Chapter 4
Third person pov
If being gay is a sin then God take Sasuke down. He's ready to douse himself in rainbow fluids if it'll get Lennox to so much as breathe in his direction. Sasuke is not just 'down bad', as they call it. Oh no, he has far surpassed that. He is crawling through the fucking trenches, you guys. He is dodging kunai, explosive tags, and so much more, all for the sake of his blossoming love. He will drag himself to victory and nothing is going to stop him. Not the academy, not his trauma, and definitely not Itachi. Sasuke has his priorities, and though they are set in goddamn stone, they are the furthest thing from straight. Case closed.
"Good morning, Lennox!" Another morning, another day of being unequivocally, head over heels in love with his redheaded angel that was clearly sent down by whatever higher power has chosen to take pity on Sasuke's tragic little life. Lennox was the only reason he gets up in the morning anymore. Sasuke goes to sleep every night for the sole purpose of getting to see him again sooner. However, Uchiha boy simply could not get yesterday of his head. Normally, he found himself ready to tackle the following days headfirst. It was rare he should find himself caught up in the past like this, but how could he not? He'd spent the whole day with Lennox. Proof that his life is nearing its peak. That peak being him and Lennox finally being together and living happily ever after, thank you for asking. It's on the horizon. Sasuke is sprinting full speed. It will not escape him.
Yesterday had been a literal dream, but like, in real life. He had gotten to see the inside of Lennox's home. Well, part of it, but he would take any crumb he could get no matter how big or small. He swore he could still smell it in the air. The smell of spiced apples, flowers, and fresh soil. Best day of his life. Unmatched. Sasuke had learned so much about his crush all in just one day, and had made some moves that could be easily labelled as 'pro gamer'. Fill his cup, put some liquor in it, because this entire ordeal deserves a speech and cheers of its own.
"A-Ah, good morning, Sasuke." Lennox popped to his feet like the perfect, adorable, flawless, faultless, gorgeous, cute, soft, beautiful, delightful, charming, ravishing, graceful, exquisite, magnificent, lovely, did he mention adorable, because adorable-- boy he just so happened to be, giving a small bow in greeting. Sasuke waved the action off under the façade of casualness. As if. Nothing about this is fucking casual, alright? He is courting in the pursuit of marriage and romance is in the fucking air, you read? I hope, for your sake, that you read. Listen here, Sasuke has appearances he must keep up in sake of this endeavor and this is simply one of them. He will undergo any trial for his love. That's what we call strength, people! Take some notes! Perseverance is alive and it's in the room!
Lennox watched Sasuke shift his bag slightly to the side so he could unzip it, blinking curiously as the other boy dug around in his bag for a bit. Lennox really liked Sasuke, to be quite honest with himself. He was nice-- not too overbearing like most around their age tended to be. He was a great friend! He was just surprisingly laid back was all. Was it... was it maybe because of his past? Maybe it had mellowed him out or... okay, wait, no Lennox! That was a simply horrible thing to think and consider, and definitely not his place! He had to keep his mind away from such rude ideas. If Sasuke could hear his thoughts right now, he'd surely be deeply offended. Lennox didn't want that. Sasuke already had so many rumors and unsolicited comments thrown at him, he didn't need someone he was going out of his way to be nice to joining the bunch.
Sasuke has been amazing, and Lennox feels like they've gotten pretty close in an incredibly short amount of time. The best friend Lennox thinks he's ever had by far, which is admittedly a little pathetic to admit. Just seeing him walk up this morning had caused an unusual leap of excitement in his chest. He wished he knew why Sasuke was so nice to him of all people. He was plain-- just a boring old gardener who lived out his days repetitively, with no real anticipation to be had or variance to be seen. His life was nothing like Sasuke's, who was going to be a ninja who went on exhilarating missions and honed his skills, who had precise talents and special points of expertise. Putting them side by side, it was clear who was more interesting, right?
"Here." Sasuke pulled out a bottle of apple juice, still cold from the fridge. As though he'd dare give Lennox a warm drink. No, no-- only the best for him. Again, this is courting in pursuit of marriage. We pull out all the stops, we play the long game, we close in like a fucking torpedo, we dunk. There are stages to this mission and Sasuke is still in the first one. He must optimize comfort, magnify thoughtfulness, stare lovingly into Lennox's eyes for as long as is allowed to convey how much he cares. Maybe scratch the last one, actually, Sasuke isn't trying to freak him out. They're not close enough for Sasuke to melt into a puddle of giggling goo yet.
