"These are nice pictures, mommy! Thank you for showing them to me!"

"You're welcome, sweetie." Jessica smiled softly.

"Why don't you go upstairs and wash up before dad comes home with dinner."

"Okay!"

Grayson runs upstairs and Jessica looks down at all of the pictures.
She starts crying seeing all of the different moments in their life. Jessica and Sam's 19 year anniversary was coming up in only a few days so seeing all of these pictures was really getting to her.

"Sammy.. I think about you every single say.. not a day goes by when I don't think about you.. your hugs.. your kisses.  The way you smelled, the way you spoke.. the way you loved me.  I still feel your love, Sammy.  When I said I loved you forever and ever, honey I meant it.  You will always be my husband.. it's me and you!  Sam and Jess against the world!" Jessica spoke with a tearful smile.

"Even though I love Danny now and have a baby with him.. that doesn't mean I love you any less.. I never thought I could love again, Sam.. but Danny is everything to me." Jessica's voice breaks.

"I sometimes wonder if you're upset with me because I've moved on.. but then I remember all the signs you sent me.. You sent Daniel Huston into my life and for that.. I will forever be grateful.  I have my baby girl.. I am so blessed.  And that's because of you.  You spent most of your life trying to give me the best.. and you did!  Now that you've passed.. honey you're still doing it!  Thank you, Sam.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I love you so much, baby!" Jessica said looking up to the sky.

"Mama?" Nova says snapping Jessica from her thoughts.

"Oh!  Hey! Hi, pretty girl!  Sorry about that.. Mama was having a moment!"

"Dat?  Dat?" Nova points to the ceiling.

"What do you see, pretty girl?"

"Dat!" She laughs.

Grayson runs down and throws himself next to Jessica.

"Nova, who do you see up there?"

Jessica and Grayson watch as Nova's little eyes move around the room to right beside Jessica and Grayson.
Nova giggles and tries waving.

"Mommy, maybe she sees my daddy!  You said babies can see angel's!" Grayson smiled so big.

"You know what?  Gray, that's exactly what she's looking at."

"Yeah?!" Grayson's eyes light up.

"Yes! You always saw your daddy.. you would just smile and smile.."

"That's cool."

"It is!" Jessica laughs and kisses Grayson's cheek.

September 28th.

"James honey, when are you coming home? You and Caroline aren't planning on moving out of the country, are you?"

"Of course not! We'll be back next week!"

"Really?" Jessica was so excited.

"Yeah! So tell Zach and Mike to get the hell out of our house."

"James!" Caroline shouts.

"Oh James, you're a mess! Well I can't wait to see you both! We all miss you terribly."

"We miss you all too!"

Jessica gasps.

"You okay, Ma?"

"Yeah sorry, Sam and Tiffany are out and I'm babysitting. That little Samuel is becoming more and more of a mess!"

"Well look who his father is!" James chuckles.

"True!" Jessica laughs.

"Oh Jamesy you sound so great! I'm so happy you two got to experience all of this."

"It's been great!
.. We're happy."

"That's amazing, baby boy.
Samuel no!  Put that away!  Leave Fred alone!"

James laughs.
"I'll let you go, sounds like someone's getting into some trouble." James chuckles.

"Yes he is! Alright, well I'll talk to you later, sweet boy. Love you!"

"Love you too, momma!"

James hangs up and sighs.

"That was so hard!"

Caroline laughs.

"Babe, please! I have to say something! I have to tell someone! Anyone!"

"James, it's still too early."

"No it isn't! It's Not!"

"Well it's too early for me."

"Honey please.. I just want to tell everyone that my beautiful wife is pregnant with my little baby." James walks over and wraps his arms around her waist.

"James.." Caroline's voice was low.

"I know.
I know what we've been through scares you.. it scares me too.  But this baby deserves to be celebrated.  Our family will be so happy.  Plus we can't think that something will happen.. it's not good for me and especially you or the baby."

"But James.. I'm still scared!" Caroline fights her tears.

"Don't get upset.  I just.. I want you to be happy about this."

"James, you know I am!  I lost a baby, that's a good reason to be afraid!"

"I know, I know, I'm sorry." James holds her in his arms.

"It's just that I'm super close to my mom and I know how happy she would be.  Telling our parents wouldn't be bad, right?" James looks into her eyes with a sad puppy dog look.

"Okay.. I'll let you tell someone."

"Really?!" James' eyes light up.

"Mhm! Anyone here! You can go outside and scream it on the top of your lungs if you want. We don't know them." She smiles.

"Alright!" James jumps up and runs outside.

"James!" Caroline laughs and follows him.

"I'M GONNA BE A FATHER! I'M GONNA BE A FATHER!"

"Oh my goodness!" Caroline covers her face and laughs.

