A few years later

The young girl ran down the stairs, rushing to find what she was looking for.

She searched all of the lower level looking for her tool, but she couldn't find it.

"Are you looking for this?" A boy with blond hair holds the brand new communication lacrima Nashi was given.

"Hey! Luke give it back!" Nashi stomps as she lunges for him, lighting her fist.

"Try and catch me!" Luke pulls out a key and summons Plue, picking him up.

"Lets go Plue!"

"Puu~"

Nashi grumbles. "You brat! Give it back!" She punches Luke, sending him flying; and Plue back to his dimension.

"Owie..." Luke rubs his now burned arm. 

A tired Natsu walks down the stairs. "What's with all the ruckus?"

"Nashi/Luke started it!" They yell in unison.

"Nashi hit and burned me!" Luke pouted, displaying his burn mark.

Natsu brushes his hair back. "Really. It's the second time this week-"

"It's not my fault! Luke took my communication lacrima!"

"I needed it!"

Natsu scratches his head. "Um.. you kids might want to stop before..."

"Your only 5! I'm turning 10 soon so I need it more!"

"No I do!"

"You're so annoying!" Nashi growls.

"You guys!" Natsu shouts. The two pause and look at their father, who motions for them to listen. He cringes as he hears a baby cry.

"Great, Luna's up. Now moms going to be mad at us thanks to you!" Luke shakes his head.

Nashi has steam boiling from her head at this point. "You brat!" She's about to hit when she hears footsteps. She turns her attention to the stairs when she sees it.

Her mother.

Glaring daggers at the three of them.

It was as if she could kill with looks.

The three stand frozen in fear, as Lucy glares them all down, baby on her hip.

"I'm sorry mama, I didn't mean it, I swear-"

"Save it." She snaps.

I whisper to Luke, "Good going, idiot."

"H-hey Luce, how was your morning?" Natsu tries to make it up for Lucy.

"You all ruined my sleep." Her frown then turns into a smile, an evil one.

"Therefore you will pay!"

Nashi and Luke shriek as they run behind their Father.

"Hey! Why me? You two caused this!"

"You're her husband!"

Natsu shrugs. "Eh, fair enough."

The 1-year-old lifts up her head from her mother's chest and looks at the family. She then giggles at the ridiculousness of the situation.

Lucy slowly smiles, genuinely now, as she looks down at the child. She places a soft kiss on Luna's forehead.

"Is she still mad at us?" Luke whispers as he peeks behind his father.

"Have no clue." Nashi starts to look as well.

Your mothers weird like that," Natsu explains. "Sad one moment then happy the next."

Lucy lifts the child in the air as she giggles. "It's okay Luna! They think Mommy can't hear them. It's okay though, one day we'll show them whose boss together, alright?"

"Yay!" The baby cheers, waving her arms. Lucy brings the child down a bit and rubs her nose against Luna's.

The three witnessed the scene as they slightly sweated, a bit terrified of the threat. They knew Lucy wasn't one that normally forgot things. She would always keep her promise, both parents did.

"Anyways," Lucy balances the toddler on her hip once again. "It's time to go, your going to be late to school. I'm sure Erza and Mira wouldn't be too pleased."

A shiver goes up Nashi and Luke's spines, they knew that the two wizards weren't known for playing games either; heck, they might even be worse.

The two turn and see their father shaking as well. They shake their heads in disbelief.

"You're still scared of Erza and Mira?" Nashi asks.

Natsu shakes his head as she puts an arm on his daughters shoulder. "I will always be scared of those two."

"Tick Tock..." Lucy notifies the three as she walks out the front door.

The three blink before finally getting the message. They dash to get their items and leave, following Lucy to the guild.

After their daily activities, the family finds themselves at the flower park, where Nashi first met her father all of those years ago. It was strange how history repeated itself. Looking back; Lucy recalled her initial fear with giving her child to her father, then the relief yet regret after seeing the two enjoying their time together. But alas, the two needed Lucy more than they alluded to, and the family was united.

 Afterwards, Lucy gave birth to Luke, then Luna. It was quite different raising a child with another adult, but Lucy found it a lot less stressful and more enjoyable. Even though the two parents had messed up a lot along the road; they were both proud of what they had now, the beautiful family that they created. 

Lucy was sitting next to Natsu; little Luna sitting on her lap. She then gives the baby a pacifier and a small toy to keep her occupied. Looking at the two children play through the park of pink blossoms, Lucy noticed a tree that was significantly older than the others. She got up, Natsu perking his head up. Small baby balanced on her hip; she walks towards the old tree, Natsu curiously following behind.

As Lucy thought, it was the tree Lucy and Natsu had marked over a decade ago, at the Magnolia flower festival. Lucy smiled as she brushed her hand over the marking, reading N + L. 

Natsu gently put his hand over hers as a sign of affection, and grinned at her. She smiled, and Luna began to giggle from on her mother's hip. 

The two kids that were running stopped when they saw their parents standing close to one of the trees.

"What's wrong Ma?" Luke asks?

"Nothing at all, Luke." Lucy ruffles the boy's hair. 

"You wouldn't understand, you're too young." Nashi sticks her tongue out. 

"I'm not THAT much younger. Besides, what is there to not understand?"

"You see," Nashi pauses. "This is where the story began."

Natsu smirks. " 'guess so."

Lucy sighs contently. Although there had been many bumps in the road, Lucy still enjoyed what she had. 

And she wouldn't exchange any of it for the world. 

Hey! I finally finished this, I'm so sorry this took so long. Now that I mostly write the whole story before publishing, I completely forgot about my other stories; oops. However, I really liked this story, and decided to push myself to finish it. It took a lot, but I'm satisfied with the ending and I hope you guys are too.
