Hi. Sooo my friend said "I had to bang the door. I had to. Otherwise, he wouldn't have opened it."
So we spent the rest of first period making dirty jokes about banging a door.

Actually nevermind. For part of the period me and my guy friend ( he's my mother in my fake family ) were watching the theme song for Wow Wow Wubzy and Wonder Pets.

Nagisa's POV

"Okay see you later!!" Nakamura had walked with me to my house since, she lived near there. Apparently. She probably lied just to look at my house. I told her it's really nothing but she keeps saying "YEAH BUT YOU'RE REALLY MODEST SOMETIMES." As I remember.

I walked up to my apartment door and fished for my keys from the pocket of my jacket.

Nope... gum... lint... eraser ( its's in Nagisa's pocket because her friends always steal her stuff ) ...a sticky note... another sticky note... wait why do both of these have phone numbers on them?

Ah, I must've forgotten them... I walked up to the door and gently placed my ear upon it. It was quiet, but I heard a light sound, which was probably my mother putting down her tea cup. I knocked on the door. I heard foot steps that became louder with each step.

The door opened to reveal my mother looking straight ahead from where she stood. "Oh hi Nagisa-chan!! I didn't know it was you, you usually come in using your keys and then announce how you've just arrived." Ignoring what she said I was immediately offended that she had to look down to see me; there's definitely a huge height difference between me and mother.

And everybody else.

I'm basically just a really short blueberry.

"Then why does the blueberry look like a strawberry?"

Scratch that. I'm just short. Don't need to think about Ka... him over the weekend!! Nuh-uh!!

"Are you okay? Your face is red." My mother said, tilting her head a bit in wonder.

"Hm? O-Oh y-yes... I'm fine." Probably.

"If you say so. Well, come inside! Go get dressed, come to the table and eat your dinner." I mentally sighed ( as relief ) when she said this... wait that doesn't exactly clarify if we'll be talking about the trip.

I went upstairs as she said, first taking off my shoes at the door, walking past my mother. I approached my door, feeling the relief of finally being home. Ahhhhh I miss this place. The air was cold, but that wasn't very irregular. I walked up to my closet thinking about what clothes I should wear. I'm not going anywhere... and it's almost bedtime... jammies it is!! I grabbed mah pajamas and threw them on the bed, not caring about what a mess it was. After all I was going to change into them in just a few minutes. Now all I had to do was get my uniform clothes. I always hang them up on a hanger the day before school so that it will be less of a pain in the morning, since I'm extra lazy. I was getting ready two days early but... isn't that being productive?

I got my pajamas from the bed and went into the bathroom to change. Should I change my hairstyle on Monday? My hair was currently down... maybe if I wore my hair down to school- nevermind. After I was done changing I exited my room and went downstairs, feeling the cold touch my very petite foot.

"Nagisa... you took a while." My mother said glaring at me from across the table. I pulled up a chair and sat across from her.

"Hehe... Sorry. I was getting my clothes ready for school." I said.

"Haha! Today's Friday silly!"

"I know," I laughed a little with her. "But I just felt the need to."

....

"Mother please don't give me that look."

....

"...You're still doing it."

"You seem really excited for school don't chu..." She still gave me the look, at which I stared blankly at her for. "Okay, okay I'll stop. Now eat your dinner." Today's dinner was curry, one of my favorites. So, of course I was eager to take a bit- "Just kidding I won't let you eat right now. Thaaat can wait."

"Wha- Whyyy?? You know curry's my favorite!!" I exclaimed throwing my hands in the air, then making a gesture towards the curry.

"I know. That's why I'll make you starve until you answer my questions."

"Mo-"

"Question one: What happened? Why are you depressed? Why do you seem dead inside? Why are you so f-"

"Mom that's not one question." I sighed. "Nothing really happened, it's just that I played a game with some of my closest friends and it was frustrating."

"Closest?" She questioned, tilting her head in wonder once again, "As in who? Were there-"

"Yes," I said avoiding eye contact, "Karma was there."

"I was gonna ask 'were there boys'." She giggled, "But it's good to know he's the first to come to mind!"

"Wha-"

"Any other boys that went??"

"Meh."

"...and?"

"Nyeh."

"...anyone else?"

