The first time you cry in front of them
Violet: You were working on an invention, but nothing seemed to be working the way you wanted it to, You tried your best to stay calm, but after trying to fix it for the tenth time, you let out a loud frustrated groan. You heard footsteps enter the room; when you looked up; you saw that it was Violet. "What's wrong?" she asked sitting down next to you. "I've been trying for hours to get this invention to work the way I want it to work, but every time I try to fix it, I fail," you said choking up.
Violet pulled you in close and you buried your face into her shoulder and cried. "It's okay, I know it's hard, but you'll get it eventually. You know, if you want, I could help you," she offered. You looked at her a small smile spread across your face. "Really?" you asked. "Of course, I hate seeing you upset," she smiled. The small smile became a grin, and you and Violet got to work.
Klaus: You had spent years as a library shelving assistant and tried so hard to get a promotion, but every time you tried, you would always fail. After work, you walked over to Klaus' apartment hoping that he could cheer you up. "Y/n, what's wrong?" he asked when he opened the door; he took one look at your face and invited you inside. "It's my job, Klaus, I try so hard to get a promotion, but every time I apply for one, I'm either overqualified or not qualified," you said trying your best to not cry. Klaus gently hugged you and you felt tears roll down your cheeks. "Don't cry, it's gonna be okay," he whispered into your ear. He gently lifted your chin and you were eye-to-eye with each other. "I'll always be right here if you need me Y/n,"
Duncan: You had just got a phone call from your mother telling you that your father had been diagnosed with cancer. After you hung up the phone, you had crumpled up on the floor and started crying. You needed to talk to someone, but your roommate was hanging out with friends, so you decided to call your friend Duncan and ask him to come over. "Hello?" a voice on the other line picked up. "Duncan, could you come over I need you right now," you said trying to keep your composure. "Sure thing, is everything okay?"
"I'll explain everything when you get here," you said. "Okay, I'll be there shortly," he sighed. Ten minutes later he knocked on the door and you opened it. He looked concerned when he saw your tear-filled eyes. "What's wrong, you know you can tell me anything," his eyes were full of concern. "My mom called a little while ago, and told me that my dad has cancer," you said your voice breaking.
Duncan walked over to you and hugged as you cried into his chest. "Y/n, I'm so sorry, I'm here if you need me I promise," he whispered into your ear. You started to feel slightly better. "What can I do to make you feel better?" he asked. You had one thing in mind, (No, not that silly reader!) "Maybe some pizza and a movie?" you suggested.
Isadora: You had just finished editing your poem and were hoping to get it published in The Daily Punctilio. You had sent a query letter with your poem in it to the newspaper and were waiting for a response. After a few days of waiting, you got a letter from The Daily Punctilio, you were hoping they accepted your poem, but when you opened it, you found out they rejected your poem not explaining why.
That same day, you were supposed to hang out with Isadora. When you went over to her house, you tried to keep your composure, but those words of rejection kept repeating themselves inside your head. "What's wrong Y/n?" Isadora asked. "I tried to get a poem published in The Daily Punctilio but they rejected it without giving me a reason," you explained as your eyes began to fill up with tears.
Isadora bent down next to you and hugged you. "I'm so sorry Y/n, I know it's hard when you work so hard on something and people reject it, but there's an old saying, 'You try, you fail, you try, you fail. But the only true failure is when you stop trying," you had heard the saying before, and were starting to feel slightly better. "Thanks, Isadora, you're a really good friend," you smiled.
Quigley: You and Quigley had been on your own for a while now trying to find his brother and sister. You two had spent the night in the former home of Dr. Montgomery Montgomery. One night, you had horrible flashbacks to when your house was on fire, and your father told you to go underground and wait for him. But he never came back. You woke up screaming; Quigley woke up to the sound of your screams, and wrapped an arm around you.
"Y/n shh, it's okay, I'm right here," he said trying to calm you down. You looked up and met his eyes in the darkness. You let out a breath of relief and hugged him tightly. "Oh Quigley, I just had a horrible nightmare about the fire," you sobbed. You felt Quigley gently run a hand through your hair. "I know it's hard, I have nightmares too about the fire, but don't worry we'll get through this together," he promised. After a while, you both fell back asleep holding each other close with your head on his chest.