Wait... Wait, wait. Pause, put the alarms on standby. What if Lennox doesn't want the juice? What then? Lennox was always on his mind, twenty-four seven. This is actually just Lennox's world, and everyone else (Sasuke included) just so happen to be living in it. Oh, you didn't know that? Sasuke is glad he's informed you. Every thought not involving Lennox was pushed aside and replaced by repeat memories of all the times he's gotten to talk to the freckled object of his adoration. His smile, his voice, his eyes, his hair, his laugh. Lennox had staged a full take over in Sasuke's entire brain and didn't even know it. Talk about hot. Whistle noise, whistle noise.
Anyway, back to the issue. Is this is an overstep? Are they close enough for cold apple juice to not be weird? Should have... Should he have given it to him warm? No! No, Sasuke, you could never. He'd feel obligated to drink it. Oh god, he feels like a monster for just thinking about it. Lennox is too good for him. Sasuke can feel himself slipping through the cracks and into the volcano below, but on the outside, he must maintain his smile as to not alert Lennox to his distress. Over his dead fucking body. Again, this is probably unhealthy, yeah, but it's going to be one-sidedly unhealthy if Sasuke has anything to say about it. Love is about sacrifice.
"I-I-I-" Lennox's face turned bright red, and he waved his hands in front of his face. Sasuke's legs almost gave out. Was he having a heart attack right now? His left arm was going numb. "I-I couldn't possibly--"
"Hey, it's not a big deal at all! I bought it for you." Sasuke gave a small shrug and a half-smile he hoped was attractive. Maybe he should've done it around his fangirls first so he could scale their reaction and take research notes on its effectiveness. He'd done that with other expressions before. The pitch of their screaming dictated corresponded to how enraptured they were. Useful information for seducing Lennox. Dammit! He knew he hadn't prepared enough. He should've made a chart. Practiced in the mirror a little. He was winging it. This was homegrown, organic, and he was not sure if that was a good thing!
Lennox felt his cheeks heat, his eyes growing a little wide. Sasuke had bought that for him? With money? What did he do? He was panicking. Of course he loved apple juice, but was this really okay to accept? It would be horribly, horribly rude not to. Especially if Sasuke had gone out of his way and taken the time to grab it for him. The thought made his heart leap. Was this what having friends was like? It's just-- Lennox had never really been all that close with others his age, a-and so he didn't know what he was doing, and what if he messed up? What if he made Sasuke hate him?
"I-I... U-Um..." Lennox put his hands on his burning cheeks, feeling like his vision was spinning. Sasuke made a high pitched wheezing noise he somehow managed to cover up by clearing his throat. The talent present just in this three foot radius is absolutely immeasurable. Oh god, he was blushing too. His face was red. Sasuke couldn't stop the inevitable no matter how much skill he has. He wished it wasn't weird to take pictures of people. He'd have a whole wall plastered in photos of Lennox. Which was really weird and creepy, but Sasuke quite literally has stopped caring at this point. Some people (i.e. literally only one person) deserve shrines!
"Hey, it's okay. Don't worry so much! This is what friends are for." Sasuke assured, smile growing and eyes twinkling. Uh huh. Friends. It hurt him to say, but you know what? Friends was better than acquaintances who happened to wave at each other but nothing more. This was progress. Lennox was reaching out to take the juice right now. It's happening. Okay, stay calm. He's accepting the-- THEIR HANDS TOUCHED JUST NOW THEY BRUSHED HE FELT IT THAT HAPPENED DID YOU SEE THAT?
"Th-Thank you." Lennox squeaked out, smiling. Sasuke smiled back, eyes wide, face literally the the color of a ripened tomato. "N-Next time it's my turn."
Next time... yeah, he needs to call the hospital and make a reservation. An organ of his is going to give out at this rate and if he dies before he gets to hold hands with Lennox, they're gonna have a problem.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, a week had passed. Sasuke had so far kept himself from spontaneous combustion, but there'd been some close calls. Lennox was a little more open with him now, and him being more open meant more talking, more smiles, and thus more blushing and increased heartrates. Sasuke was seriously considering stopping by the hospital sometime to make sure he hadn't suffered a heart attack. Surely not, right? After all, there was no way a heart attack would feel this good. This was bliss. He had never been happier in his entire life. Sasuke was way, way too lucky, and he was basking in it.
