The world as I knew it shattered the day I crashed into an invisible car.

It happened on a Monday. I was driving my 11-year-old Corolla in the grocery store parking lot after work. As per usual for the midnight hour, it was virtually empty. Strategically heading for the lane closest to the entrance while also angled for an easy exit out of the lot, I eyed the middle stall on the right.

With only one car parked on the other end, there was more than just ample space on either side. Even for a traffic-impaired driver like myself, parking in an almost empty lot was a no-brainer. What was going to happen? I hit an invisible car or something?