"Excuse me ma'am, do you see this gorgeous woman right here?" James points to Caroline.

"Yes." The woman chuckles.

"Well my baby is in there!"

"Congratulations!"

"Thank you! It's mine!"

"James!" Caroline laughs.

"Well it is!"

"Sir!  Excuse me sir!" James chases down an older gentleman.

"That beautiful lady right there is my wife and she's carrying my baby!"

The man smiles and nods before walking away.

"I don't think he spoke english but it's okay!  We're having a baby!" James runs to Caroline and picks her up before spinning her in circles.

Two weeks earlier.

James and Caroline are currently in Italy. They spent night after night dinning out at many romantic restaurants, spending the day on the beach or walking around and meeting all kinds of new people. It was like a dream. This is definitely what they both needed. After the loss of their baby they both drifted a little and now they were closer than ever.

"Okay baby, we have reservations at one of Italy's most finest restaurants in about twenty minutes so if you don't get up we are going to be in ritardo."

Caroline groans still buried under her covers.

"That means late... come on, get up!"

"James, I can't go. I feel so sick."

"Why baby?"

"I must've eaten something bad."

"Honey were in Italy! The Italian's do no wrong when it comes to food!"

"Well I'm sick! James, please just turn the light off and leave!"

"Really babe?"

"Yes! Get Out!"

James sighs and pauses for a few seconds.

"You know what? We're getting you out of this bed and to a doctor!"

"James Stooop!" Caroline whines.

"We're in Italy! You need to get well Now!"

"I just wanna sleep!"

"Shhh.. I'm taking you. Now get dressed!"

"Fuck you!"

"Caro.. that's really mean. I'm just trying to help you out."

"I'm sorry.. you're right, you're just being nice to me.. I'm so sorry."

"It's fine baby, now let's go! Maybe if I call the restaurant they can hold a space for us after we get out!"

Caroline laid on James' shoulder out in the waiting room.

"My poor baby.. hopefully they can give you something good so you can get rid of this sickness and not give it to me." James chuckles.

After calling her back and speaking with her the doctor asked if her periods were regular.

"Uh well.. I.. I gave birth just a few months ago to baby that was um... he was stillborn.. so I've only like two since then."

"Oh okay.. I'm very sorry for your loss."

"Thank you." Caroline lowers her head.

The doctor sent her in for blood work then asked them to come back shortly after.

Caroline sat beside James as they waited for the doctor to come in.

James heard a noise and looked at Caroline.
"Was that your stomach?"

"Yes I'm starving!" She pouts.

"Well after throwing up as much as you have I can see why!  My poor baby.." James pouts and softly caresses her cheek.

The doctor comes in and sits in front of them.

"The results came back and it's just what I suspected.. Caroline you're pregnant."

Her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped.
This was something neither one were ever expecting.

"Pregnant?" James smiles.

"Yes." The doctor nods.

"But I- I... I'm pregnant?"

"Yes ma'am." He chuckles.

"Oh my gosh." Caroline looks at James with tears in her eyes.

James hugs her tightly and let's his tears fall.
"A baby, Caro!  We're having a baby!"

A small sob escapes her.
She was so happy but she was also very scared.  What if what happened to Lucas happened to this baby?  She couldn't go through that again.

"Doctor I know it's very busy here but.. Could I at least hear my baby's heartbeat?  I have to make sure it's okay."

"Of course!  I will send a nurse in to show you to a room and let you hear the heartbeat."

"Thank you so much."

"You're very welcome.  Congratulations."

"Thank you."

"A baby, Caroline!" James couldn't stop smiling.

"I know.." She smiles softly.
Caroline didn't want to get too excited.  After going through what she went through it was hard to just be happy.

Caroline's heart raced waiting to hear the baby's heartbeat.
Finally they heard it and it was so strong.  She smiled and tears silently fell down her cheeks.

They were planning on coming back before going back home to Minnesota for their first ultrasound and find out the baby's due date.

The day before heading home.

"Caroline, you're already getting a little bump!"

"Well I already had a little one left from Lucas so now I just look extra big!" She chuckles.

"I think you look beautiful."

"Thanks baby." She smiles softly.

"Are you ready to see our baby?"

Caroline smiles and nods.
Of course her anxiety was getting to her before the ultrasound.  Caroline was worried something might have happened to the baby.  She tried to seem as if everything was okay, but inside she was freaking out.

Caroline's Doctor measured her belly and made sure everything was okay.

"How far along is she?" James asks.

"I'll know a little more after the ultrasound but I'll say around twelve to thirteen weeks."

James smiles at Caroline and says, "Luck of the Irish!"

Caroline laughs.
"We have a little leprechaun!"

Their baby was conceived in Ireland so this trip was even more exciting and special to them.

"Alright, ready to see your baby?" He asks.

Caroline smiles and nods her head.
