"Mist someone wants to see you." I heard Luka's voice calling out to me while I was looking at coins being laid out under glass.
"I know who it might be. Chestnut hair, wet clothes?"
He shook his head, and I rushed to his side. I heard my name called out by him and I decided today drag him. Near a patio that hung over the shore.
Once he woke up, I slapped him and left a print.
"What the fuck was that all about. I'm just here to see my pal, Steve."
"Why should I believe you?! YOUR HERE FOR SOMETHING THAT MIGHT BELONG TO ME!"
"Well for a girl whose been on land for only a few days, you seem to learn quickly on your toes and fin." His smirk faded into a wide grin that annoyed me really bad.
"If you want what I have, it's with my family. I left it there for them to keep as memory after I left them." I folded my arms and realized people were coming over too our direction.
"Nothing to see here people!" I quickly yelled and motioned to Victor to play conscience.
"Well about you check on him. He might not breathing." A big man was poking out of the rock and was followed by a woman with long hair.
"I thought you knew what to do. Surprisingly you don't honestly. Obviously you dragged him away to keep him for yourself."
I got overwhelmed by all the people that were questioning and criticizing me that I had to yell at them to shut up.
"Listen, I'm not from here. I'm from a different country and just visiting here as a vacation from my family since I'm mature enough thanks to my parents. SO EVERYONE JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Once I did that, everyone shut up and listened to me, and finally leaving me and Victor alone. I told him he can stop playing conscience and he finally got up.
"Your a pretty good liar, Misty. I'm surprised no one suspected where you came from or what part of town in the country your at."
"Well they won't because we must keep our original identity a secret from these people that they will think we are just human but in reality we are monsters."
My response was blunt but it met his approval until he grabbed my waist, turned me around until I saw his blueish-greyish eyes stare into mine.
"What? You trying to read my soul?" I tried to get out of it, but his grip kept getting tighter around my waist, leaving me locked into place.
"You acting so tough or sarcastic just makes me think twice about what I should do to you if I or you stay here together in water or land." His smile started to look like a nice one because that was his charm until he tells off some girls in the ocean.
"Besides, I already see your soul. And it's interesting among the other female sirens I met while you were gone for a few days." His grip finally loosen to let me go, which gave me the advantage to drop kick him into the sand.
I heard Luka and Sunny call out my name until they saw me peer around the rock, clueing them to come where I'm at.
I introduced them to Victor and Luka seemed pissed off a bit.
"So your the one who made her prophecy a rumor? How convenient of you when she's your girlfriend, but the real deal is, you want too become king along with her when she the true ruler of the seas."
Victor's smile finally went dark, and the two broke out into a fight.
"God dammit guys! STOP THIS FUCKING NONSENSE!" They didn't listen, I started singing a distraction, which worked luckily, and they stopped.
"Do you guys not know she is stronger than you even though she is a girl?" Sunny stepped in and the boys seemed a bit embarrassed.
Luka walked away after he said "I care about Mist okay!" and I ran after him, leaving Victor and Sunny, alone talking to each other or ignoring each other.
"Luka wait up! What was that all about!?"
I grabbed his sleeve and he grabbed me to give a hug.
"Why did you say that before you ran off?"
"Because you remember me of someone and maybe I had fallen for you even though your a siren."
I felt a few tears down my face and we just stood there until the sun was slowly falling into the water.
