Nathan's POV:

Jacob and I woke up early the next morning to get ready for training. We were still a bit nervous about it but we knew we had no other choice. We went to the dojo where Link, Little Mac, and Ash were waiting. Ash took my newly evolved Sylveon to train with the other Pokémon while Link and Little Mac started training us. It was a lot harder than we thought.

Link showed Jacob how to wield a sword while Little Mac showed me how to hit repeatedly and dodge almost instantly. When the day was half over we were already covered in sweat. Thankfully they let us take ten. Jacob and I sat next to a wall and started drinking some water.

Jacob: "How are you holding up, man?" He was breathing heavily, like he just came out of gym class.

Me: "Fine. *exhale* You?"

Jacob: "Good."

He took a drink of water. I wanted to tell him about my dream but Susan's words kept circling around in my head. "Don't tell anyone about this dream." Why did she say that?

Jacob: "How's Eve doing?"

Me: "Hmm? Oh, I'm not sure. I haven't heard from Ash yet."

At that very moment, Ash walked in with Pikachu and Eve by his side.

Jacob: "Ok look, here he is now."

Eve ran towards me and jumped into my arms causing me to fall down.

Eve: "Sylve!"

Me: "Hey, girl. How have you been?"

Eve: "Sylveon."

Me: I looked at Ash. "How's she been?"

Ash: "Well, her fighting has definitely improved But I feel she fights a lot better alongside you."

Me: "You really think so?"

Ash: "Yeah, I mean just look at Pikachu and me. We fight a lot better when we're together. Hey, would you like to do a quick battle?"

Me: "A Pokémon battle? You and me? Pikachu versus Eve?"

Ash: "Yeah, It'll be great."

Me: I looked at Eve. "What do you say, girl? Wanna have a battle?"

Eve: "Sylve, sylveon!"

Me: "Alright. Let's have ourselves a Pokébattle!"

3rd Person:

Nathan and Ash each got to opposite sides of the dojo. Nate was a little nervous because with Eve's new form came new attacks that he didn't know how to master. He took a deep breath and decided to give it his all. Nate then nodded at Ash to tell him he was ready.

Ash: "Alright, Pikachu, use quick attack!"

Pikachu started running towards Eve.

Nathan: "Eve, you too use quick attack!"

Eve and Pikachu were both running towards each other. When they hit it created an explosion that knocked them both back.

Nathan: "Eve, you ok?"

Eve: "Sylveon!"

Nathan: "Alright then. Use Fairy Wind!"

Eve put her ribbon like feelers together and a faint blue light began to show. She then spread her feelers wide open creating a gust of wind that went straight towards Pikachu.

Ash: "Quick, dodge it!" Pikachu jumped into the air avoiding the wind. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Pikachu's tail started to glow.

Pikachu: "Pika!"

Nathan: "Use Misty Terrain! Don't let Pikachu touch you!"

Eve released a thick blue mist that covered the battlefield. Pikachu's attack missed Eve. Pikachu could hardly see anything in the mist.

Nathan: "Use Moonblast!"

A pink orb shot towards Pikachu. It was a direct hit.

Pikachu: "Pika!"

Ash: "Pikachu!"

Nathan: "Use Moonblast again!"

Another blast was fired.

Ash: "Quick, Pikachu, dodge it!" Pikachu quickly got up and jumped high into the air. "Now, use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu: "Pika," A blast of lightning got shot at Eve. "CHUUU!" It was a direct hit. The mist lifted revealing a paralyzed Eve.

Nathan: "EVE!" Nathan ran over to Eve and picked her up "Are you ok?" She didn't speak. Her eyes opened gently. This situation reminded Nathan of the first fight they had with Dark Pit. "I'm sorry. I pushed you too hard again. We can end the battle if you want." These words caused Eve to jump out of Nathans hands. She stood in front of him looking at the ground doing nothing. "Eve?" One of her ribbon like feelers wrapped around Nathan's hand. All of a sudden, he could feel what she was feeling. He could sense what she sensed. Their hearts started beating in unison. Nathan put his head down too.

They both quickly raised their heads at the same exact time. They knew what they were going to do and how to do it. "Alright, Eve," Nathan said pointing his hand in the direction of their opponents. "Let's give it our all and win!" A combination of blue and pink energy surrounded Eve. "Now, use Moonblast!" A faint image of a blue moon appeared behind Eve as she powered up her attack.

Ash: "Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"

Pikachu's tail started to glow as he jumped towards Eve, spinning rapidly in the process. Eve finally fired the attack. Pikachu collided with it, but instead of breaking through there was a giant explosion that caused Pikachu to go crashing towards the ground.

Nathan: "Nice! Now use Quick Attack! Hit multiple times!"

Eve's whole body was now covered in pink and blue energy. She rushed towards him multiple times at lightning fast speed. Pikachu couldn't get out of it.

Ash: "Pikachu, use Thunder!"

Pika: "PIKA!"

A dark cloud formed above Pikachu and from it a bolt of lightning. Eve hit Pikachu right as the bolt hit causing her to get blasted away and tumble on the ground. Nathan could feel Eve's pain.

Ash: "We've got em now. Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!"

Pikachu: "PIKA," Pikachu ran towards Eve as his body was surrounded by yellow and blue electricity. "CHUUUUU!"

Nathan: "Come on, Eve! Get up! We have to win this!" Eve got to her feat, her body still surrounded with energy. "Now, use Last Resort!"

Eve jumped towards Pikachu. They both collided causing a huge explosion. Smoke filled the whole dojo. No one could see anything. It then started to clear. Pikachu was standing in front of Ash while Eve stood in front of Nate. They were both breathing heavily. Other than that, it was silent. Nathan and Ash were in shock.

The silence was soon interrupted by the sounds of clapping. Mindy, Lucas, and a couple more squids were near the entrance of the dojo.

Nathan's POV:

Soup: "Wow, that was awesome," an inkling with cyan ink said. "Can you do it again?"

Mindy: "Soup, did you not just see that battle? The Pokémon must be exhausted now."

Me: "Hey, Mindy. Who are your friends?"

Mindy: "Oh, well you already met Lucas, this is Soup," she pointed at the cyan inkling, "and that's Riley, Lucas' sister," she pointed at an inkling with lime green ink who was wearing a beanie.

Riley: "That was an amazing battle, right bro?" She bumped her elbow against Lucas.

Lucas: "Oh, uh, yeah, I guess. But who won?"

Ash: "That's a good question." Ash walked up with Pikachu on his head. "Who do you think won, Nathan?"

Me: "Oh, uh..." I thought for a moment before coming to a conclusion. "Shall we call it a draw?" I held out my hand for him to shake it.

Ash: "Sure. Let's call it a draw." He grabbed my hand and we shook. "Anyways I should go check on the other Pokémon, and get these two healed up."

Me: "Sounds good."

Ash took the Pokémon and left the dojo. We all waived goodbye.

Jacob: "So why are you guys here instead of doing turf wars?"

Mindy: "The Squid Sisters wanted us to give you these." Soup and Riley each handed Jacob and I a suit. One with a red tie and one with a blue tie. "They said it's for the grand celebration."

Soup: "speaking of witch, who you inviting?"

Me: "Wait, what?"

Soup: "You can't go to the party alone, you have to invite your 'number 1', if ya know what I mean."

Me: "Uh..."

Riley: "Soup, don't bother him with personal questions like that. Plus, it's not a party it's a celebration."

Soup: "Celebration, Smellebration. If there's cake it's a party."

We continued to chat until Link and Little Mac came back, then we continued our training until it was time for the Grand Celebration... or party... whatever.
