"Zachary, what do we do?"

Zachary sighs and rubs his head.  A day that was supposed to be so happy was now filled with sadness.

"I don't know.. I wish I did."

Just a few minutes later both babies were screaming and crying.

"I don't know what to do!  They don't know me.. I think they need to feel your mom.."

"Well that's not an option, is it?" Zachary says harshly as he bounces the boy baby.

"I know.. I'm sorry.  I just think it's what they need.. she held them inside of her for so long.  She made them feel safe and now.. they don't feel safe-" Alyssa says as her voice cracks.

"Just Stop it!" Zachary shouts.

"They'll be fine!"

Alyssa bites her lip and looks down at the baby.

"She looks so much like your mom.. she's beautiful."

Zachary didn't respond.

"I think we should name her Jessica.. and name him Enrique."

Zachary closed his eyes and let out a deep breath.
"Enrique..
She loved that name so much!  I don't know where it came from." He chuckles.

"But she loved it.. and that's what your name is going to be, little guy.... Enrique." Zachary says with a soft smile.

Danny drove and drove.  He was trying to escape this living nightmare.  He ignored all calls and didn't bother checking messages.

The kids were obviously taking this extremely hard.
Nova and Samuel didn't understand, Grayson was a mess.  Michael was quiet and hadn't even visited the house.  Since Danny barely spoke to anyone, Zachary and the twins were in charge of the funeral arrangements.

"Look at these pictures.. she was always happiest with her children. She's SO beautiful!
.. Look at me.. a stud from birth." Sam tries being his usual funny self but can't.

"Shit!" He sighs and grabs his head.

"I can't believe this.. we lost dad.. but losing mom.. this is something I don't think any of us can handle.  The kids.. fuck..
What about Nova and Gray?  They're so young and.. they're gonna grow up without a mother.
And she's the best mother they could ever have.  No one in this world is greater than her!  She's sweet, and loving.. she tells you like it is.. she's beautiful.. She's.. She's momma.." James says as he breaks down.

"This is horrible.  I just want her back!  I was such a bad kid.. I talked back, got into trouble.. I really fucked up." Sam says.

"Mom loved all of us no matter what, Sam." Zachary steps in.

"She still loves us.
.. I just.. I can't never forgive myself for this.  If it wasn't for Ally and I, this would have never happened!"

"Don't do that to yourself, man."

"How?  Guys, I lost a mother already.. but Jess.. losing her is so much more painful for me.
No offense to my other mom, but I was young.
Losing Jessie..
losing mom.. it feels like there will never be light in my life again.  Without her to hold us all together and to help us through life.. what's worth being here?"

"I know.. I mean, Yes mom would tell us that we have so much.. we have our wives and our kids... but our mom is the center of everything for all of us!  I don't know how we'll get through it.. I don't know how Danny will get through it." Sam says.

"He's lost.  He can't even function without her.
He hasn't been in their room, he's barely been home, he hasn't showered.  He can't even speak to the kids.  I don't know what to do." James says.

There was a quick silence before Sam asked, "Zach.. their baby.. what's gonna happen?"

"My dad said he can't raise her.  Um.. I mean of course we'll take her and raise if that's what he wants but.. you guys know mom would want dad to keep her."

"Fuck!" Sam says standing up to pace the room.

"Mom has another baby!  Nova has a little sister, are we just never gonna tell her?"

"She should know." Zachary says.

"This is all so fucked up!"

That evening Danny went out as usual.
Everyone was at the house, Nova was acting up, which wasn't normal behavior for her.
Grayson sat there just staring at the blank tv as everyone moves around him.  That as well was not normal behavior.

"Nova, come here, sweetie." Zachary calls her over with the baby in his arm.

"What!" She snaps.

"Can you say hi to the baby?  She kinda looks like you, doesn't she?"

Nova just looks at him not even acknowledging the baby.  Nova usually Loves babies.

"Sweetie, she's your baby sister!"

"No she isn't."

"She is!  We named her Jessica.. after mommy."

"She's not my sister.  She killed my mommy!" Nova shouts and runs away."

Zachary sighs and hands the baby to Alyssa.
"That was stupid, I know.  I just had to tell her."

He then went over to comfort his little sister who was crying in the dark hallway.

"Hey.. Nova, come here.  I'm sorry, baby."

Zachary sits down and holds her on his lap.

"I'm sorry.. let's just calm down.  It's okay?  Breathe.."

"No it's NOT okay!  My mommy is dead!"

"Shh.. Nova."

Nova's sobs echoed through the hall.
A house that was Always filled with laughter was now overwhelmed with tears.

The day came to say goodbye to Jessica.

"Where's dad?  It's about to start!" Grayson says

Danny was a totally different man than he was just a week ago.  He looked terrible.  It was heartbreaking to see.

"There he is." Sam says.