"Good morning, Lenno-"
"H-Here you go!" Lennox burst out. He'd been waiting patiently for Sasuke to come by, a bottle of tomato juice clutched in shaky palms. He thrust it towards his friend, bowing as he did so and trying to keep his face from heating to the point of him passing out. The Uchiha stared for a moment in surprise, processing. Lennox had found that he had to do that anytime Lennox tried to give him anything or made any gestures that were considered out of the ordinary. At first Lennox had thought that meant they weren't okay, but as Sasuke's face grew steadily redder, he realized that it was just because they were in the same boat was all. Just like him, Sasuke had trouble with social situations. That had to be it, right?
It like... sorta was. But only with Lennox. Sasuke pressed his lips together and took deep breaths, his cheeks going red. Lennox had.... had gotten him some juice too. Really and truly. This was happening. Is this another dream of his? Is he going to wake up smiling and giggling to himself like he does almost every morning after dreaming of Lennox, or is this reality? Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. Okay. Wow. He'd gotten Lennox some apple juice, but he'd never thought-- can he even drink this? He's never throwing the bottle away.
He can't get ahead of himself. Lennox doesn't like him like that yet! This is just what friends did. No need to blush and freak out. Even though Lennox so much as glancing at him made him freak out. Actually, Lennox breathing was enough to make him squeal like a schoolgirl. Could you even blame him? Wait, don't answer that. Sasuke knows it's not every else's definition of normal, but this is the function of love. This is how this shit works, okay? He is a class-a fucking expert on this by now. He sunk through the quicksand and landed in the lush cave below.
"This is the best day of my life." Sasuke breathed out to himself, staring gleefully at the bottle he'd just been given.
"Wh-What was that?" Lennox checked meekly, leaning a little closer to hear him better. Sasuke's head snapped up, his attention back on the center of the universe. He was so pretty. Why is Lennox that pretty? Is this legal?
"N-Nothing! Thank you so much. I was really craving tomato juice." He's babbling. But Lennox doesn't look annoyed. He's too nice. Even if he were mean Sasuke literally would not mind even a little bit. Lennox could beat him to death and he'd still be in love with him. Because everything Lennox does is perfect and Sasuke is sort of a dirtbag in comparison anyway, so the attack would probably be justified.
Sasuke did drink the juice once he got to the academy, rationalizing that it would be morally wrong and severe bad luck not to. Lennox got this for him to drink, you damn well better believe he's going to drink it. The bottle though? Yeah, it's going in a fucking display case right next to his carefully preserved flower. Sasuke isn't here to play. He's here to dominate. He literally loves Lennox so much. You can't comprehend. Even Sasuke can't comprehend. Like, it's just beyond what the human mind is capable of processing.
Sasuke thanked him again the next day, beaming at Lennox with the power of a thousand suns. Lennox had seemed genuinely happy and relieved to hear how much he'd liked it, shoulders relaxing and face brightened. Sasuke had to turn around for a moment to silently scream just to keep himself together. He couldn't believe he was getting to talk to him, and getting to know him, and literally just existing in the same vicinity as him. They were getting closer, and that's how Sasuke decided... it was time to put on the moves.
It took a whole other week for him to fully hash it all out. During this time he performed small experiments when he talked to Lennox, carefully observing his reactions to certain phrases and such of that like. Lennox grew more comfortable by the day, and Sasuke learned more about him. The Uchiha went home everyday and squealed, too full of joy to contain himself, bouncing around full of joyful energy. Young love has its effects and Sasuke's feeling them full force. There's only one running issue... he has no idea if Lennox is into guys yet. This is pertinent information.
Finding out if Lennox is into him would be a good start. It didn't matter if he wasn't into other guys so long as he was into Sasuke, right? Right. Thus, Sasuke trudged his way over to Lennox's place hoping to deduce whether or not his ginger prince found him attractive or not. An important task. He mustn't fail.
"Good morning, Lennox!" Sasuke smiled, just as he did every morning. Oh, if his classmates could see him now. Hah. This joy was reserved for Lennox and Lennox alone. No one else deserved his effort and unwavering emotion.
"H-Hello!" Lennox offered that same, shy smile he gave to Sasuke every morning that simply made the Uchiha melt. He wanted scoop him up in a big hug and never let go. He was so cute, sitting among his plants, his pants and hands covered in soil and his shirt smudged. Sasuke would murder a man to sit in the dirt with Lennox. Maybe even his own family. Wow, that's an extreme thought. Is he even allowed to blame Itachi anymore? Who cares, Lennox is here and Sasuke gets to smile and interact with him.
