size of a door nob.
"Oi Deku! What's that you got there?" A voice announced from the outside. Rather young, the Sannin noticed. Looking into it, he saw a boy holding onto a small gourd. It was red, the same color as the sealing gourd the Uchiha had sealed him in.
"It's n-nothing Kaachan!" The boy tightly holding and hiding the gourd away from the bullies. The other child started to get excited. His hands started to combust small explosions. Orochimaru waited for something to happen. At least a moment where he can assess the situation to make an escape.
"Come on Deku, you cannot hide stuff from me. Let me just take that bottle." In the small hole of light, the sealed Sannin spectated the childish confrontation a bit more. What looks like the reserved child was trying hard to protect the gourd. Unfortunately, he did not last long after the other boy blasted him.
"The hell is this? Some kind of antique? It looks like trash!" The blonde boy declared before he threw the gourd into the ground. That instant, the sannin's world became bright and clear as the day he had seen through the hole.
"No! That was my mother's heirloom!" The beta-child cried in tragedy while the blond laughed at the child's tears. "Well not anymore!" Immediately what followed was the daily beating the green-haired child had received. Not twenty minutes later, the sad child was now a beaten one. Crying on the floor before a hissing sound caught his attention.
"Huh?" His eyes were wiped by his bruised and dirty arms so he can see where the sound was coming from. Suddenly he looked in the grass and saw a white snake stalking him. It was tiny, barely slithering towards the boy.
Izuku dropped down on his knees, his curiosity was leveling the emotional pain of a damaged heirloom. Reaching both hands forward he patiently waited for the snake to come towards him.
Orochimaru slithered towards the child, wrapping himself around the child's hands. He was confused as to where he was. Looking around, he saw that the buildings were different compared to the villages he once stayed in. They didn't hold that shinobi atmosphere towards it, he saw the clothes of his carrier. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Unfortunately, he couldn't talk, just looked and try to understand his situation. Even trying to muster as much Chakra but it was a futile effort. He would soon have to wait for his body to reformat a natural pace. Given he is small, it takes about an hour or so maybe more.
Izuku paid most of his attention to the white snake on the way home. Eventually, he even began talking to it, almost like an invisible companion.
"I wish I had a quirk. Then they would stop picking on me." Izuku admitted to the snake.
'Quirk?' The white snake thought as Izuku went up to the stairs.
Orochimaru saw the child, who was carrying him, stopped in front of an apartment door. He opened it, then announced his presence. The Sannin found this home life typical. Though it did raise the question as to what was happening? So far, he hadn't sensed any shinobi, this doesn't seem like any of the hidden villages but it big enough it could be, maybe this was just another town, also what's with those things in the sky? Or the weird contraptions that the child had passed? Some sort of transportation for civilians?
"Izuku! Dear, what happened?!" The sound of a woman took the Sannin-Snake away from his thoughts.
The child was on the verge of tears-scratched that-is currently crying. "Mom...I'm sorry, your heirloom..."
The older woman took notice that something was not on the child before hugging him. "It's okay Izuku, you matter more to me than some antique heirloom. Let's get you cleaned-Izuku is that a snake?" The mother went from calm and reassuring to really confused.
Izuku nodded. "Can I keep it?"
The woman gave a rather thoughtful expression. As if unsure they were able to keep slithering being. Orochimaru coiled around Izuku's shoulder from the child's hands. It stared at the woman before eventually, the only(physical) adult allowed the boy to keep him.
Izuku sat Orochimaru down by the desk, letting it wander. The slithering sannin was more or less unimpressed by the child but intrigued of the world more so.
He looked around to find a device similar to that of television but it was standing on its own little stands. Was this the future? Most likely a genjutsu considering the sannin knew he was alive. How odd though, to experience a weird development. During nightfall, he will make his escape before prying more information about where was he.
The child that was caring for him soon arrived with a bright smile on his face. If the snake didn't know any better than the child had not seen the shinobi life yet.
"Alright what to name you? Oh! What about Hebi?"
The white snake sweatdropped before getting annoyed. This child was utterly stupid, who the hell names their pets after the thing they exactly are. Even the Sannin was at least decent enough to give his pets/experiments names or at the very least numbers.
This child didn't really give the best first impressions. That much was certain with the endless amount of posters and weird dolls representing a hulking blonde man.
As the child turn in for the night, Orochimaru made his way to the ground, preparing for his shedding release. In case of an incident where he was sealed or killed, his body would reverse summon into the white snake, which would carry the knowledge and intellect that Orochimaru held. Once the snake(him), has deemed it safe, he would transform back into his original body. Most of it, as his essence is spread throughout the curse marks. Though he couldn't figure out why none of them are responding. Sasuke's, he understood, considering Orochimaru at the time was taking over until Itachi went and used the Sword of Totsuka. The rest is history.
The shedding began, Orochimaru came out of the skin of the snake. His first breath of air, he only had to use this twice now. The first time was when Jiraiya tried to stop him from leaving the village. That time, the hebi Sannin died after the confrontation but managed to flee before the body gave out.
Surprisingly it took him several more years before he had to resort to such a technique.
