Chào các bạn! Vì nhiều lý do từ nay Truyen2U chính thức đổi tên là Truyen247.Pro. Mong các bạn tiếp tục ủng hộ truy cập tên miền mới này nhé! Mãi yêu... ♥

Here you go.

I see where you're coming from, but I have to say that I politely disagree. Firstly,  not all of the youtubers who are publishing books are unintelligent and uneducated. Phil Lester (AmazingPhil) even has an English degree, so in your comparison to doctors that would be like having a pre med degree and a medical degree.

Secondly, I personally feel it's a brilliant thing that youtubers are extending into other areas of media. They have interesting views that differ from the more traditional world views of print media and all of the older authors. Not to mention that the fact that they have demographics that may lean towards the younger side means that they know what younger viewers want, which is more than many YA authors can say. Reading is a very healthy way to exercise your brain and learn new things, but unfortunately many children and teenagers don't find real reason  to do it. When YouTubers write books, they know their target audience well, what they like and don't like. If they write a book, one of their viewers is far more likely to pick up their book than some book they've never heard of that was written twenty years ago by an author that was well into their fifties at the time of release.

That's not even including the creative and original content they produce is often more entertaining than your typical 300 page novel about how the nerdy girl dated the jock and became prom queen. Honestly, I feel like many novels out there are just the same plot with characters that have different names but the same personality and motivations as every other stock standard YA protagonist in existence.

My personal favorite author is VE Schwab, and everyone that I know of who has read her works has also fallen absolutely in live with her, including my younger sister, both my parents, and elderly grandmother. Her works really speak to the audience because she isn't afraid to try something new. She breaks stereotypes in a way that is fresh and exhilarating, unlike the way that many authors sell the same thing with the genders swapped or the bad guy is actually not bad but has a generic backstory and motivation.

Back to YouTube. I think it's fantastic that although social media icons may express themselves primarily at first through newer internet mediums, they are also not afraid to try something different and bring a new spin to classic forms of entertainment. I don't see why someone has to attend many years of university to be able to write books. I think if your content is good, and a publisher likes it, that's all you need. And despite what you think, many YouTubers release books for the sole purpose of sharing ideas and/or entertaining or inspiring their devoted viewers.

Noodlerella, a popular YouTuber, was nearing the end of her book (a fictional story about a British Boarding school), and she was run over by a car. A car hit her and completely crushed parts of her body, and she still continued to write her book before the final date. That is not what someone who was only in it for money would do. If she wanted money, she could easily have played up the fact that she was hit by a car and tried to get sympathy for that. Instead, she thanked viewers for their kindness and support in her time of need and kept on writing her book and producing video content just to satisfy her viewers and express herself creatively through her story. She started writing the book as soon as she finished university, dedicated so much of her life to it, and I think it's unfair of you to say she doesn't deserve to be published simply because she's a YouTuber.

So I say that YouTubers should be able to write and publish as many books as they want to, and they should feel free to explore ad many other forms of entertainment as they like. Radio shows and podcasts, movies, books, tours and theatrical stage performances. I don't think that their origins on YouTube are fair enough grounds to ban them from exploring different options in life.

If someone wants to write a goddamn book then by jove I say we should let them.