"What're you up to this morning?" Sasuke hummed out, cocking his head. He'd tried the head tilt thing in front of a few classmate and had received positive responses from the male and female populations. He had a spreadsheet all about it.
"A-Ah," Lennox flushed, ducking his head a little. Sasuke was going to punch something this was so goddamn cute holy shit. "J...Just planting... s-some plants."
His social awkwardness was perfect. He was perfect. Sasuke could stare at him all day. It was the perfect sort of day, a little warm outside, but not too warm to be uncomfortable. Lennox blushed all the time due to his shyness, actually... so wait, how was he going to find out if he was attracted to him! Sasuke hadn't realized the plot hole in his plans and neither had the author until this exact moment, actually. Sasuke's going to have to regroup. That's okay, though. Anything for Lennox. Anything.
"I can see that." Sasuke chuckled, leaning against the fence as he gazed down at Lennox, who stared back up nervously, his face burning. Lord give Sasuke strength because he is about to collapse like a house made out of fucking popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue. He just wants to hold Lennox's face in his hands and tell him how much he loves him. He can see their future together now. He'll learn how to cook all Lennox's favorite foods, and they can wear matching outfits. Sasuke will be able to count all his freckles and pepper his face in kisses. Showering him in love is the plan.
However, he has to work this carefully. Knead the dough. Lennox isn't going to tell Sasuke he finds him attractive, so he's going to have to buckle down and watch as closely as possible for changes. This adds a whole new layer. Of course he always observes Lennox and commits everything he says and does to memory and heart, but now he must categorize it. Pick it apart beyond cuteness and delve into the psychology behind it. Or something along those lines. He really isn't sure to be honest. He's just happy to be here.
Another week flew by in a flash. Sasuke brought Lennox more apple juice and Lennox brought him more tomato juice. Which he found out is homemade. Has been homemade this whole time, which only adds to Lennox's overflowing amazingness. He's never getting rid of the bottles. He literally doesn't care he knows this is a line he's crossing and there isn't a single fuck to be given about the fact. He and Lennox get closer everyday and he can hardly believe it! They talk daily, and Lennox tells him more about himself and his day every time they meet. They've gotten physically closer too. Sasuke's unrelenting kindness is working. Lennox deserves all the nicety in the world.
Lennox is... he's just everything, you know? Sasuke's very gay. It should be a problem but he really doesn't think it is. How could there be anything negative about it? His love is stronger than most, but that's just an obsessive Uchiha thing, that's all! He fully blames genetics. And Itachi, because like, everything is his fault one way or another! That's completely beside the point. He feels like he and Lennox have a steady and solid relationship. It's not romantic, but it's still a connection and he cherishes it. Lies in bed at night, grinning to himself, hardly able to contain the racing of his own heart. He is totally and completely gone. Whipped.
"Good morning, Lennox." Sasuke's voice was flooded with fondness that Lennox was either too used to to notice or just didn't notice. Sasuke didn't mind either one. Just seeing him light up at the sound of Sasuke's voice-- god, it was almost too much. Lennox was happy to see him. Him!
"G-Good morning!" Lennox smiled, effectively shooting a cupid's arrow straight through Sasuke's heart. The Uchiha dropped his bag in an instant, hopping the fence to get closer. He'd been talking consistently to Lennox for almost a month now, and each day somehow managed to be better than the last. It was a never ending, vast joy that he was drowning in. Sasuke knew how to swim, but why would he want to? This is all he'd ever wanted and more. He finally felt like he was close to having Lennox. They weren't... like best friends, but they were close!
And Sasuke's okay with that. It is so, so much better than nothing. Better than what they had before, which was nonexistent looking back. Now there's a spark, and Sasuke gets to be by him. He can watch him, know him, and protect him. Take this as him calling dibs. His territory now, losers.
"This tomato plant looks almost read to harvest! Do you thin you'll pick them today?" Sasuke hummed, comfortably plopping down next to the boy. His heart gave a threatening shudder when their shoulders brushed. He gnawed on his bottom lip to keep from blushing too deeply, watching Lennox tenderly pet the leaves of the plant Sasuke had pointed out. The plant almost seemed to perk up, like an excited dog. Lucky bastard. Yeah, Sasuke's jealous of an actual tomato plant. But one day that plant will be fucking dead and Lennox will be tenderly caressing Sasuke's face. He has high hopes. He loves tomatoes and all, but a line has to be drawn.
