Maria's P.O.V (Peggy and Maria are 6 at this point)

Me and Peggy played on the swings for a little bit while our mom's talked at a nearby bench. When Peggy finished swinging I did to. 

After she came out of the slide She said "That was so fun Maria! We should do this again tomorrow!" I looked down.

"Girls, 3 more minutes!" my mom called. "Okay mommy! Peggy I have something I need to tell you."

She looked up from her dirt-filled hands. "What is it Maria? Is something wrong?" 

"Well....mommy and daddy told me that we're moving out of state...by tomorrow morning. That means we won't see each other!" I exclaimed, tears filling my eyes.  "But..but..but..but you promised we'd be best friends forever!" She said, also crying. 

"Daddy told me that not everyone sticks around forever." I said and now i'm crying to.  "But Maria! Please make your parents change their minds!" She begged. "It's too late. Here Peggy. Can I make you a promise?" I asked.

She nodded. "I promise you that one day we'll see each other again." I told her. "Really?!" She said, wiping her tears. "M-hm! I promise you Peggy!" I respond. "Yay!" She exclaimed.

"Peggy, it's time to go sweetie!" Peggy's mom called. My mom waved me over. I hugged Peggy and she hugged me back.
