Chapter 10
I apologize dear readers of not explaining something in the beginning of the story that which is a well 'need to know' knowledge about time travel.
In time travel there is a rule that everyone, even those who have not travel, knows. This is the butterfly effect.
The butterfly effect is in theory that where a small butterfly was to die at a time that it was not suppose to, will a natural disaster the the world.
This states that the smallest change can lead to an unearthly consequence.
But this is not the most important rule to time travel.
The rule most important will be what I call the rebound effect.
The rebound effect happens, when and if, a person time travels, having arrived to there location, will cause a burst off energy either manually or automatically.
For example of a automatic effect, that happens the moment the time traveler arrives, would be if a psychic at a carnival was to suddenly be able to see alternate timelines of her life which would then proceed for her to pack up her belongings and think of her life choices, or if a boy was to be able to see glimpses of his future playing around him like illusions which will proceed to confuse him until he is to meet the girl that haunts his dreams.
An example of a manual effect, when the time traveler changes something by there own hand, would be is if a judge of the Supreme Court was to meet the supposed time traveler which then lead to her to looking through her library and ran across a book called 'The incomplete history of secret organizations', or if a very tired looking man left to think after having met the peculiar child time traveler and comes to the conclusion of meeting a certain cab driver that he had not talked to in a long time.
And that is where this chapter will begin.
.
.
Lemony was a strange man. An observant man, and as he sat on his desk in the small damp dark apartment, with windows covered in dust, clearly never having been open slowly becoming even more difficult to see through as the night showers bring in the fog, nothing else would have made lemony remember just how uncertain his life has become.
But, at the moment, his uncertainty was the least of his thought. What leaves him to thought at the moment was not of some impossible riddle or the hot dog stand that stand to sell lion meat.
What left him in pure and utter uncertainty was the plainly simple sentence a girl had said the previous day going to a book shop.
"If I was born a boy, my mother would have named me Lemony too"
This sentence, no matter how much he tried, could not comprehend a single word of which left him to sitting down, staring at his type writer in silence.
So it came to his conclusion to see someone he hadn't seen in a long time, and now being in front of the man that is his brother, he probably should have thought this out more.
"Jacque," Lemony said as his brother stared back at him with a mix of emotions.
"We need to talk."
.
.
"How can you be so calm!?!?!" Klaus said as he walks back and forth in the kitchen while Violet, having her hair together with a ribbon to not have her hair in her eyes as she continues on making what looked to be powders, colored liquids, and cream.
"Oh, I'm not calm. I'm just a fairly good actor and, to help you feel better, I've been in much scarier and dangerously confusing situations," Violet said as she takes hold of small glass jars, spreading them on the floor as she places white liquid like cream, filling them to half each.
"But this is time travel!?! You time traveled!?! My wife!?! My future wife!?! Are life's a mess!?! What are we going to do...." Klaus says now on his knees crying having full belief in his sister and, having his head nearly explode from stress and confusion.
"I really underestimated a 8 year old Klaus and his ability to handle complicated situations," Violet mumbled to herself now mixing different amounts or red powder in the liquid creams.
"What's that suppose to mean,"Klaus said having heard her comment. "Shouldn't you have not told me anything about time travel?!?"
"Well, yes and no, time is a difficult and upsetting concept that humans have made to explain the movement or growth of an object. By suggesting time controls us will be as in saying destiny can't be change. But, if ones foolish enough to say to much of a possibility of ones fate, then that will only proceed to permit ones fate sealed and having done nothing will then make sure nothing has change."
"I'm confused....." klaus said unsure if this was the answer to his question.
"Not to intrude in your business but, what are you doing," klaus said look at his sister slowly scooting closer to her as she continues on working.
"Making cosmetics," Violet said non chattily.
"I didn't know you knew cosmetology," Klaus said keeping an eye on her hand movements, seeing her make different shades of red with the smell of lavender and chocolate started to spread in the the pot of slowly boiling water on the stove start to steam.
"I took it as one of my side hobbies back in my early 20's when I wanted to make a cosmetics company but ended but not doing so because of legal issues and competition," Violet said, getting up from her position and turning off the stove.
"But that still does not answer the fact of why you are making.....well....this," Klaus said gesturing to the chaotic mess his sister made on the floor.
"Simple really," Violet began, "I'm preparing for the future by starting at an early age in becoming as self dependent as possible and gain as many powerful allies that I can as well as my future comrades."
"But what does that have to do with make up?" Klaus said with a blank face realizing now he probably should have invested his time reading books on woman and economics.
"If I'm correct, the summer fair is coming up in two weeks time and during that time I'll be able to switch mothers makeup with mine that way she can get peoples attention while I sell in the home goods section and be able to finish just before the Vibrant Fireworks Display on the last day," Violet said proudly of her flawless plan in making money.
"I suppose that makes se-"
"That and I am so use to using my cucumber passion fruit body wash and chocolate strawberry shampoo," Violet said remembering when she woke up this morning to cleans herself seeing only having rose scented shampoo containing items that should not even by near a child, which explained her brittle hair when she was younger having only managed it by having her hair just below her shoulders.
Klaus sighed trying his best to understand his sister and her feminine need but figured there will be no point in keeping up by now and would prefer to be like her, that is being in his own world of knowledge and books. But, by his good nature, will not leave his sister to be alone.
"Would you care for some assistance."