Sasuke is nicer to Lennox, because Lennox makes him feel nice. It's as simple as that. He draws out all the best parts of Sasuke and makes him feel light and airy. Like he's untouchable. It is a joy he's found nowhere else in his life. Even just sitting here next to him like this, breathing in the dewy morning air, is enough. Sasuke would sit here for an eternity just to stay next to Lennox. Yeah, he's young, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know his own feelings. He's not overexaggerating here. This is for real-for real. His dream of being with Lennox is within arms reach and he's so happy he could cry. He's not sure what he did to deserve this, but whatever it was, it was worth so worth it.
"N-Not yet. Soon, though." Lennox hummed, voice music to Sasuke's ears. He'd fall asleep to Lennox's voice if he could. He's still not sure if Lennox is into him, but he's almost to happy to care. The dopamine levels have blown the literal roof off Casa de Sasuke, and he's living for it.
"I see." Sasuke smiled happily, gazing at Lennox with open admiration and adoration. How was it possible that he'd grown to like Lennox even more over the past month? Getting to know him was literally heaven on Earth, as I'm sure you've already figured it out. Anyone with a lick of common sense would know that. He was so interesting, and kind, and giving. He always offered Sasuke something to eat and drink. Sasuke had to wonder where his grandmother was. He never pried. He was just glad she wasn't here to disapprove of him or interrupt their time together.
Lennox was glowing. He seemed to smile more these days too. The thought that Sasuke was the cause of that? Mystifying. Him, making Lennox smile? Not the other way around? He was going to fucking die. The sheer, overwhelming joy at the mere thought of him making Lennox feel even an ounce of the happiness he himself felt was astonishing. Enough to make him stop breathing, to make him break out into a grin that he couldn't shake. His cheeks had a permanent tint to them anytime he was with the other boy,
"You... y-you have an exam tomorrow, right?" Lennox peeked over at Sasuke, quickly looking away when he realized the Uchiha was gazing at him. His cheeks burned with embarrassment. It was okay to ask, right? Sasuke had brought it up a few days ago. He and Sasuke were friends so... so it would be alright, right? Sasuke was so, so nice. Almost positive and optimistic, and always happy to see him. Lennox really didn't understand how Sasuke could be so happy to see someone like him, but he was secretly glad. Because, especially recently, he couldn't help but feel extremely happy to see Sasuke too.
"I do!" Sasuke responded brightly. He sounded normal. Happy, calm, level. Uh huh. No. He is CRUMBLING on the inside. Lennox remembered. He was interested in Sasuke life. Sasuke mentioned the test days ago and he still recalled? Wow, is... the temperature is definitely rising. Is anyone else feeling dizzy? Sasuke's feeling dizzy right about now. Keep that breathing in check! You can smile until your cheeks hurt, but squeal and it's over. He'll be weirded out and want to know why, and explaining would scare him, Sasuke! It would fucking scare him-- keep it under wraps!
"G-Good luck. I'm sure you're going to do very w-well." Lennox nodded to himself surely, shifting slightly. Sasuke began to make a noise like a deflating balloon, but the sound cut off abruptly when Lennox blinked at him. Instead he smiled. He had to look literally insane, face red, eyes a little big, smile so wide it clearly hurt. Sasuke was just in giddy bliss. He wanted to wrap Lennox up in his arms and laugh joyously.
"Do you really think so?" He asked, instead of kissing the love of his life square on the lips. God, Lennox had to think Sasuke was a total idiot, right? Wait, what was Lennox's opinion of Sasuke? They got along alright, but Lennox actually, coincidentally enough, just so happened to be the sweetest person to ever walk this earth. So there was no telling what his real opinion was. God, Sasuke's melting. He's a witch doused in water. This is his end and he's going down happy.
Lennox thought about it. Sasuke was clearly smart-- probably first of his class. He was modest, polite, kind, caring. Basically... perfect, actually. Lennox was surprised he wasn't more withdrawn. He'd heard a lot that he was distant and cold, and that he had no friends. There was no way that was true! He'd been coming earlier and earlier just to talk to Lennox longer each morning, dedicating time to him and making Lennox's day brighter. Sasuke's visit was the highlight of everyday for Lennox. It was a little sad to admit how attached he'd grown, but he didn't really talk much to anyone else, you know?
