Loud beeps filled my ears as I began to awaken. Sounds of hustle and bustle was louder than the beeps, but I didn't care. All I wanted to do was to do was sleep, but that didn't stop the terrible person from shaking me awake.

"If you don't leave me to sleep, I will not hesitate to put you in a grave."

A deep chuckle filled my ears as they tapped my arm. "I knew you were a grump in the mornings, but I didn't know you threaten."

I moved quickly, my head connecting with theirs as I nearly yelped in pain. My face jolted as a sharp pain ripped through my head. The back of my head was on fire, as if I had been knocked out. I tried to pry my eyes open, but it only caused more pain. I groaned out, hoping the familiar stranger beside me would know what to do.

"Parker, turn off the lights," Came another voice, from somewhere on my right. I grinned, eyes still closed shut. "She has to ease herself back into opening her eyes. The concussion caused minor damage, but she is still in recovery."

I heard someone on my left start moving. Parker? The bright light behind my eyelids finally was darkened. I pried open my eyes and gulped at the room around me.

A sterile white room. I looked at where I was laying. A blue hospital blanket was wrapped around my body. I moved again to sit up, but still the sharp pain occupied my head. I groaned again.

"Be careful, sweetheart. You have a concussion. You need to be very careful," I looked at the owner of the voice and smiled. Parker Yuen sat on my right holding my hand, squeezing it. I squeezed his hand back, before turning towards the other voice in the room.

A nurse wearing green scrubs stood by some equipment, messing with them. I watched her for a moment, before turning my head back toward Parker.

"What happened? What am I doing here?" I asked, squeezing his hand for support. "Last thing I remember is Richard completely freaking out, and slapping me."

Parker nodded. "Yeah, he did. He hit you so hard you passed out, but no one could catch you in time, so you hit your head on the ground. It caused a minor head concussion. Richard left, and no one has seen him since."

"Who was the little boy? Is he ok?" I asked, suddenly more concerned for the child's health than mine. "He wasn't too hurt, was he?"

Parker shook his head, "No, if you weren't there to stop Richard, who knows how far he would have gone."

There were other people who could have helped, I thought. Why did I have to be the one to end up in the hospital?

I shook my head, but stopped as the blood flowed to my aching head again. "Nurse, can I get some pain medicine or something? My head is killing me."

The nurse turned around from the machines she had been messing with, smiling. "Oh absolutely, Ms. Holt. By the way, big fan."

I nodded, a little irritated at the woman. "Yes, thank you. I enjoy it."

She smiled again, "If you don't mind, could I get your autograph?"

I groaned, "Yes, but while I'm signing it, can you please get me something for my head? Or stab me, whichever one is more affective."

   She giggled, "Right, sorry, ma'am."

She exited the room, leaving Parker and me alone. "Finally, I've been waiting for her to leave for so long."

I giggled at the red-haired boy beside me, pulling him into a hug. "What are you even doing here? I thought you were in Russia filming Our Own Way Home."

He smiled, sadness filling his eyes. "As soon as I heard what happened, I was on a plane back to the states. Of course, I was kind of fired for that."

"What!? That was a once in a lifetime shot! Why would you give it up for me!?" I shook his hand off mine, before gripping it again. "You could ruin your career! Why would you-."

I was cut off by his lips meeting mine in a furious passionate kiss. The room became steamier than what it was before, but it quickly dissolved when the stupid nurse walked back in.

"Oh, did I interrupt something?" She asked, innocently, although I could see a twinge of deviousness in her eyes. "I just came to give you the pain meds."

I nodded, watching her stick the syringe into the IV that was on my left hand. The one that I just noticed. "Now, how about that autograph?"

I smiled at her, already feeling the effects of the pain killer. I nodded, and grabbed the pen and paper she had stretched out towards me. I signed my name quickly and passed the notebook back to her.

She smiled at me, then at Parker and left. Parker squeezed my hand again, as my eyes began to drift closed. Parker watched as my eyes closed, the pain medicine sending me into a sleepy coma.

I faintly heard Parker's voice, "I'll be here when you wake up, sweetheart."

I didn't know what else to do but let my body be succumbed by the sweet darkness.