"Maehara, Isogai, Sugino, and every other boy in Class
3-E."

She gave me a 'honhonhon' kind of face ( if that makes sense ), "I wonder why you specifically mentioned those three."

"Mother stop giving me that face."

"You can't tell me what to do." She continued, "Was there anything interesting that happened?" She gave me that face again.

"You act as if you let me date."

"Hah! With certain people, yes." She stated, "For example... Ah! The... the um... the guy with the grey hair."

"Itona?"

"Yep that guy. He's cute but there's just something about him that sets off a weird atmosphere."

"Mom you've never been in the same atmosphere as him."

"Nonsense! We all live under the same atmosphere," She muttered, "No wonder you're failing classes."

"Heey!! I'm trying."

She laughed, "That's funny!!" I'm trying...

She stopped laughing for a few seconds and just stared into space for a few more minutes. The curry was getting cold... I tried to take a quick bite but my mom stopped me ( sort of ) before I could.

"You should take study lessons with that kid with strawberry hair!!"

"Strawberry..." I thought of Asano for a second. Ya know, strawberry blonde hair. It's sort of similar.

Sort of.

"Wait Karma?"

"Ah yes; the one that's always first to come to your mind."

"He wasn't the first one though..." I muttered under my breath.

"Oh then-"

"Can I eat now?"

"You still didn't answer what happened on that trip." She thought in silence for a few more seconds, "DID YOU-"

"Can I eat now?"

"If you ask that kid for study lessons, then sure!"

"Depends in what you mean by that kid." I said back.

"Ah... you're catching on." She said sulking a little. "Well, just take some study lessons. If they-*cough cough* Karma, come over to study then it's fine. If they prefer for you to go over to their house to study- study only by the way, and if it's a boy I'll only tolerate Karma."

"Mom, please don't assume things."

"How can I not?"

"What if I refuse to study with anyone? Why can't you help me study?"

"Do you really want me to help you study?"

"No."

"See. And if you refuse then... every time you do something wrong I'm gonna say 'you're gonna get Karmaaaaaa'" She said trying verrry hard to hold in her laughter because of how stupid it was. "or strawberries." That's even more stupid!!

I laughed along with her though. I thought she'd be more creative!! "Ha...ha..." I said wiping my tears. "Fine. Only because I really don't want that to happen."

"Yay I win." She said clasping her hands together. "Now you may eat."

"Finally!!"

"Manners."

"...yay."

After we ate I bid my mom "farewell" as I had exited the dining room...

Nah that sounds too fancy. I said "byeeeeee" while shuffling to my room. Then I brushed my teeth and sat down for a few minutes, since it's bad to lay down or go to sleep right after you ate. Which is what I was told... it might have been a lie.

I spent some of my time, looking at memes, going over messages. You know. Usual everyday things. I was boreddd. I wanted to text someone but it was already midnight so who would be awake? And who wouldn't be mad...

Hmmm... Nakamura? Nope. She'll probably make me talk to Karma for separate reasons.

Kayano? Heck no. She sleeps too early.

Sugino? Same reason as Nakamura except he'll say something like, "talk to the other boy!!"

I sighed. I'm not really close to many people...

Maybe I should text Karma.

Wait what would I even text him about...?

Oh right!! My mother gave me a great excuse! But should I really text him...

I feel desperate. Here it goes.

Nagisa: Heeeey!! So... my mom is kinda forcing me, but can you help me study?

No Answer.

Nagisa: Are you asleep?

Nothing.

Nagisa: Are you dead?

I waited a few more seconds for my reply. I was gonna text 'soooo... you are dead.' but I figured he might have deleted my number.

Nagisa: Oh! This is Nagisa :)

Thereeee wassss stillll nothingggg!!

Nagisa: The blueberry?

Now I feel even more desperate.

Karma: Ahh... you ruined it. I was gonna say 'new phone who dis?'

Ahhh he finally answered.

Nagisa: Were... were you about to reference a meme?

Karma: I guess. 
Karma: So. What brought you to talk to me

Nagisa: It sounds like you want nothing to do with me!!

Karma: Meh

I looked at the screen name and saw that there was a little smiley face next to her text. She still does that huh? I was about to text back but she answered again.