Sasuke knew him better than most anyone who wasn't family. He was considerate of his anxiety, and always willing to lend an ear. He was genuinely interested in Lennox and his hobbies, which made the ginger boy feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. He couldn't stop his heartrate from increasing when Sasuke was around. Only it didn't feel like it was out of anxiety anymore. There was something new there. Something more comfortable that he wanted to hold onto.
"W-Well, you are very smart." Lennox gave Sasuke the cutest, sweetest smile in the whole entire world. The Uchiha had to stop himself from visible swooning. Lennox is precious. Sasuke adores him. And he thinks he's smart? No, not just smart. Very smart. He has that high an opinion of him? Sasuke's going to faint. He is. He can feel it coming on. Black creeping into the edges of his vision. It's happening right now. One thing's for sure, he's so in love he can barely function. Oh, and he's going to ace this fucking exam. He will come out on top. Lennox says he's smart, after all! He is going to prove it.
This is it. It's time. He has to go in for the kill. They're closer now and he just... Sasuke has to know. He's tried to figure out whether or not Lennox is attracted to him, but the boy is hard to read. He's so genuine and sweet, Sasuke can't detect a difference, if there is one. He just... has to know. Lennox is so pretty, and Sasuke wants to be with him forever. So, he's taking the L. Everyone salute. This is a suicide mission. It may blow the whole operation. This is the one battle that could lose Sasuke the war.
"Say, Lennox..." Sasuke trailed off a bit. He perked up, blinking at him with those gorgeous eyes of his. Sasuke couldn't help but relax, a warm expression crossing his face. "What do you want to do in the future? Do you have plans to get married on day? Have a husband or wife?"
MAYDAY! MAYDAY! GOING DOWN! Stabilize, slow acceleration, prepare for potential impact. Sasuke's heart is beating so fast he can't even feel it in his chest anymore. He just asked. He just asked, and god, he's terrified. The answer to this question is going to make him do one of two things. One, he will spin out of control like a distressed, heartbroken beyblade gone wild, or he will spin out of control like a flustered, hopefully, impossibly happy beyblade gone wild. These are the two options. Either way he doubts he'll be able to control himself.
"O-Oh, I suppose either would be fine o-one day. Nobody... I don't really k-know anyone, and nobody really likes me. I understand---"
Oh. My. Buttfuck. Do... Do you guys... Sasuke sees a light. Does anyone else see that? He's been blinded. He can't hear or see. He is an infant. Either one. Either one, either one, EITHER ONE! Wife or HUSBAND! He would be FINE with E-I-T-H-E-R O-N-E. Sasuke can't believe it. He's going to cry. He's actually going to cry, he's so happy. He's never been this happy in his entire life. His heart feels like it's about to explode, his mind spinning. All his dreams about their potential future life together flooded forth in his mind's eye, only now they had a real chance of being achieved.
If Lennox hadn't liked guys, Sasuke wasn't going to force him or push. He'd simply have been his friend, because that was better than nothing. Being his friend was amazing. Just being next to him was more than enough. But Sasuke did love him, and want to hold his hand, and kiss him, and marry him, and be with him for life. And now that was possible. Lennox was woo-able. He'd finally gotten the guts to confirm it and it had paid off. Lennox liked girls and boys. Sasuke is a boy! He's one of those! Sasuke is potentially likable holy shit. He's going to laugh and cry hysterically. He can already envision himself rolling around in his bed later, kicking his legs in his excitement. Will he even be able to contain himself at the academy?
How could Lennox say that nobody really likes him? Sasuke does not just like him. Sasuke would break the fucking stratosphere, obliterate an entire planet, blow up the sun for him if he asked. He'd even give up being a ninja for Lennox if that's what Lennox wanted, because he loves him so, so much. GAH he loves him! Sasuke loves him, he loves him, this is real. He's seriously about to cry you guys, no joke. It's all so much he can't process or handle it in the slightest.
"Class! I have to go to class!" Sasuke shrieked at the absolute top of his little Uchiha lungs, his face red up to his ears. Lennox blinked at the bug-eyed look on his face and at the smile, tilting his head as Sasuke squealed a little and stomped his feet, like he'd just seen a really cute puppy. Lennox couldn't stop himself from smiling too, even if he had no idea where all the excitement was coming from. He just watched Sasuke drat for the fence. Maybe he was running late and it had just spurred him into action. They had been talking for a while now.
"W-Wait Sasuke!" Lennox jumped up abruptly, but the boy was already nearly out of sight, running as fast as he could. Lennox blanched a little, eyes trailing back down. "Y-Your... your bag..."
