When I opened my eyes I could see Eve sleeping in front of me. I looked behind her and saw a fire. I sat up and looked around. We were in some kind of cave. Maia was leaning against a wall with her eyes closed. There were who other figures in the cave with us. They were taking care of something over the fire. I didn't see Midna anywhere. The two figures turned around and looked at me. I recognized them now. They were the Ice Climbers. (I'm going to be abbreviating them to "I C Boy" and "I C Girl" so you don't get confused on who's talking.)

I C Boy: "Oh good. You're up."

I C Girl: The Ice Climber Girl handed me a bowl of soup and a spoon. "Eat up. You need to regain your strength."

I stretched. I picked up the spoon and started eating. I was surprised on how good it tasted. It reminded me of the chicken noodle soup my mom use to make me on cold winter days.

Me: "Where are we?"

I C Boy: "You are in a cave in the Holly Jolly Mountains. Although right now it's not holly or jolly."

I C Girl: "There's a monster blizzard raging outside as we speak."

I C Boy: "We managed to bring you all in here before it hit."

Maia: "Not all of us. Midna is still out there." Maia's eyes were open now.

Me: "Did you two see a small figure covered in black?"

I C Girl: "We searched everywhere. all we could find was you two and your pokémon."

Maia: "Well you weren't searching hard enough."

Me: I put my soup down and stood up. "Maia, calm down. They just said-" Maia interrupted me.

Maia: "You want me to calm down?" She came towards me. "My best friend is out there getting frostbite and starving to death! And you want me to calm down?"

Me: "Hey, my best friend was taken by the creatures of twilight. He's probably in a worse state than Midna right now. For all I know he could be dead."

Maia: "So could Midna." It got quiet after that. Maia went back to where she originally was and leaned against the wall. "She would be here right now if you didn't care about your pet so much." She pointed at Eve who was still sleeping.

Me: "Pokémon are not pets. They're friends."

Maia: "Friends? How can that creature be a friend? All their good for are entertaining fights."

Me: "They don't just fight to make others happy. They fight to protect their trainers."

Maia: "Oh come on. How can that small creature possibly protect you?"

Me: "You may not see it but Pokémon can do amazing things. And when Eve evolves I know she will too."

Maia: "Eve?"

Me: "Yeah. I decided she needed a name so that's what I named her."

Maia: "Whatever. But what if your Pokémon doesn't evolve? What are you going to do then?"

Me: "Honestly, I don't care if Eve evolves or not. I know that no matter what Eve will always be on my side, and we'll be fighting to the bitter end."

Maia didn't say anything after that. She just huffed and rolled her eyes. It was at this moment when I remembered the picture Maia made was in my pocket. I pulled it out and unfolded it. It still looked the same. It wasn't wet or ripped in any way.

Maia: "Is that my picture?"

Me: I looked up at her. "Yes."

I C Girl: "Hey, those looks like the Heroes of Smash."

Me: "The Heroes of Smash?"

I C Boy: "Yep."

Me: "Who are the 'Heroes of Smash'?"

I C Boy: "They were the first humans to come to the Super Smash Bros. universe."

I C Girl: "They managed to banish Master Head and restore peace to our world."

Me: "Master Head?"

I C Boy: "Yes, that's him right there." He pointed at the face that was behind the heroes. Before I could say anything else Maia snatched the paper out of my hands.

Me: "Hey."

Maia: "You didn't ask if you could see or touch it."

Me: "You gave me the scrapbook so I could look at it."

Maia: "That doesn't mean you can destroy it. And I want my scrapbook back."

Me: "Sure. Let me just go back to Smash City, get it for you, and die along the way."

Maia: "Oh please. That's the last thing we need. If you die then there will be no one to destroy Master Head."

Me: "Wait. I thought the Ice Climbers said he was already dead."

I C Girl: "Actually, we said he was banished."

Me: "So he's still alive? And he's coming back?"

Maia: "Yes, no thanks to you."

Me: "What do you mean no thanks to me? I haven't done anything since I first stepped in this weird universe. The only thing I've been trying to do is survive."

Maia: "And what a great job you've been doing so far."

Me: I moved closer to her. "What's that suppose to mean?"

Maia: She moved closer to me. "Ridley would have killed you if I hadn't had shown up in time."

Me: "What is your problem? Why are you always angry?"

Maia: "I don't have a problem. You're the one with the problem."

Our heads were almost touching. I could feel her anger coming out of her head like a fire. The Ice Climbers got in between us to try and get us to stop.

I C Boy: "Enough, both of you!"

I C Girl: "Arguing isn't going to solve the problem. Let's just all get some rest and we'll solve this all out when the sun rises."

I looked at Maia who looked at me. I could tell she was very angry. I let out a sigh. I didn't say anything as I went over to Eve and sat down. It was now when I noticed my bowl of soup had knocked over. I picked it up and moved it out of the way. I laid down trying not to look at Maia. 'Tomorrow will be better' I thought.