Standing on his two feet, it felt slimy and cold but really at this point he was used to it. Walking forward, the stumbling of his feet wasn't what he expected. Falling to his knees eventually his arms to gave in. Laying on the ground with disbelief, this was not supposed to happen. The curling of his fingers and toes were the only thing that was available to his control.
Shuffle Shuffle
The bedsheets of the boy unraveled. A somewhat sleepy child got out and walked to the source of the noise.
"Hebi-Chan?" Izuku slowly approached his pet snake, thanks to those eyes, the glow helped spot the snake. Only that, those eyes seem a little bigger but it was probably nothing.
Reaching down to pick his pet, Izuku suddenly woke up at the sensation. Something wet, actually oozy. Then came a low growl.
"Think twice before you touch me!" Both people in the room were shocked, but for a different reason though. Izuku was unsure if his pet snake could talk. Orochimaru couldn't believe the voice. It sounded soft, childish...and a little bit feminine?
"Um. Okay?" Izuku backed away before turning on his room lamp. The light illuminated part of the room. He was shocked even further. There was a person laying on the ground and leaving a trail of murky substance away from a shredded snake.
"What are you doing idiot?! Help me!" Izuku blushed at the mad person on the floor. Squeaking in surprise, he rushes and scoops up his pet snake. Setting Orochimaru down on his bed, Izuku was a bit hesitant and weirdly confused.
The person just kept looking at him. Anticipation was rising and tension thickening. Izuku gulped before asking the most prominent question in his mind.
"Who are you?"
Orochimaru was relieved and somewhat annoyed. This boy didn't know him?! Didn't they teach about the legendary Sannin in the academy?! With a groan, Orochimaru spoke in his new soft and feminine voice.
"My name is..." 'I don't think to tell the boy my name matters but for the sake of security alone.' "It's Mitsuki."
Suddenly the child gleamed with bright eyes and smile. "Wow, you have the same name as my auntie!"
Was that a good thing? According to the bright face of the child, the Sannin guessed so.
"But why are you here though?" The child asks another question.
"You see that shed skin over there? I was that snake." Orochimaru explained gesturing his eyes over to the molted skin.
"So you can turn into a snake?" There was a pregnant pause, for that moment Orochimaru thought that maybe the child had pieced it together who he was.
"That's so cool!" With the enthusiastic interest and curiosity, Izuku kept asking the Sannin more and more about himself. Eventually, after some time the reborn ninja didn't seem to mind. It's been a while since people that weren't ass-kissers like Kabuto, took any interest.
Still though, with the odd paralysis, the whole situation was nothing short of ridiculous. Being laid in a position that would seem subjective enough, a little boy talking with such innocence and interest, and for the fact that Orochimaru wasn't in his original form bothered him greatly.
"Listen, I know you still have more to ask but wait until morning. Then I will give you any answers you wish." Yea right. Like an S-Rank Criminal would even bother explaining anything to a child, a curious one at that.
"Okay." With some reluctance, the child got onto the bed and laid next to Orochimaru. Or Hebi-Chan.
The next morning~
"So, your name is Mitsuki Hebi?" Inko wanted clarification.
"Yes." The serpent girl confirmed.
"Who came out of a snake?"
"To be frank, I shed my skin."
"That my son just so happens to bring home."
"That is correct." Orochimaru or Mitsuki confirmed again.
Izuku's mother, Inko was facing an odd dilemma. On one hand, this girl could be a runaway that just so happens Izuku stumbled upon or an orphan with nowhere to turn too. Taking Izuku as refuge.
"Do you have any parents?"
"No."
"Okay...any family we can contact?"
"Nope."
Seriously this pale skin child raised many red flags for the mother. To add further distraction, her son was telling her how cool she was. Granted Inko knew that Izuku didn't have the best of friends or lack thereof, but this girl comes into their home, sleeps with her baby who was naked. Yet she was almost none violent or manipulative it seems.
"Do you want to stay here?" As much Inko didn't want to even bother. She just couldn't turn a blind eye to a little girl.
"Yes, please. If it's not to much trouble." At least the lass was polite.
With a heavy sigh, Inko relented and began to put some ground rules for Mitsuki. Simple ones that a child would understand. The pale skin girl looked over to the boy. This was a good place to get the knowledge of this world.
Turning back to her now adoptive guardian. She caught a glimpse of something interesting. A coffee mug was floating towards Inko's hands. Mitsuki didn't even sense any chakra. What was this ability? Can she manipulate space or gravity?
"What's with the look? You want something to eat?"
"No it's just...what did you do?" The girl gestures to the levitating mug.
"Oh you mean my quirk. I can bring small objects towards me."
"Quirk? What's that?"
"It's a genetic ability most people have."
So like a Kekkei Genkai?
"Like your ability to change into a snake. That's your quirk."
Huh? That's not a genetic ability that's the results of snake research and summons.
Inko got up then finished her coffee once she finished, she took Mitsuki by the hand and led her into the boy's room. Where they got a set of clothes on.
"Izuku! Come along, we need to get your friend some clothes."
"Kay!" The child rushed after the mother and adoptive daughter figure. The three of them left the apartment home as if it was just another day.
