Tim heard laughter coming from the porch as he closed the laptop. Smiling as he walked out he found his mom, Emily and Caroline looking at her phone.

"I don't think I've ever seen you with a manbun Timmy" Emily chuckled.
He looked at her raising his brow, realizing Caroline was showing pictures she secretly took when he wasn't looking.

"Let me see what else you have there missy" he said playfully to Caroline, trying to grab her phone.

She quickly tossed the phone to Emily as he grabbed her, tickling her sides. Squealing and giggling he gave her a quick kiss before chasing Emily across the beach to get the phone.

Dena stood back watching with a grin as Caroline yelled to Emily to run faster. Tim tripped landing in the sand, not getting up. Emily quickly turned to run back to be sure he was ok " Tim....Tim.." she yelled.  He didn't move. Dena became concerned and started to head off the porch when Caroline grabbed her arm, smirking "he's ok....Watch.." she told her.

Emily knealt down. "Tim, are you ok? Don't you dare die on me" she told him. He quickly grabbed her ankles making her fall on her backside into the sand, then picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. "Give me the phone or you're taking a swim Squirt" he teased her making his way towards the water.

"You wouldn't dare" she screamed, squirming.

"Oh wouldn't I" he retorted, now almost knee deep in the water.

"Ok, ok...put me down" she demanded.

"Not till you give me the phone" he laughed.

"Fine, here" she stated handing him the phone. He quickly put it in his pocket, then walked back from the water to put her down.

They put their arms around each others waist, walking back across the sand. "This was fun, I've really missed you Tim" she told him giving a little squeeze.

"Me too, squirt, me too" he replied.

After brunch they walked around the small town that was nearby. Caroline showed Emily the clothing shops while Tim and Dena checked out the local book store. Regardless of where she went, Tim kept her in view, just in case. Finally deciding to head back to the beach houses they made one final stop to grab a few food items for Dena and Emily to have at their place.

"Wow, this place is amazing" Emily commented as they walked through the market area. Everything you could possibly need for meals located in one place, from exotic fruits to seafood, it was all there and arrived fresh daily.

Once they had their purchases they headed back to the car. Caroline hadn't mentioned anything but Tim could tell she was a bit tired, which he expected after being up so early this morning. He held her hand driving back, giving her a light squeeze now and then.

Tim dropped his mom and sister at their place, helping carry in the purchases they made while Caroline stayed in the air conditioned car. Having agreed on a time for dinner he quickly headed back to her.

"If you don't mind, I think I'm going to lay down for a bit" Caroline said to Tim as they entered their bungalow.

"I don't mind Darlin, you were up very early this morning and we've practically been going non stop since. I'm sorry about that" he replied pulling her in for a hug.

"It's been fun. I love having your mom and sister here" she told him wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Can I get anything for you" he asked leaning his head down on her shoulder.

"No thank you. Just don't let me sleep too long, I don't want them to have to wait for dinner because of me, ok" she replied leaning back a bit.

"Ok, you rest. I love you" he whispered before giving her a gentle kiss.

"Love you too" she replied stepping away and heading to the bedroom.

Tim decided to make jerk chicken with a side of fried plantains and johnny cake for dinner. He limited the spices and heat of the chicken marinade as they could trigger migraines, the last thing he wanted Caroline to have to deal with.

He went outside to prepare the cooking area and fire pit when he saw Emily walking his way.

"What's up kiddo" he asked as he stacked wood into the fire pit.

Emily began to add wood as well " oh nothing. Momma is reading her book she bought today and I just didn't feel like 'relaxing' by sitting around. So I came over to see what you guys were up to".

"As you can see I'm getting ready for cooking later and Caroline is laying down" he told her as he placed the last of the wood in the pit.

"Why is she laying down, is she ok" Emily asked with concern.

"She's fine, Em. Some days she gets tired and needs a quick nap. She was up early this morning, so it's expected" he assured her.

"Oh, ok. Well. I'm going to take a little walk along the beach, I'll be back soon" she told him as she headed across the sandy beach.

"Be careful and don't go in alone" Tim yelled. She waved her hand and replied "Yes Dad" as she walked along the waters edge.

Tim prepared the meal on the porch, keeping an eye out for Emily's return. She'd been gone for nearly an hour already and he was beginning to wonder if he should go look for her. Just as he covered the chicken in the marinade to place in the fridge, he saw her walking back towards the house. With a sigh of relief, he took the chicken inside to the fridge then headed down the hall to check on Caroline. She was sound asleep with a slight smile on her face. Hoping she was having happy dreams, he decided to let her rest a bit longer while he finished preparing dinner.