Esme: After a long and tiring day of work, you were ready to go home, but as you put on your coat, your boss came to your cubicle. "Hey Y/n, what's happening? I'm gonna need you to come in tomorrow because Mara took tomorrow off and I need someone to do her work," your boss explained. You didn't want to work on the weekend; you and Esme were going to having lunch with some friends. Reluctantly, you nodded and headed home hating your job, and hating your boss.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" Esme asked when you walked into the penthouse. "My boss is making me come into work tomorrow, I don't know how much more of this I can take," you answered your voice breaking slightly. You wanted Esme to hug you, but she would get very irritated if you got anything on her pinstripe suit. "If you want, I can try to get you out of going to work tomorrow, I'll call your boss and tell him that you got sick," she suggested. You were thrilled that Esme would do that for you. "Thank you, Esme, you're the best!" you smiled. "I know," she answered.
Carmelita: You had failed a quiz in Mr. Remora's class even though you tried your best to remember every detail of his pointless stories. You walked back to your dorm, and crumpled up the test and threw it out an open window. You heard the door open and saw that Carmelita had entered your room. "Did you just throw a piece of paper out the window?" she asked.
You were a little scared knowing that Vice Principal Nero liked her out of all the students at Prufrock. "Y-yes, I failed a quiz in Mr. Remora's class even though I tried so hard to remember every last detail of his pointless stories," you said trying your hardest not to cry in front of her. Carmelita could see that you were about to cry, but she wasn't going to tease you about it. She just wasn't good with the emotional stuff, so she left you alone with your tears of frustration.
Olaf: After you met Olaf at that actor's workshop, you called each other frequently and talked about your auditions, and anything else you could think of. You had a big audition coming up for the part of Glenda in the musical Wicked. But the day after your audition, you got a phone call saying that you did not get the part. You were heartbroken, frustrated, and angry all at once. You hoped that Olaf had better luck than you did, but he ended up calling you right after you hung up the phone. "How did your audition go?" you asked. "Not good, I didn't get the part," he sighed. You consoled him and he consoled you after you told him about your audition.
"Do you want me to come over? We can get Chinese take-out," he suggested. "Yeah, that sounds like a great idea," you answered. He came over an hour later with a small bag full of Chinese food, and you just drowned your sorrows in Chinese food and red wine.
Fiona: After joining the crew, you were tasked with helping Cookie with meals. You had a lot to learn about cooking because you weren't very experienced with it. But Cookie's optimism helped you look on the bright side. One night, you and Cookie had made potato chowder for you and the rest of the Queequeg II crew, but as you brought the food to the table, you tripped and dropped the tray full of bowls of chowder.
Embarrassed by what happened, you fled to your quarters and cried on your bed. A minute later, you heard the door open and looked up to see Fiona standing in the doorway. "Are you okay?" she asked. You shook your head and she sat down next to you and gently hugged you. "I'm sorry," you muffled into her shoulder. "It's okay, accidents happen," she whispered. She took your hand, and she led you to the other's, luckily most of the chowder was still in the bowls so you had nothing to worry about aside from the mess you and Cookie would have to clean up later.
Lemony: You and Lemony had been in constant contact with each other after that night at the theater. One night you went out to eat and talked about your interests. But he would constantly bring up the first woman that he fell in love with, Beatrice. You were a little jealous, but tried your best to hide it. "Are you two in a relationship?" you asked. Lemony didn't answer your question, but looked out the window and sighed. You felt your heart come to a stop, and you felt tears fall down your cheeks. "Are you crying?" he asked looking back at you. "Excuse me," you said. You walked as quickly as you could to the ladies room and sobbed in the mirror.
"This Beatrice girl seems like an angel, she's probably stolen his heart," you said to yourself. When you stepped out of the bathroom, you saw Lemony looking very guilty. "Y/n, I am so sorry that I made you cry, Beatrice and I aren't together anymore, she'll always have a small place in my heart, but you have a bigger piece of my heart," he said. You wiped your tears away and hugged him. "You have a piece of my heart too Lemony, you always will," you whispered.
