Two days later Jessica was discharged from the hospital. However, baby Jonas was not.
Despite not being able to go home with his parents, the baby was doing very well.  Jessica was even going to be able to hold him today.

This morning Jessica got dressed and went to see her baby boy, but first she stopped by to see Valerie.

"Good morning, Princess!" Jessica smiled at the precious little baby.

"Say, Hi, baby girl!" Alyssa smiles.

"You two know each other?  Oh wait!  Huston!  Haha, I never even noticed that!" One of the younger nurses says.

"Yes! This is my granddaughter!" Jessica smiles down to the tiny infant.

"What?! Ms. Jessie, you're a grandma?!"

"I am! I have six gorgeous grand babies." Jessica smiles proudly.

"Oh my gosh! How many kids do you have?"

"Seven beautiful babies! Six boys and a baby girl."

"You're kidding me!  You have seven kids?!"

"Yep!" Jessica smiles.

"Oh my gosh!  You had ALL of them?"

"My first four are from a previous marriage.  After my husband passed, I met Danny and my Zachary." Jessica smiles and places her hand on her son's arm.

"This boy is my baby!" She says gently pulling him down and going up on her tip toes for a kiss on the cheek.

"I adopted him and Danny adopted my son Grayson, and together we have Nova and Jonas.  But in our family there are no steps, we're just family." She smiles.

"Aw!  That's quite an amazing story!"

"Thanks." Jessica giggles.

"So these two are cousins.. Wait!  Never mind, he's her uncle!" The young woman laughs.

"Yeah, it's all a little confusing.  My six year old makes her nephew who is two weeks older than her call her aunt Nova."

"Oh my gosh, that's great!" The woman laughs.

"Yeah, she's a hoot." Jessica chuckles.

"Well we'll have to move Jonas closer so they can keep each other company."

"Aw Yes!  So how is my little guy doing today?" Jessica asks walking over to her baby boy.

"He's doing very well!  He's ready for mommy to hold him, and maybe even Feed him!"

"Oh yay! Come on, baby boy. Mama's ready, and daddy's coming!  He had to go back to grab the camera!"

"Aw!  Well we can wait a while.. he doesn't seem very fussy.  He's been a total angel since he's arrived.  Makes my job easy!" The nurse smiles.

"Aw!  Well good boy!" Jessica smiles and plays with his little foot.

"Where is daddy?!  Mommy's becoming very impatient!"

"There he is!" The nurse points.

"Yay!" Jessica wiggles her butt then sits down so she can hold her son for the first time since birth.

"Hey!  I'm here, little buddy!" Danny smiles.

The nurse picks him up and Jessica immediately gets a sick feeling in her stomach.

"Oh I'm nervous now!"

"Why, baby?" Danny asks.

"What if I hurt him?  He's probably in pain, isn't he?"

"Babe, look at him." Danny chuckles and looks at the baby who was cooing and kicking his little legs with excitement.

"He looks great!"

"Still!  He must be in some type of pain.  It's horrible because he can't even tell me if it hurts.." Jessica said; her eyes filling with tears.

"Your baby boy is doing great, Ms. Jessie.  He's going to feel even greater in Mommy's arms." The nurse says.

Jessica smiles softly and holds her arms out.

The moment the baby touches Jessica she starts crying.

"Oh my baby!  My handsome little boy!"

Jessica softly caresses his cheek as tears roll down her face.

"Those few seconds after you entered the world just weren't enough!  But don't worry cause mommy is gonna spend the rest of her life just showering you with love and kisses! I'm gonna give you so many cuddles!  Sound good?"

The baby smiles and makes the cutest and tiniest little noise.

"Oh I think you like that idea!" Jessica giggles.

"Muah!  I love you, handsome."

Soon Jessica could tell he needed to be nursed.  She adjusted herself, and brought the baby's mouth to her breast.

Jonas puckered his lips making his parents laugh.

"Open your mouth, silly boy!" Jessica says tickling his chubby little cheek.

Jonas then opens his mouth wide and begins whining.

"I know you're hungry, it's right there, honey!"

The baby moves his head around and starts crying.

"Oh gosh!  That's terrifying!  Jonas baby, don't cry!  Oh I'm afraid he'll hurt himself!  I'm scared he'll pop a stitch!"

"It's okay, buddy!  Mrs. Huston, try massaging your breast to get it flowing.  You should start leaking soon, when you do let it drip over his mouth so he tastes it."

"Okay.. Danny, will you help me?"

"Massage your breasts?  I guess.." Danny sighs jokingly.

"Daniel!" Jessica rolls her eyes as the nurse chuckles.

Soon, Jessica began to leak.
As soon as Jonas tasted his mother's breast milk, he stopped crying and his eyes widened slightly.

"Mmm.. Yummy, huh?" Jessica smiles.

Jessica tapped her nipple on his lips, and after a two second pause, Jonas latched on and began eating like a pro.

"There we go!  He's got it." Jessica giggles.

"That's my boy!" Danny smiles.

Jessica looks up at him and laughs, then looks back down to the baby.  He made the cutest little noises as he ate.

"Is it just so yummy, Jonas?  Hm?  Yummy for your tummy!" Jessica spoke in a cute voice just before she placed three soft kisses on his head.

"Eat up, my beautiful baby boy."

Danny and Jessica spent the entire day with their new baby. They were so amazed at the strength of this little boy. He was only two days old but, they were already So proud.

"Jonas Zane Huston.. such a strong name for an even stronger little boy.. you're such a gift." Jessica says softly caressing his tiny arm.

"Mommy loves you, Jonas....
Oh Danny, I don't want to leave him!" Jessica cries softly.

"I know, honey. We'll be back in the morning."

"What if something happens?"

"He's in good hands, nothing is going to happen."

"But what if it does?"

"Then we drive over. Baby girl, it's okay!"

"Okay.. Oh gosh." She sighs. "You be a good boy for your night nurse. Have sweet sweet dreams, and be safe! No crying, remember?"

Jessica smiled at her as his arms danced with happiness.

"Man, between you and your brother Grayson, I don't know who's a happier baby! You're just so excited!" Jessica smiles.

"Goodnight, Jonas. Mommy loves you so much."
