"My father's a detective," Dani revealed one evening. Catherine, who was reading a book, merely nodded, symbolizing that she'd heard but wasn't really paying attention. "That must be a good book," Dani noted. "If it's got you hooked. You don't strike me as  much of a bookworm. I, on the other hand..." She didn't finish her statement. She just lazily pointed to a bookshelf  full of fantasy stories. Catherine rolled her eyes, but she was smiling. Dani knew Catherine knew about her love of fantasy books. Dani then noticed the book Catherine was reading. "Oh! I know that story! I ship Harold and Gina so much!" Dani started skipping around the dorm.

"I know," Catherine laughed. "I do too." She placed the book down. On the book's cover the writing said: Harold Pitter and the One-Handed Prince. It was Dani's personal favourite of the Harold Pitter series. AKA The one where Harold and Gina become canon, Dani thought in her head. She didn't say it loud in case Catherine hadn't read that part yet. "What do we do now, I'm bored," said Catherine.

"I believe it's supper time, follow me to the 'Great Hall'?" Catherine nodded, picking up the reference. The two friends arrived at the assembly hall, well 'Great Hall'. They sat down together and waited patiently for the food to arrive. Dani noticed that most of the students were either dating or swooning over each other. Dani couldn't understand it. "Why is every single person acting like they're drunk?" She whispered to Catherine. Catherine shrugged.

"I don' know," Catherine replied, mumbling. "But we shouldn't let it worry us."

"You seem oddly okay with this," Dani mused.

"I'm just saying we shouldn't let it worry us. We don't have crushes on anyone, do we?"

"No, we don't but still... You have to admit.... It is odd."

"Okay. It is odd."

"Let's keep out of their drama okay?"

"I don't want to be apart of any drama, thank you."

"Thank Goodness for that," Dani mumbled in reply. The food had appeared now. This evening was Spaghetti Bolognase.  Dani had already dug in, letting her love for the dish overcome her. Catherine gave her a look but then shrugged it off.

"You greedy canine," Catherine teased lightly. Dani shot her an indignant look. She finished chewing.

"You have your own," She replied.

"I might have that," Catherine laughed. "But you won't leave any for seconds."

"Oh." Dani replied, blushing with embarrassment. "Oh now look! You've embarrassed me!"

"So? Is that so bad?"

"No," she replied curtly.

"Don't worry, your messy face hides it."

"Catherine!"

A new girl joined them at their table. She had black hair and yellowish skin. The girls knew who this was. Kayla Dash. Kayla laughed as she approached the two girls. "You girls are so funny," she laughed. Catherine and Dani gave her a look, before bursting out in laughter. The assembly of tables gave them odd looks.

"Dani's really digging into the Spaghetti," Catherine commented. Dani sighed in defeat.

"Well, you know her," Kayla replied. "She's always had a certain love for that." Kayla looked around. "....why does everyone look like they've been smoking pot..?"

"I legit said basically what you did, earlier."

"Only Dani mentioned alcohol not marijuana." Kayla and Dani gave Catherine a look that read Don't say that so loudly! Mr. Krill can hear you! They both pointed to the principal who was sitting at the head of the teachers table. Catherine remained quiet for the rest of the evening.

Dani returned to the dorm in her wolf form, having forgotten to change after class. Catherine followed closely behind.

"Dani, you're a wolf...." Catherine murmured causing Dani to jump and change back.

"Sorry...." She murmured.

"Anyway have you heard the rumours....."
