Leaving Jonas in the hospital and going back home was so hard for both Danny and Jessica.
Even though they knew he was in the best hands, it still hurt not being able to bring him home.

Jessica cried the entire way home, and Danny did his best to make her feel better.

"Baby girl, it's okay.  He's in good hands."

"But Mommy's are the best!  What if he needs me, Danny?" She sobs.

"Oh honey.. We'll go see him first thing in the morning!"

"What if something happens and I'm not there?"

"Baby, if something were to happen, they would call us.  But I promise you everything will be fine."

Jessica tried her best not to cry in front of the kids.
Sam and Tiffany were staying with them at the house when Danny and Jessica returned.

"Mommy!  Daddy!  You're home!  Where's Jonas?" Nova said running to her parents.

"Nova, remember your brother and I told you that he will be staying at the hospital with Valerie for a little while?" Tiffany says.

"But I want him to come home Now!" She pouts.

Jessica kneels down and holds her arms out for her daughter.

"So do I baby.. but he'll be home soon.."

"What if I can't see him till he's big?!"

"Sweetie pie, that's not gonna happen."

Nova pouts and cuddles into her mother.

"Gigi!  Gigi!" Tabitha runs to her grandmother.

"Hi my pretty girl!"

Tabitha then begins to babble in the cutest little excited voice.

"Hey, at least she said Gigi right!" Sam chuckles and shrugs his shoulders.

"Stop it!  Oh my girl!  Then what happened, momma?" Jessica places her hand on Tabitha's back.

Tabitha then really gets into her story.  She starts speaking louder and jumps up with excitement.

Jessica smiles and kisses her cheek.
"Wow!  It sounds like you had an exciting day, Tabi!"

Tabitha puckers her lips and gives her grandmother a big kiss.

"Oh sweet sweet kisses!"

Just then Samuel walks over. "Hi Gigi!" He waves.

"Hey Sammy!" Jessica smiles.

"Nova, come on.  Let's go play!" He pats her back.

"I want my mommy.." She says in a low voice as she curls into Jessica.

"And you need to call me Aunt Nova cause I'm your auntie!"

"Nova, I'm older than you!"

"You're still my nephew, Sam Sam!"

"Fine!  Aunt Nova, will you come play with me?"

"I said I want my mommy." She cries softly and tightens the grip around Jessica's neck.

"She's a little upset, Samuel.. Nova, why don't you play with Sam while momma changes?  Then I'll cuddle you until you go through bed."

"Okay.."

Jessica kisses her cheek and wipes her tears.

"Now don't be sad.  Baby brother is okay, and he'll be home before we know it, alright?"

"Okay, mommy.." Nova rubs her eyes and follows her nephew.

Jessica smiles softly before Danny walks over to help her up.

"How are you feeling, momma?" Sam asks.

"I feel okay.. a little sore but I'm doing well.  I just want him home." Jessica pouts.

"Jonas is a tough little fucker.  He'll be home soon."

"Samuel!  Watch your language!" Jessica says pointing her finger at him.

"Sorry!"

"He's right though, babe.  He's tough." Danny pulls her closer and kisses the top of her head.

"That's true.." Jessica inhales deeply. "I'm gonna take a shower.  Thank you two for watching the kids."

"It's not a problem!  You get some rest, Jessie." Tiffany says.

Jessica smiles softly then turns to Grayson.

"You're so quiet, my boy.  What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry.  I'm kinda sad Jonas isn't here.. but I know he'll be home soon."

Jessica's smile grows as she bends over to kiss his forehead.

The first night home without Jonas was difficult for everyone.  The next morning Jessica just wanted to get to the hospital to see her baby boy as soon as possible.

As Danny drove, Jessica lightly traced her fingers on her swollen tummy.

"I keep touching my belly like he's still in there!"

"I noticed that." Danny chuckles.

"It's just a habit now I guess.. No more babies in there!  I mean it this time!" She laughs.

"Haha!  We'll see!"

"Daniel!"

"I'm kidding!  But don't forget that little Jonas is all because of you!"

"I know!  But I don't even care anymore.. We made a beautiful little boy because of what I did!"

"That's true!" Danny laughs.

When arriving at the hospital the nursing staff greeted them cheerfully.

"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Huston!"

"Good morning!  How's my baby?  Was he a good boy last night?" Jessica smiles.

"Miss Jessie, your baby boy is a total sweetheart!"

"Aw!  Thank you." Jessica smiles.

"He's an angel!  He doesn't cry unless another baby cries.  Then he bawls right along with them!" She chuckles.

"Aw my baby!" Jessica places her hands on her chest.

"We moved him to be closer to his niece and well.. I don't know if she senses a family member near by or what, but she did very well last night!"

"Oh she did?  That's so great!  I know I'm just the grandma.. but.. please tell me she'll be okay.  My son was telling me that it's not looking so good for her.. They can't lose her!  Our family needs that beautiful little girl." Jessica says with tears forming.

"Miss Jessie, the doctors and nurses are doing everything they can for her.  We won't give up.. she's a fighter."