Danny walked in and went straight to the casket.
He starred down to his beautiful wife.  Her hair was done, her makeup was perfect.  She still had a round tummy that held two little babies just a week ago.  She was absolutely breathtaking.

"Oh Jessica.. if I could go back baby, I would.  I just want to hold you, and kiss you.  I want to tell you have much I love you and how gorgeous you are.  I want you to fight with me, I want you to talk to me.. I want to make love to you, baby girl!" Danny bent forward and kisses her softly.

"I'm sorry." He whispers.

Without a single word to anyone he walked out alone.

"Daddy!" Nova screams and cries as she watches him walk away.

Albert sighed and picked her up to walk around for a while.

"I know it's hard on him Dee, but these are his kids and he should be here for them!"

"I know, Al.." Dorothy says staring straight ahead.

Zachary then stood up and walked after his father.

"Dad!  Dad!
DAD, listen to me!"

"I have nothing to say to you, Zachary!  It's your fault!  It's yours and Alyssa's fault she's gone!  I don't want to hear ANYTHING from you!" Danny gave him a look from Hell.

"Dad-"

"Leave me alone!" Danny roughly shoves him making Zachary fall to the ground.

Zachary stood up and watched him leave.
He was right.  It was their fault.  And that was something he was going to have to live with for the res of his life.

Danny popped open beer after beer as he drove, when suddenly he heard a voice.

"Daniel Sallis Huston!  What are you doing drinking and driving!" She snatches the beer from him and keeps it for herself.

"Jess?!"

"Well yeah! Who else has this beautiful voice?" Jessica jokes because she's screaming at him.

"Oh my gosh, Jessica!  Baby, you're here!"

"Yes, I'm here. Daniel, you have to stop this.  I love you, baby.. and I will always love you.. but you need to be there for our babies." She then takes his hand and looks deep into his eye.

"Every single one of them."

"I can't.  When I look at them I see you.  Especially baby.. baby Jessica."

"How Sweet they names her after me!  And little Enrique!  Jesus, I had to die just to get what I want!" She says then taking a sip of his beer.

"Why are you joking about this?"

"Because I'm okay.  I'm happy." Jessica smiles.

"Jessie, I miss you."

"Danny.. I never left." She says with a smile as she softly cups his cheek.

Jessica slowly disappears.

"Huh?" Danny snaps from his thoughts when he hears horns honking and people yelling.

He gasps and swerves.  Danny looses control of his car and flips off the road.

Danny woke up in a hospital room.  Decorated with Jessica's favorite flowers and pictures the kids drew for him.

"He's waking up!" He heard a familiar voice.

"Danny!  You're awake, baby!"

Danny rubs his eyes and takes a better look.

"Jessica?  Am I dreaming?  Did I die?"

"What?!  Honey no, you're okay!  Thank God You're okay!"

"Jess.. you're still pregnant."

"I still have a month, baby!  How long did you think you were out?" She laughs.

"You're alive."

"Yes, and so are you!" She giggles.

"This is real?  What happened?  I'm so confused!"

"That's normal, honey.  Four days ago I took the kids to the store by myself, it was torture by the way!  When I got home, you were still out.  I cooked and the kids and I took a nap.  I woke up to Sam barging into my room telling me you were in a car accident.  You've been out for four days! You scared me." Jessica says with a pout.

"Jessica!  Oh you have no idea how happy that makes me!" Danny grabs her hand and kisses it over and over again.

"What?" Jessica gives him a strange look.

"I had a dream.. A Nightmare!  You.. you had twins and one was ours-"

"That's weird!"

"You.. you died and.. I was a dick.  I didn't know....
Knowing I was never going to see you again.. Jessie, you're here!" Danny pulled her by the arm and hugged her as tight as possible.

He then kissed her lips and hugged her again.

"Oh you smell so good.  You're so beautiful.. oh Jessica!  I love you, baby.  I love you so so much!"

"Danny, I love you too."

"Jess, I know I can't live without you.  I don't want to Ever live without you!  I have to die first! There's no way I can take that again, it was torture! I'm so blessed I'm able to call you my wife.  I promise to never take you for granted.. I Love you!  Do you know that?"

"I do, Danny." Jessica smiles with tears in her eyes.

"Lay with me!" He smiles and makes room for her.

Jessica laid beside him and he held onto her never wanting to let her go.

"I love you so much, baby.. but not so tight around the belly area please. Our grandson is already pounding his little bum right on my bladder!"

"I'm sorry!" Danny releases his grip and Jessica sighs with relief.

"Your belly's so beautiful!" He smiles and places a kiss on it.

"Thanks!" Jessica laughs.

"You're my queen, Jessica Lange.
I never want to go a day without you, beautiful.  Never ever again."

Danny kisses her chest then lays on it.

Just then Zachary walks in.

"Hey!" He smiles.

"He's up! And I'm his queen apparently." She smiles.