Jessica smiles softly as a tear rolls down her cheek.
"Thank you."

Jessica then wiped her tears and walked over to the babies.

"Look at you! My handsome smiling baby!"

"Say hi mommy! We're just cleaning his stitches up."

"Aw, okay.."

"He's been flirting with all the nurses this morning."

"That's my boy!" Danny smiles.

"Oh my precious!"

Jonas turns his head to his parents and Jessica smiles. "Hi baby!" Her voice goes high.

Jonas looks at his mommy with the sweetest little smile.

"It's mama! I heard you were a good boy last night!"

Jonas kicks his legs and swings his arms.

"Are you hungry, baby boy?"

"I think he is! You go ahead and get comfortable. We're just about finished."

"Okay. Let me just take his picture. Jonas, you are so adorable!"

Jessica snaps the picture then shows Danny. "He looks bigger in this picture, doesn't he?"

"Mhm! The camera adds ten pounds, huh, Jo?"

Jessica chuckles then looks at Valerie.
"Hi pretty girl.. did uncle Jonas take care of you last night?"

The baby squirms around.

"Lita loves you so much, princess."

The baby slowly opens her tiny eyes.

"Aw Danny, look at Her! She's looking at us!"

Danny smiles softly. "Look at her.. Val, you have to get better so papi can give you hugs and kisses."

Jessica cuddles into Danny as they stare down at the baby girl.
She watched them with her big beautiful eyes and didn't look away.

"She's so precious." Jessica says in a low voice.

July 6th.

Today before heading to the hospital the entire family is going out for lunch.  Today is the twins birthday, so Jessica wanted to spend some time with her baby boys.

"My Samuel and Jamesy.. Twenty eight!  Where in the world did the time go?"

"I know, we're old!" James chuckles.

"We may be old but I still look damn good!" Samuel says.

Jessica laughs. "You're not old!  But yes, you two are still and always will be so handsome.

"Yep!" Samuel smiles.

James rolls his eyes the hugs his mother.

"Thank you mom.  I'll never understand how you did it.  How you were able to bring both of us into this world at such a young age.  You truly are something special."

"Aw, baby!  You're so sweet!  It was hard, but so so rewarding.  You two are such a blessing to your father and I.. I know he's so proud of the men you are today."

May 1999.

"I can't find my notes from Ms. Sanders' class. Can I see yours?"

"Sammy, I don't want to study anymore." Jessica whines as she rolls over onto her back; her ginormous belly sticking up.

Sam chuckled and rubbed her tummy.

"These boys are beating me like crazy today, Sam!"

"Aw babe, I'm sorry. Boys, calm down and let mommy study." Sam says climbing on top of her and kissing her belly.

"I'm so tired. I don't know how much longer I can take."

"Jessie, they'll be here so soon! You're almost done." Sam smiles at her while resting his chin on her stomach.

Jessica chuckles.

"What?" Sam asks.

"Look how big my belly is! How am I supposed to get them out?"

"VERY Carefully."

"Shut up!" Jessica laughs and playfully taps his head.

"You'll get them out, don't worry. What we Need to worry about is their names."

"You name one and I'll name one?"

"Sounds good! Man, thank God we had two!"

Jessica chuckles and messes with his hair.

"Let's see.. What do you think about Grayson?" Sam asks.

"Grayson?"

"You don't like it?"

"I like it baby, but I don't think either one feels like a Grayson."

"Okay but remember that name! I really love it."

"You want more babies?"

"Well yeah! I want a huge family when we grow up."

"Alright, well I'll keep Grayson in mind." Jessica chuckles.

"Let's see.. how about I name this one waaaayyy up here." Sam kissed the top of her belly.

"Baby B?" Jessica giggles.

"And you name the one way down here." Sam then kisses the bottom of her belly.

"Baby A! Alright, deal!" Jessica smiles.

"Let me see if I can figure this out." Sam lays his ear against baby b and says, "Speak to me, baby!"

Jessica laughs making her belly jiggle.

"I'm getting something.. I think I got it.... YEP! I've got it, babe."

"What is it?"

"James. James Alexander."

"Ah! I love it, Sammy Wammy!"

"You do?!  Awesome!  Are you sure he feels like a James?"

"Absolutely!" Jessica smiles.

"Good! Now are you feeling anything?"

"I am, actually. I've felt this for quite a while."

"Let me hear it."

"Okay. Samuel Roger."

"What?!"

"What do you think?"

"That's my name!"

"I know!" Jessica laughs. "I want our first born baby boy to be named after his father. The most incredible boy I've ever met."

"Aw." Sam smiled and kissed Jessica's lips.

"We've just named two little boys!" Sam smiles.

"Yep!"

"Well at least we've accomplished something today, because this homework is never getting done."

"Baby, it's still early." Jessica says.

"I know that, but I have other plans." Sam smirks.

"Sammy!" She smiles cutely.

"Your family won't be home for a while. Let's have some fun."

"Okay!" Jessica giggles.
